Story
Brewski’s previous owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for this sweet guy so AALOC took him in. This young Border Collie mix is very playful and loving and gets along great with other dogs. Brewski is a medium-size dog, weighing in at about 45 pounds. According to the American Kennel Club the Border Collie are amazing dogs. They are particularly energetic, athletic, and playful and are known for being workaholics. Although a Border Collie will enjoy cuddle time, it is only after they have spent their energy with walks, play and training. In the canine world, Border Collies are among the most agile, balanced, and durable breeds. They are usually very good at agility training and giving a Border Collie a job is important to their happiness. Border Collies are also known for their intense ‘herding eye’ gaze and their almond-shaped eyes. Please apply to adopt Brewski at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Brewski and get to know him a bit. Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on our adoption policies visit our website at www.AALOC.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.

Story
We have had Ghost (formerly known on social media as Juniper, then Frost) out of the vet for over a week now, and he is ready to start his search for his forever people! We believe that he is a border collie mix. This is what we know so far! • Approx 2–3 years old, 26 lbs (ideal weight likely closer to 23) • Confident, outgoing, and very people-oriented • Sweet, affectionate, and glued to his foster right away • Appears to be potty trained • Knows sit and is very receptive to training • Engages easily and wants to work — likely would enjoy sports such as agility, disc, or scent work • Loves frisbee, tug, and is already learning to bring toys back • Super high energy …wants to play all the time- with you and with toys • So far, pretty quiet (fingers crossed) With Other Dogs: Ghost is friendly and social but initially over-excited, which isn’t surprising after being kenneled for over a month at the shelter and vet. • Takes corrections well • No aggression noted • Not reactive in his crate when dogs pass by • Previously kenneled with other dogs at the shelter • Needs time to settle (but let’s be honest, he was in the shelter and then at the vet… he is still decompressing) Ghost is freshly neutered, microchipped, has all shots Interested parties, please email stacy@k9spirit.org Application is on our website www.k9spirit.org or Stacy can email it to you. Adoption process: Application, contact if a good fit on paper, phone interview, home safety check and meet and greet.

Story
Momo is 4 years old, and turning 5 in February. We got him from someone in our neighborhood who had a litter of puppies. He is so sweet, energetic, affectionate. incredibly smart, and a quick learner. He loves exploring, running, and playing chase and tug of war. We believe Momo would love being in any loving environment. Or better yet, a place that gives him a purpose or job even. He would be great when well-trained.

Story
Hi! My name is Calvin! I’m a 4-year old pit bull/Aussie cattle dog mix. Yes, you read that right. DNA confirmed it! I’m the perfect balance between the two breeds because I cuddle like a Pittie and have the spunk of a cattle dog. I love to play tug with my foster siblings and/or foster parents. My favorite is flirt pole, cause I love to chase! You can find me sunbathing on top of my foster mom’s inflatable hot tub when I feel like catching some rays. I also really enjoy exploring new places, and have wonderful manners when I do. After some training, I now walk really well on a leash. The cattle dog in me makes me want to herd cars, but I know some really cool commands that give me better manners when out on walks and I see the dreaded cars. I can be a little mouthy when I play, but hey, that’s the cattle dog for ya. I’m crate trained, house trained, know basic obedience commands and am just a happy fun dude looking for my forever home. A home with other dogs (preferably female and more laid back dogs) would be fun, but I’m also happy to roll solo. However, I’m not a fan of our feline friends. I’m fully vetted, neutered, current on all vaccines, microchipped and looking for my perfect forever family. If you’re interested in Calvin, please go to https://www.ocpbr.org/adoptionapplication or email us at adopt@ocpbr.org
