Since Obsidian has been at The Milo Foundation Sanctuary he has been able to learn some manners. He still shows sighs of being shy and nervous around strangers, but once he knows he can trust you Obsidian is a sweet loving boy. He does need to learn more manners along with some structure. Obsidian needs someone who will have time to spend with him and teach him. He would so best in a home with no children. Story
Frida would do best in a home with low activity. She loves her adventures outside.. going on walks and hikes, but while in her home Frida would like it to be peaceful and low energy. She would do best with another dog in the home and no with no small children or small animals. Frida is a sweetheart, but she scares easily. A more mellow home with less traffic would help her feel safer. If you have any questions or if you would like to set up an appointment to meet Frida please call 707-459-4900.

Story
Looking for a smart, energetic, and athletic partner for life’s adventures? Meet Enzo, a stunning young Border Collie with a heart full of love and a passion for staying active. Enzo is ready to channel his high energy and intelligence into a home that matches his drive and enthusiasm. In fact, he's already been practicing at the Milo dog park agility course! He's a fast learner who has already had daily training and enrichment with a loving foster family. Even better, Enzo is not just athletic, he’s also very affectionate and wants nothing more than to bond with his person or family. Enzo would do best with a patient, breed-savvy adopter who understands the needs of a working dog. He’s looking for: • An active lifestyle - think long hikes, ranch work, or just plenty of outdoor playtime • A home free of cats and small animals • Structure and training - Enzo's brain goes a mile a minute and he’ll thrive with someone who can continue to build on his skills. He walks nicely on leash and isn't a big puller. If he gets overstimulated by his environment, he'll let you know by biting his leash, but if you stop and gain his attention, he'll stop immediately. The more he's able to work his brain and body, the more confident he'll become. If you’re ready for an incredible companion who will keep you moving and bring endless joy to your life, Enzo is waiting to meet you!

Story
Loki is a happy boy, playing with friends, running about, and giving hugs! He does better being outdoors in a fenced space, he likes most dogs after an introduction and chooses his playmates, typically other males it seems (that can be situational.) He and an old male Aussie and a young Great Pyr have a love triangle, wrestling, humping and chasing each other, they are super cute and silly, he has a strong bond to his buddies, both two-legged and four!! Loki takes his time to warm up to some, and is particular about handling and restraint, not taking it well from people he doesn't know. Loki has a healthy sense of adventure and not the best recall though when he has a runabout here at the Milo Sanctuary he comes back before long. A country life is definitely in order for him! He can be affectionate and gives great hugs. Loki has had physical and other forms of trauma in his life, Loki came to us with a badly broken tail/spinal injury, he's healed and happy guy given his own freedom of movement. He deserves a chance. A country home with adults. He is fine being a predominantly outdoor dog with a buddy. He does not like a harness. Come meet him at our sanctuary!

Story
LOCATION: SANCTUARY IN WILLITS, CA Taz is a whirling dervish of happiness! He has a very smooth coat, floppy ears, long, skinny tail, long legs. Energy and enthusiasm to spare! Fun dog for active people, he loves to go swimming or just be around water. A running companion, training, consistency and lots of exercise this boy will make a great addition to the right home. Tall fences are a good idea as well. He loves to play a game of fetch that includes swimming. We took Taz to The Cat House, where cats lounge and hide out. He was very interested in the smells, and a little curious about the few cats he saw. He was not eagerly pulling on the leash, or extremely intent on the cats. We believe he would do well in a house with cats as long as they had a well-monitored introduction period. If you would like to know more about Taz or set up appointment to meet him please call 707-459-4900.

Story
Looking for Love? Meet Myrtle! Are you ready to meet the perfect mix of shy, sweet, and sassy? Myrtle, our 1-year and 9-month-old Border Collie mix, is on the hunt for her Forever home! About Myrtle:       * A little shy at first, but give her a few days, and she’ll be your new best friend.       * A true snuggle bug! Indoors, she’ll stick to your side like glue, demanding affection and giving it in return.       * Plays wonderfully with her current canine buddies—a bouncy Labrador puppy and a gentle Great Pyrenees. She just needs time to warm up (about 5 days).       * Loves backyard zoomies and smiles while she runs! Seriously, she grins!    * Athletic and always up for a good walk, but after that, she’s all about the couch cuddles.       *Myrtle’s separation anxiety is gone! With some training and love, she’s learned to enjoy playing outside with the other dogs. She can even watch you leave without stressing—it’s a huge win for this clever girl! Myrtle’s Quirks: Not a fan of sharing toys or food (who can blame her?), so she prefers solo meals. She has a bit of a bossy streak (classic Border Collie!). She likes to tell the other dogs what to do, and if they don’t listen, she’ll give them a playful little scolding. She’ll let you know if she’s been outside too long—her bark means, “Time for love, please!” By 9:30 pm, she’s ready to clock out for the night, snuggled and snoozing. Myrtle is housebroken, affectionate, and full of personality. She’s looking for a home where patience and love are in abundance. If you’re ready for a journey from shy smiles to endless snuggles, Myrtle is ready to meet you! Let’s make Myrtle’s dream of a Forever home come true. Contact us to meet her today!

Story
Ollie is an incredibly sweet and loving dog. He is well-trained on walks (on and off leash), house trained and gentle with our kids, other dogs and our cat. He takes time to warm up to new people and we feel he would be happiest on a farm or in a suburban home without so much foot traffic and noise. I have chronic daily headache and can no longer care for him.
