Story
MEET Bailey She is from a heeler group we got in. They are approx. 12-14 weeks old and ready for their new beginning. The owner refused to surrender them; they were then found at large along with one who was possibly hit by a car. Their brother was lucky to get into an amazing foster to adoptive home leaving these 3 girls looking for their new home! Please contact us if you’d like to meet them! There is a rescue that is willing to help with low cost spays for these girls. They will be required to be fixed as well as given a rabies vaccine. They’ve had 1 puppy shot and will still need another 2. Rescues, adopters, fosters - please contact us if you can help!

Story
Stella is a 4 year old supermutt (according to her Embark DNA test). We have had her since she was 4 months old as she was dropped off on the side of the road, she is used to having a yard to run around in and plenty of play. Over the years, we have always had a multi-dog household with cats as well, but despite the attempts of socialization and training (professional training included), she has proven to be a no dog, no cat household type of gal. She is territorial/reactive against other animals. She is the biggest lovebug we know to both males and females, she loves to cuddle and will be your alarm clock when she needs to go outside. Perfectly kennel trained, knows basic commands such as "come here", her name, "sit", "paw/shake", is not food or toy territorial toward humans. She is a leash tugger when she is excited, but is used to harnesses. Rehoming fee just to prove seriousness in adopter, this is a very hard decision for all of us but she deserves to feel comfortable and happy.

Story
Meet Zip! Zip is a beautiful, fluffy red heeler looking for his forever home. He is 1 and a half years old and about 32 lbs. He is a friendly, medium energy boy who loves to play with toys and be around his people. He loves a good cuddle on the couch and has the most adorable wigglebutt when he's happy to see you. Zip is dog friendly with proper introductions but can sometimes go into herding mode during play, so he will need tolerant play mates and an adopter who has experience with cattle dogs. He responds well to correction and just needs structure and guidance to know what is and isn't acceptable play behavior. He will do best in a home without young children, but would be fine with children over 10 years old. Zip goes in his crate on command and doesn't have any accidents or separation anxiety, but he could still use a little bit of help when it comes to potty training since he likely lived outdoors prior to coming to POLAR. He rides well in the car and is great for all things grooming. He will need regular brushing to maintain his longer coat and shaving of his paw pads if you have hardwood floors, or else he turns into a very ungraceful ice skater when he's trying to walk around inside. If you're interested in meeting Zip to see if he might be a good fit for your household, start by submitting an adoption application here: https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application   Zip is currently being fostered in Midlothian, Texas. A meet and greet with all existing dogs and members of the family will be required prior to adoption to ensure the best fit. Please share to help Zip find his family! Adoption fee of $295 includes neuter/spay, microchip, heartworm testing, deworming, vaccinations, and other necessary procedures.  Applications without a phone number will not be processed.Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  April 25, 2024, 12:24 am
