They are both fixed and up to date on vaccines and ready to acclimate in a home environment from being rescued from the Apple Valley shelter. They’re currently boarded with a vet and are in desperate need of a foster home or forever home. They are super sweet and we would love for each of them to go to a home with another friendly dog sibling. MooMoo needs an experienced handler**  MooMoo is a year old border collie, who desperately needs a Forever home. She was an owner surrender who said their landlord was going to kick them out if they didn’t get rid of her. For such a young dog, she came to us with such sad eyes.  She gets along great with dogs and would do best in a home with low traffic and with humans that will work with her on structure and training. Please no homes with a lot of people coming in and out and no young kids.  MooMoo is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccines. She’s a very sweet girl that deserves a home that will love her forever. She does have some trust issues with people so someone who has experience dealing with that would be best or who has another dog in the home that she can follow their lead on how to deal with strangers. If you’re MooMoo’s forever family, please fill out an application on our website: https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlMarch 25, 2024, 10:15 pm

Story
Canyon, a vibrant one-year-old Border Collie Lab mix, is eagerly awaiting his forever home! With a striking combination of intelligence and boundless energy, Canyon is the perfect outdoor companion for an active and loving family. This playful pup, generously given to us by a friend of a relative, has quickly become a beloved member of our household. However, due to financial constraints and the busy schedules of everyone in the house, we find ourselves unable to meet Canyon's needs as a young and energetic dog. Canyon thrives on activity and loves being outdoors, making him the ideal partner for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. His smart and loyal nature ensures he quickly becomes a cherished member of any family lucky enough to adopt him. We are seeking a loving home where Canyon can receive the attention, playtime, and outdoor adventures he truly deserves. His rehoming is motivated by a genuine desire to provide him with the best possible environment to thrive.

Story
Hi, I’m Kylo. I’m a 3 year old border collie. I love long walks and being outside. I am loving and playful. An ideal home for me would be someone without kids who has a big yard for me to run around in. I am house trained and do not make accidents in the house. I am scared of the washer and dryer machine. But other than that I love treats and lots of hugs and kisses. Looking for a new forever home.

Story
Brewski’s previous owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for this sweet guy so AALOC took him in. This young Border Collie mix is very playful and loving and gets along great with other dogs. Brewski is a medium-size dog, weighing in at about 45 pounds. According to the American Kennel Club the Border Collie are amazing dogs. They are particularly energetic, athletic, and playful and are known for being workaholics. Although a Border Collie will enjoy cuddle time, it is only after they have spent their energy with walks, play and training. In the canine world, Border Collies are among the most agile, balanced, and durable breeds. They are usually very good at agility training and giving a Border Collie a job is important to their happiness. Border Collies are also known for their intense ‘herding eye’ gaze and their almond-shaped eyes. Please apply to adopt Brewski at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Brewski and get to know him a bit. Donation of $165 for dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA). For more information on adoption policies visit our dog adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org or by phone (714) 893-4393.

Story
Fosters or foster-to-adopt homes in Orange County needed for the Hawaii litter! Our partners over on the Big Island have asked for our help with these four adorable pups that will be ready to fly in about 3 weeks. In order to get them out of the overcrowded animal control facility they are currently residing in (which has a 30% euthanasia rate), we need to line up fosters or adopters here! By the time they fly, they will be about 9 weeks old. They will be microchipped, dewormed, spayed/neutered (they cannot leave animal control unaltered), and will have had their first vaccinations in addition to flea/tick/hw medication. We are guessing (but are not 100% sure) that they are Australian Shepherd/Border Collie/Terrier mixes and may grow to be anywhere from 40lbs-60lbs. Please keep in mind these are puppies, and they will be a lot of work! They have had no training and will need help with potty training, basic obedience, and crate training. We need people for them who understand that and are up for the challenge of helping them learn to be their best selves. Whoever decides to take that on will be rewarded with an amazing pup! Please head to our website to fill out a foster questionnaire or an adoption application if you would like to help one of these adorable little babies!

Although we are not placing Savannah and her sister Sedona together, it would be great if someone is interested in two to consider them. If not together, we would like to adopt them out to a home with another dog or someone who has time to keep them well socialized. They had a rough start to life, and we want the very best for them.
