Story
Hunk is an 8 week old puppy. Raised with his mom (blue texas heeler), dad (pure red cattle dog) & 1 sibling. These dogs are extremely smart and require a lot of attention and exercise. RESEARCH Australian Cattle Dogs so you know what you are getting into. They are super smart and easy to train but can be stubborn. They are not trusting of strangers and can be reactive to other dogs and strangers that get too close or if this breed has not gotten enough exercise to stimulate their body AND brain. He is up to date on his vaccines and we have the records to prove it. Willing to provide more pictures to serious inquiries only. Looking for serious pet owners who have the time and dedication for this breed. we are located in Arlington, va not tx.

Story
I got Apollo from a breeder 5 years ago when i was 15 and he has been my best friend since! unfortunately, he can no longer stay at my parents house because my nephews had to move in, and he doesn’t do well with kids. As a college student i have no where to keep him anymore, and have to find him a new home. He has the goofiest personality and is super affectionate, but he does have some anxiety, so he can be a bit skittish around new people sometimes. Nevertheless he has always been a big baby to those around him, the only things he doesn’t like are kids and other pets. I know those aren’t super ideal characteristics, but he seriously is the best dog ever and is so loyal. He will make you laugh SO much with his goofy personality, and his attachment to the red Kong ball he always has! He is house trained and very smart, does amazing on a leash, even around kids/animals, and loves fetch. If you want a super loyal and loving dog and think Apollo would be a good fit for you, reach out!!

Story
Hello I'm Radar! Everyone always talks about my ears! I am a young adult and have some puppy energy. I love to chew on toys and I may need some help learning what is okay to gnaw on. I love to play with dogs and I love people! I would do best in a home with other dog friends to play with. I have spent most of my puppy life in a shelter so I am working on house training. I enjoy my crate and love to snack on some frozen kongs while you are out.

Story
Paloma is a 4 year old Cattle Dog/Collie mix, which makes for a beautiful and intelligent young lady who is independent and athletic. She is house and crate trained and loves to play with her circle of friends who are similar in size or larger. Same for kids; probably older kids would be her preference.Paloma gets to sleep in her foster mom's bed because she doesn't take over the bed, will share a blankie, and is really grateful to have a bed buddy. All-in-all, she has decent house manners, but will need to learn the house rules in her forever home. And she will. She enjoys car rides and standing at the highest point of the yard to scout the area for squirrels and cats that need to be informed of the boundary line. Her ideal home would be with someone who will make her feel special, ideally a one-and-only relationship. She's fine in a crate but prefers her human most of the time. She'll be a devoted companion to her new people. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in learning more about Paloma, please text Liz at 214-616-6128. Story
Meet Dalton, a sweet 2 to 3-year-old Blue Heeler mix who has had a tough start to life. He is a bit scared and unsure of new people and new situations, which can cause him to become nippy. But don't let that fool you! Underneath his fear is a loving and loyal dog who just needs a patient and understanding owner to help him build his confidence.Dalton has a lot of potential and with time, patience, and proper training, he will become a wonderful companion. He needs an adopter who is willing to work with him and help him overcome his fears. Positive reinforcement training methods will be the key to helping Blue feel safe and secure in his new home. He has shown great progress when working with our junior volunteers over the age of 8, but he still needs a low stress home where he can feel safe and secure. With his beautiful coat and bright, curious eyes, Dalton is sure to capture your heart. He loves to play and go for walks, but can sometimes be timid around new people or loud noises. He would do best in a quiet, low-stress home with a patient and understanding owner who can give him the love and support he needs to flourish. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who just needs a little extra TLC, Dalton may be the perfect match for you. With your help and guidance, he will become a confident and happy dog who will always be by your side. Curious to find out more about Dalton? Visit www.shelter2rescue.org or text his foster mom Liz 214-616-6128. If you are interested in fostering a pet , please visit our website www.shelter2rescue.org to fill out an application

