Story
Tipsy is a petite 38 lb, 19 inch tall, approximately 7 year old BC who has endured lifelong neglect, tethered outside without love, attention, or care. Her first ever vet visit was on 3/18/24. She has been vaccinated, given flea & heartworm prevention meds, received an allergy shot, had blood/urine/fecal/skin tests, & a nail trim. Tipsy is in surprisingly good health & heartworm negative though she does have inflamed/itchy skin from chronic flea infestation requiring weekly baths & a daily mousse which the vet believes will clear up soon. She will be spayed in a few days. Despite years of neglect, she is a mellow, personable & loving dog. She gets along well with our shepherd/husky mix but no idea about cats. She has taken very well to her crate & sleeps quietly in her crate in our bedroom. She does need to work on housebreaking & leash training. There is no fee to adopt her but help is needed with her initial vet visit & spay cost.

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereIntroducing Josiah, a gentle-hearted pup with a soul as soft as his eyes. At around 1 year old, Josiah may initially seem reserved, but once he warms up, his affectionate nature shines through. With new people and durations, he may need a moment to feel comfortable. With a patient touch and some gentle encouragement, Josiah will show off his tail wags and cuddles, often offering playful gestures like gentle playbows towards his friends. Despite his initial shyness, he eagerly accepts treats and shows a mild interest in toys, hinting at his playful side just waiting to emerge. While Josiah may be cautious around new experiences, with time and positive reinforcement, he's sure to grow in confidence and trust. It's important for anyone welcoming Josiah into their home to understand his sensitivity and to provide the patience and love he needs to thrive. Josiah would love to be in a multi dog home with another social/gentle dog or into a solo dog home with doggie friends! If you're ready to offer Josiah a warm and understanding home, filled with love, patience, and plenty of treats, he'll be sure to repay you with unwavering loyalty and endless cuddles. Adopt Josiah today and open your heart to a lifetime of love and companionship!March 27, 2024, 9:03 am
