🐾 Hi there! I’m PIPER, but you can call me the Queen of Cuddles! 🐾 Once upon a time in a land called Dublin, there was a beautiful two-year-old Border Collie Mix named Piper! 😍 She had a silky-smooth black and white coat, mesmerizing amber eyes, and a smile that lit up any room she entered. She was 47lbs of pure LOVE and anyone who laid eyes on her fell under her spell. It’s no wonder why she quickly became a favorite at the shelter! With her heart of gold, sweet face, and unforgettable cuddles it was a mystery to everyone why she hadn’t yet found her happily-ever-after. 💓 Here is her tale… Piper’s favorite part of the day is anytime she can be with a volunteer pal! 😀 You may even get to see her happy dance including her signature “hug”- she’ll stand on her hind legs and give you a warm hug that can melt all your problems away. 🥰 Once she is outside, she walks very majestically on leash. The great outdoors is a magical adventure, and you’ll often catch her enjoying every sniff along the way. Piper loves to be by a hooman pal’s side! Her two greatest joys are having a human companion, and the belly rubs they give. She believes there is magic in those belly rubs because they make her feel so loved. 💘 As a thank you Piper will sit nicely and take treats very gently. She is working on more commands and is learning every day. After all, it’s in her DNA to be just as smart as she is beautiful! In between pets and cuddles, you’ll find her frolicking in the yard, checking to see if her castle is being kept safe (primarily from other dogs as she prefers them to keep their distance), and occasionally playing with a toy or chasing a squeaky ball. 🐕🏐 Piper would thrive best in a home where there are no other dogs. She dreams of being your one-and-only, soaking up all your love and returning it tenfold. After all, her heart is more than big enough to fill a home all on her own! So, what do you say? If you’re in search of a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to share her unconditional love with you, Piper is your gal! Somewhere, her fairytale ending is waiting. All that’s missing is YOU! ❣️ Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of her spay surgery is sponsored! ** Piper would do best in a home without another dog ** ## See video of Piper at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies Piper’s Shelter ID# is 87936. She is an approximately 2-year-old, black and white, Border Collie mix. She currently weighs around 47 lbs. She has been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped and is ready to go to her new home! Piper loves her people! Once she's befriended you, she wants nothing more than to give hugs and share cuddles! She is a female Border Collie mix, and is approximately two years old, and currently weighs 47 lbs. She was brought to our shelter on 10/16/25 after being found in unincorporated Livermore. She hasn't been reclaimed by her previous person, so she's now looking for a new home! She has been vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped. Piper isn't a fan of sharing her space with other dogs, but if you're a human looking for a new companion, she would love a chance at becoming your new best friend! Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). Her spay surgery will be sponsored!

Story
Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷 ♡ 🧡 Meet Ma-eum A gentle soul learning to love again Ma-eum spent his early years tied outside on a farm, living in fear. He was abused by a male owner and frightened by children who threw balls at him. Because of that, he is still afraid of men, loud playground sounds, and the sight of bouncing toys. But despite all this, Ma-eum has the gentlest heart. For the past two years, he has been living in a patient and loving foster home. He has made slow, steady progress — on his terms — and is now ready for the next chapter of his life. 🧬 Personality Ma-eum is a quiet, thoughtful boy with a soft energy. He feels safest around gentle women with warm voices, and he truly thrives in calm, peaceful homes. He may keep his distance from men indoors, but sometimes shows more courage when outdoors. He isn’t the kind of dog who will run into your arms — but with time and patience, he’ll follow you anywhere. He enjoys peaceful walks, nosework games, gentle pets, and long naps by your side. He doesn't bark much, and he waits quietly when left alone after a short adjustment. 🏡 At Home ✅ House-trained (prefers peeing on vertical surfaces — his foster can provide wall-to-floor pads) ✅ Good with calm dogs (interested and social but may growl at overly excited dogs) ✅ Neutral to cats (no strong prey drive) ✅ Tolerates children (nervous around fast movements but never aggressive) ✅ Excellent in the car ✅ Loves brushing and gentle touch 🚫 Afraid of balls and squeaky toys — he prefers games with treats instead 💛 Ma-eum is looking for… A family who will let him set the pace. Someone who doesn’t expect instant cuddles but understands how meaningful it is when a shy dog chooses to stay close. Ideally, a female adopter or a quiet household with gentle energy. 📦 Foster home can provide pee pad setup 📍 Adoption includes interview & home check 📩 If Ma-eum’s story touched your heart, we’d love to tell you more. He’s been waiting a long time for someone who sees past the fear — and into his true, beautiful heart

Story
Joey is a 3 year old black Mutt ( medium mixed breed ) the shelter told us he was a Border Collie mix small frame from his recent last vet visit : 38 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is a loving happy and healthy dog looking for his perfect forever home. He absolutely loves people and bonds deeply with his humans. Joey enjoys walks hiking and being outdoors but he is just as happy cuddling on the couch giving kisses and relaxing by your side. He has soft fur that does not shed much and is a joy to pet. Joey is fully house trained listens well to all commands like sit stay leave it come drop it paw spin off place and more. Joey is very trainable. He loves learning tricks and enjoys having structure and interaction. He can be left alone for up to 10 hours indoors without issues making him a good fit for someone with a full workday who can still give him quality time and regular walks every day. He is lives with two cats. However Joey really does not like other dogs and must be the only dog in the home. No young children. He would do best with older kids and a family or individual who enjoys daily walks and giving lots of affection. We are helping Joey's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with his current guardian.January 24, 2026, 12:25 pm

Story
Meet Kismet – A Resilient and Loving Companion Looking for Her Forever Home Kismet is a stunning 1-2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a heart as big as her beautiful personality. She also happens to be deaf, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit! This sweet girl found herself in a crowded Central Valley shelter, on the verge of giving birth. Perhaps being deaf was a small blessing in such a loud and overwhelming place—but it was still a frightening experience for her. Thankfully, Lucky Dog Rescue stepped in, and Kismet was whisked away to a loving foster home where she could safely raise her newborn puppies. Kismet was a wonderful, devoted mom, and now that all her puppies have found their forever homes, it’s finally her turn. Kismet is great with other dogs. She enjoys playing with the younger dogs in her foster home and is respectful of the senior dog. She’s housebroken, has mastered the dog door, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Like many young dogs, she can be a bit mischievous—she’s been known to chew on things she shouldn’t—but she’s learning to redirect her energy toward appropriate chew toys. On leash, Kismet walks well but can be a little cautious in new environments. She’s shy when meeting new people and needs time to warm up, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion. Once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with cuddles—yes, Kismet is a snuggler! Highly food-motivated, Kismet knows “sit” and is learning additional hand-signal commands. With continued training and love, she’ll thrive in a patient and understanding home. Are you the one who will give Kismet the forever home she deserves? If you’re interested in adopting Kismet, please complete our adoption application at 1luckydogrescue.org or email Sue, dogs@s2springer.com.