UPDATE 9/11/23. TILLIE HAS JUST GRADUATED FROM BOARD AND TRAIN! She played with at least 5 dogs there, knows her commands, and is ready for her forever home! Tillie is VERY active and would be best suited with another doggie playmate in her new home. OR perhaps someone who would like to train with her for agility or some other event. Tillie is exceptionally smart! PRECIOUS TILLIE!! LOOK AT THOSE EARS!!!!! Tillie is a medium sized dog and weighs approximately 37 pounds. She is an Australian cattle dog mix, 9 months old, spayed, current on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative. She is also microchipped. Tillie was out of time at a local shelter and we just HAD to get her! SMART!! SMART!! And LOVES to play fetch with you. Here is a video of her with her "big stick" which she alternates with her "Tillie Ball". She has a lot of playing to do and a lot of love to learn about. Tillie will need an active family that will make her a real part of their family and take her with them where they are able. For more information, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Story
Just a boy and his ball. What a big, beautifully marked boy that will play ball till your arm hurts. He knows all the basic commands and walks great on a leash! He will entertain you with rollover and shake. All you need are some treats, and, in a few minutes, he will learn a new command or trick. He's looking for a foster or adopter and promises to be a good boy! Fella is a sweet, faced boy; just look at those freckles. He is a well behaved and gets along with other dogs and people. Like many dogs he has a prey drive for his fellow cats. Fella likes people, even though he plays it cool for a bit, he will show you his goofy side and loyal heart of gold in no time. Making new dog friends is not always easy for him. He's a big strong guy and can be a bit intimidating at first. He has lived with other dogs and with time and proper introductions he could be part of a pack. He loves car rides, enjoys a good walk and likes to play ball. Fella went in for photographs and was just a perfect gentleman. He made himself right at home in the studio. He just loves to be near people. Looked like life had been rough on this fella, he had patchy fur and calloused knees. Despite that he was affectionate and sweet. Fella was left to be euthanized at the shelter after adopter surrendered and the "rescue" turned their back on him because "they just don't take big dogs anymore". This boy deserves better. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Scout is one of our pups that make us shake our head and wonder why has he not found a foster or a home? Scout is just an overall great guy. Scout is a handsome, hound mix. He is estimated to be approximately 4 years old. Scout can be a little timid in new situations but when he relaxes his whole face lights up! He is a medium-large sized fellow, and he loves his toys and treats. Scout is a happy, family, dog friendly boy who just wants to be a loyal companion. Scout is one of our all-time favorites. He had a home, but the family fell into crisis, so he was returned. Since his return he has been nothing but a wonderful boy. Oh, our sweet, good-looking Scout. He has been special to us since his birth in 2019. Our hearts broke when we got the call from the shelter that Scout was surrendered. He was a Dogrrr from birth; while we always take our dogs back, he was surrendered to the shelter as part of the "return crisis". He is a good boy, and we can't imagine why he was surrendered. He has shown nothing but love, sweetness and innocence. Scout fought the odds of distemper death. His poor mom was in the shelter and not treated well while being pregnant, we worked hard to get her out so she would not get exposed to possible illness but unfortunately due to protocol she had to stay in the shelter, while we did get her before the babies were born, she and her babies got distemper. They struggled to survive, and Scout was the lone survivor along with his beautiful mom Linda. You may remember the videos of the two pair of pregnant girls dragged into a shelter. Scared out of their minds; sweet Linda gave birth two weeks later. She seemed so relieved to be safe and able to decompress in a foster home before she delivered her pups. Now you see why this adorable boy deserves nothing but the best. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Jessica at jessbryson777@gmail.com ** Hunter is looking for a loving forever home. He is a big ball of enjoy and needs physical and mental stimulation every day. If he doesn't get his needs met he will become very destructive. He enjoys going on hikes, boulder climbing, swimming, kayaking, camping and road trips. Due to Hunter being a velcro dog he has major separation anxiety and needs to be with his person majority of the time.  He would do best on a family farm or some who has some land where he can be your side outside and help you with daily chores. He does not enjoy having other doges in his personal space so he would do best being the only dog. He enjoys playing and being around older children ages 10 and up. He would be a great addition to any outdoor enthusiasts family or rancher that is looking for a combination to protect and serve their family and property.March 2, 2024, 5:57 pm

Story
Meet Millicent!Millicent is a sweet, smart, and beautiful 1 year old girl. She is a cuddly Aussie who enjoys belly rubs and nuzzling up to her humans. She is house trained, uses a doggy door, walks on a leash, loves to be brushed and follows basic commands. Millicent is potty and crate trained.Millicent was found in Arlington this past summer left to fend for herself - because of this and other unknown factors, Millicent will take a while to warm up to her new environment. She is especially weary of men/boys and the entire family will have to proceed with patience and caution, but once she is comfortable, she is the MOST wonderful, loving dog. Because of the loyalty and love she has for her people, Millicent is very protective and acts out when guests come over. She will bark, growl and lunge in protection. Millicent will need a very patient family who will help her gain confidence and use the leash and crate as needed for protection for any house guest.Millicent enjoys other calm, adult dogs, but she does not like energetic dogs who jump. Millicent bonds very tightly to the people she loves. She and my daughter have become extremely close. She lays on her bed for full cuddle sessions and is a shadow to me, always showering me with kisses. Millicent is drawn to females and would do best in a home with at least one woman. With patience and proper training Millicent will thrive. She is a beautiful, loving dog that has so much love to give!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step.
