Sophie is a sweet, gentle, and friendly Border Collie mix who also happens to be a tripod. At about 1–2 years old and 42 pounds, Sophie has a lot of love to give. Sophie’s journey hasn’t been easy. Her right front paw was caught in a coyote trap, and despite the shelter’s best efforts, the injury was so severe that her leg could not be saved. Sophie recovered beautifully from surgery and adapted remarkably well to life on three legs. Even so, she spent two long months waiting at the shelter for someone to give her a chance. Thankfully, Sophie is now enjoying life in a wonderful foster home, and she’s making the most of every day! Watching her run and play in the yard with the resident dog, you might hardly notice she’s missing a leg. She can be surprisingly fast! Although she wouldn’t be your choice for a jogging partner, she loves her daily walks to the local park, where she has made lots of human and canine friends. Sophie is also a wonderful houseguest. She’s housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and has mastered the doggie door. She enjoys playing with toys and even seems to like watching TV! Car rides are no problem, either. But Sophie’s favorite thing may be spending time with people. This affectionate girl loves everyone she meets. She’ll happily sit for pets and roll right over for a good belly rub. And when it comes to treats? Sophie is very food-motivated and takes them ever so gently. What more could you ask for? Sophie has overcome a difficult start in life and is ready for her next chapter—a loving forever home where she can be cherished for the wonderful dog she is. She may have only three legs, but she has a whole lot of heart! She is also very affectionate, friendly and playful. There is never a dull moment with Rania around. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is about 15 pounds, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes and loves to be around people as well. Rania does need lots of stimulation for her energy level, but she does have her moments were she is relaxed and just wants to spend time on the bed or couch sitting by your side. She is ready to be in a loving forever home where she will be the center of attention.

Milo is a beautiful 42 lb border collie mix. Typical for a herding type dog, Milo has a lot of energy and is very intelligent. His foster family describes him as very sweet, goofy, active, and energetic. Milo loves to play games of all kinds, and especially loves playing fetch. Milo is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is friendly with other dogs. He has not been cat tested. With his foster family, Milo does well with 2-4 hours of exercise daily. Typical for his breed type, Milo has shown some herding behaviors and can sometimes be protective of his space, his people, and his things. For these reasons, Milo would do best in a home without small children. Milo needs a family that can provide him with plenty of daily mental and physical stimulation. Herding breed experience or experience with other high drive dogs is strongly encouraged.

He’s been getting out for regular walks (and doing amazing no leash drama 👏), hopping in the car for errands, and honestly just living his best life being included. Car ride? He’s already in the back seat waiting. Errands? He’s your co-pilot. Couch time? He’s glued to you. Aster is VERY affectionate like the kind of dog that just wants to be near you all the time. He loves people, loves snuggles, and will happily soak up attention all day if you let him. He’s: ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Knows basic commands ✔️ Good on leash ✔️ Dog-friendly (plays great with other dogs!) He had a playdate with two labs and fit right in playful, social, and just a good, easy dog to have around. Also… random but important: he LOVES being groomed.
