Story
Meet Hannah! Hannah is a shy and timid girl who is 2 years old and searching for someone who can give her lots of patience and love. Hannah was rescued from a severe hoarding case, so she had a rough start in life. She recently completed several training sessions and has come a long way. She would benefit from an experienced dog lover who can continue to invest in her training. Hannah is incredibly smart, crate-friendly, walks well on a leash, dog/cat friendly, and rarely barks. She's mostly potty-trained, so a fenced-in backyard and someone who is often home would keep accidents to a minimum. She's a beautiful girl and will make a wonderful companion for someone. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Kaida! I'm Kaida, a spirited and playful 5 month old Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle/Chihuahua mix searching for my forever home!I'm already house-trained and have mastered the doggy door like a little pro! I absolutely adore being around humans and playing with other dogs - it's my favorite pastime!I've got typical puppy energy, so I'll need some playtime, activities & more training to keep me entertained. Sometimes I may get a bit excited or nervous and accidentally twinkle, but I'm learning every day! Having a confident fur-sibling will help me to keep me socialized lots & gain more confidence myself. It only takes me about 5 minutes to warm up to new friends, but once I do, I'm ready to be your loyal companion! I'm super food motivated and eager to please, making training a breeze! With just a little redirection, I'm quick to learn.I'm used to having my feedings in a crate, although I'm not quite used to spending a lot of time there. I much prefer being out and about with my favorite humans! Could you be the loving family I've been dreaming of?To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Marjorie! Marjorie, a 2-year-old pitbull/blue heeler mix, has shown remarkable resilience. Rescued while pregnant, she gave birth while in the rescue, and though her puppies have been adopted, she's still waiting for her own forever home. Despite being heartworm positive when rescued, she completed treatment in January and is now healthier and stronger than ever, though her recovery wasn't without challenges; she had to be hospitalized twice due to complications.Marjorie is sweet and affectionate, loves cuddling, and is always ready to greet her person with full-body wiggles. While she had to rest a lot during her recovery, she's still learning how to walk on a leash outside of the backyard and can be nervous with passing cars and new noises. She warms up to new people quickly and is learning to sit and greet rather than jump. Marjorie enjoys playing, especially de-fluffing stuffed toys, tug-o-war, and patrolling the yard for squirrels and lizards. She also loves chew sticks and licky mats.Marjorie is intelligent and eager to please, picking up commands quickly. She knows "sit," "come," "wait," "place," and is learning "off," "lay down," and "paw." She is crate trained and housebroken. In a fenced space, Marjorie is energetic, bounding across the area impressively. While a 6-foot fence can contain her well, she has been known to clear gates up to 4 feet. She likes to dig but stops quickly with correction and has learned not to do so in her foster yard.Marjorie has a high prey drive and would likely not do well with cats. She is also territorial with other female dogs due to hormones from having puppies, so she would do better either as an only dog or with medium to larger males. She has shown some food, water, and toy aggression with her foster brother (a corgi) and is working on desensitization.Marjorie would make an excellent companion for an active adult willing to spend some time helping her build confidence. She would also be a great addition to a family with older children, as she appreciates her space being respected. She's ready for a home where she can receive the love and care she deserves. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Meet Grogu! A tiny bundle of joy and endless delight! At just 7 weeks old, she's already making strides in her potty training, diligently learning to do her business in the grass right after waking up. Grogu is expected to stay small to medium-sized, likely under 25 lbs, but her heart is enormous. Story
Meet Oswald! Oswald is sweet silly 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix looking for a mildly active home. He loves to play and is very gentle with other dogs. Prefers less pushy playmates. Calm with a natural off switch, very gentle and respectful of your personal space. He over come many set backs as a puppy can came out as a true survivor ready to take on the world. He knows sit, down, stay, leave it, place, and has leash walking skills. He pulls lightly sometimes, but otherwise walks very well. Loves older kiddos. He will need time to be slowly introduced to new environments. He is shy and needs a 2 - 3 day warm up period where her can chill in his kennel and get used to the new environment and sounds. After warming up he is easy to manage and a joy to have in the house. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Dillion! Dillion, a playful and energetic 2 year old, who is incredibly smart. He easily navigates around the house and loves bounding up and down stairs. Snuggling on the couch and playing with his fluffy toys are among his favorite pastimes. He's a loyal companion, always by your side, and responds promptly when called. His leash manners are excellent, and he enjoys walks, although he might need a bit more exercise after being neutered. Dillion is highly food motivated, responding to commands when treats are involved. He prefers a mix of wet and dry food. He would thrive in a home where he's the center of attention and the only pup, as he enjoys being the star of the show.
