Momo is 4 years old, and turning 5 in February. We got him from someone in our neighborhood who had a litter of puppies. He is so sweet, energetic, affectionate. incredibly smart, and a quick learner. He loves exploring, running, and playing chase and tug of war. We believe Momo would love being in any loving environment. Or better yet, a place that gives him a purpose or job even. He would be great when well-trained.

Any large breed/working dog lovers here?! Lucky needs a forever home! Rancho Cordova, CA Please help us welcome Lucky! Lucky may not be like our usual GLAR recruits (as in tiny, and often of the chihuahua variety ) but we are so glad to help her just the same. One of our fantastic volunteers has been fostering her alone without the help of a rescue, and needs more help making sure Lucky is seen! Lucky is 7 months old, weighs approximately 30lbs, and has all the zest for life (think Buddy the Elf ). She is some sort of Border Collie mix and is beautiful! She has all the puppy energy and needs a job. (As a result, we will only consider applicants who have experience with working breeds, and those who can provide a plan to help ensure Lucky’s needs will be met.) Lucky is fully vaccinated and will be microchipped and spayed prior to adoption. She is anxiously awaiting her forever person to form that special bond. Story
We took on a puppy dog over a year ago (she’s now 25 months old) and were really looking forward to her being a wonderful addition to our pack. She’s a sweetheart with people but has failed to integrate well with our existing dogs. We have come to realize that she needs another home. The main goal is loving caring owners for her, best if as an only/solo pet without other dogs to be in competition with. Or perhaps bigger dogs established who will keep her in place of calm submission. She would be a great family dog, and could be trained to help out with farm duties. Thank you so much for considering her as a new addition to your family. We pray she would be a true blessing to you all!

Brewski’s previous owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for this sweet guy so AALOC took him in. This young Border Collie mix is very playful and loving and gets along great with other dogs. Brewski is a medium-size dog, weighing in at about 45 pounds. According to the American Kennel Club the Border Collie are amazing dogs. They are particularly energetic, athletic, and playful and are known for being workaholics. Although a Border Collie will enjoy cuddle time, it is only after they have spent their energy with walks, play and training. In the canine world, Border Collies are among the most agile, balanced, and durable breeds. They are usually very good at agility training and giving a Border Collie a job is important to their happiness. Border Collies are also known for their intense ‘herding eye’ gaze and their almond-shaped eyes. Please apply to adopt Brewski at www.AALOC.org. Trinity is amazing. I am a dog trainer. She has been advanced trained. She knows all the commands! Walks slow on leash. Has prey drive. I got her from a breeder at 8 weeks old. She will randomly go poop in the house. The stool is hard and easy to clean up! I am trying to use Miralax to see if it gets rid of this issue. This is probably an old age issue. She has no pain anywhere on her body. I have had health issues arise in the last few months and I can no longer care for her :(. I think she has a few good years left in her. She still likes to go on walks and ride in the car.
