Timber is a very smart dog she’s been trained to sit and she’s house trained, played with families and friends dogs very well. She’s loved around the house and will be missed but with school and work it’s hard for me to get her out and let her live and I would rather her have a family that can make that happen, I hate to let her go but I’d rather her have a more better life in a better environment.

**RESCUE ONLY**This high-spirited spunky pup is Elsa, listed as an Aussie Cattle Dog mix, that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 8/21. My Dog Scanner also identifies other possible breeds in her mix: Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog and Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. This adorable cutie patootie weighs 6 pounds and is approx 2 months old, which is the reason for her being Rescue Only at this time. She is an “on the move” youngster that made it a bit difficult to get non-blurry pictures! She is playful and was crazy about a squeaky toy she found in the toy box. She does jump constantly on you as do most two month old puppies. This is normal behavior and a rescue foster would be able to train her not to do this as well to learn some commands and figure out what is appropriate behavior. She will definitely need daily playtime, exercise, and interaction. She’s crazy about treats and that should help make training easier. Elsa is also fine with being cuddled, hugged and loved on. And once some of that puppy behavior has worked herself out, she would be happy to relax in your lap, in your arms or on the couch next to you.
