Story
Cindy is a sweet rescue dog with lots of energy. She was found with an unrepairable injury to her right front leg. But that does not prevent her from living a normal and playful dog life. She loves attention and playing with other dogs. Her breed is a Border Collie mix. She is about 4 years old, all of her vaccines are current, and she has been spayed. We have been fostering her for about 1 year now, but our ultimate goal is to place her in a loving forever home.

Story
I'm a special and unique dog who needs a highly experienced owner with a unique home environment and set of skills.  With the right person, I have the potential to be a dream dog! I am very affectionate and super intelligent!  Because of my sensitivities and working-breed characteristics, I would not be an appropriate pet for an average person or family.  The best person for me would be someone that has training experience, preferably with working breeds. Story
LOCATION: SANCTUARY IN WILLITS, CA. Slick is an intense boy! Protector, hustler, ranch keeper.... people friendly, but will guard most likely once he establishes his pack and terrain, at least he'll alert and make someone think twice. Not a dog for the faint of heart or inexperienced. Slick is male dominant and needs a low stimulation environment to succeed in living with another dog - but with space and a female dog he can get along.... Someone who lives in a rural situation who wants a smart, quick, alert, challenging companion - Here's SLICK!! Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioral issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioral "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.

Story
Loki is a happy boy, playing with friends, running about, and giving hugs! He does better being outdoors in a fenced space, he likes most dogs after an introduction and chooses his playmates, typically other males it seems (that can be situational.) He and an old male Aussie and a young Great Pyr have a love triangle, wrestling, humping and chasing each other, they are super cute and silly, he has a strong bond to his buddies, both two-legged and four!! Loki takes his time to warm up to some, and is particular about handling and restraint, not taking it well from people he doesn't know. Loki has a healthy sense of adventure and not the best recall though when he has a runabout here at the Milo Sanctuary he comes back before long. A country life is definitely in order for him! He can be affectionate and gives great hugs. Loki has had physical and other forms of trauma in his life, Loki came to us with a badly broken tail/spinal injury, he's healed and happy guy given his own freedom of movement. He deserves a chance. A country home with adults. He is fine being a predominantly outdoor dog with a buddy. He does not like a harness. Come meet him at our sanctuary!
