FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Maui! Maui is a 3-year-old, 40 lb Border Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This beautiful girl is full of charm, heart, and classic herding dog intelligence! Maui is super sweet, loyal, playful, and affectionate. She loves being close to her people and will happily sit right at your feet or cuddle up beside you after a day of adventure. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and truly wants to be someone’s best friend. She does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around, but her favorite thing is being with her humans and included in daily life. Being an active dog, Maui is looking for a home that will give her both physical exercise and mental enrichment. She would thrive with people who enjoy hiking, running, exploring, and continuing her basic obedience and training. She’s smart, eager to engage, and happiest when she has things to do and people to do them with. Maui is ready to find a loving, active home where she can continue to blossom into an incredible adventure companion and loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, intelligent dog to share life’s adventures with, Maui might just be your perfect match! Maui is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Bosco! He is a ~4 yo, 60lb, Border Collie/Akita mix. (Our best guess to his breeds, but he could have other breeds as well!) Bosco came to us from CA, in search of his forever family. While we are still getting to know Bosco, so far, he has been is a loving and sweet boy. He has been friendly to all people he meets, and enjoys affection! He is smart and loves treats, which makes training fun and engaging. Overall, he is a happy boy that will enjoy a family that is active with him, spoils him with love, and can continue basic training to help him grow into the best dog he can be! Bosco is active and loves going for walks and being outdoors, he would make a great adventure companion! We are still getting to know Bosco’s behavior with other dogs. He has done well with some dogs (usually calmer females), but some high energy/dominant males can make him a little nervous. He will do great in a home that can continue to help him decompress, as the kennel environment can greatly affect stress and how dogs interact with other dogs. Bosco can be an escape artist, and should have a secure yard in his forever home, and while getting to know him, should not be left outdoors alone. He just wants to be with his people! Who can blame him? Bosco is UTD on shots, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Roanoke! Roanoke is the total package. This handsome 2-year-old McNab/Shepherd mix has all the qualities people hope to find in a dog—he’s affectionate, intelligent, calm, and incredibly easy to live with. Whether you’re looking for a hiking partner, a walking companion, or a cuddle buddy for quiet evenings at home, Roanoke is ready to fit seamlessly into your life. Roanoke has excellent house manners and truly seems like he’s lived in a home before. He’s fully house and crate trained, is quiet and calm indoors, and settles beautifully around the house. He also rides wonderfully in the car, making him an easy companion whether you’re running errands or heading out on your next adventure. This sweet boy is very handler-focused, attentive, and eager to please. He walks well on leash and will often sit down unprompted whenever you stop on walks, patiently waiting until you’re ready to continue. At mealtimes, he’ll wait to start eating until he’s given the “okay,” showing off his wonderful impulse control and polite manners. Roanoke has done well with other dogs, including one of his foster sisters who can be a bit spicy and bossy at times and another large male dog. He does a wonderful job of matching the energy around him, making him equally happy exploring a new trail, going for a run, tossing around one of his beloved stuffies, or curling up beside you for affection. Best of all, he loves stuffed toys and doesn’t destroy them! Roanoke is perfect for someone who doesn’t have the time to invest heavily in training. He already has an excellent foundation, is well-mannered, and is simply looking for a family to share life with! Roanoke is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Requires: -Herding breed experienced home -Large fenced yard outside the city -Another playful dog in the home her size or larger Keira is a 2 year old, 50lb Border Collie who is looking for her perfect home. She takes a while to trust, but is loyal to her people once she does. Keira is fearful of people and does not easily trust. She can be skittish and is a flight risk if not contained properly. She will build trust with her people after a period of time spent together and trust building, but she is not a ‘people’ dog with new people. She is definitely a dog's dog. She prefers to be with her dog friends and spends her days out in a play yard with 5-7 other dogs. Keira will need a home that understands and is ok with the fact she is not a super lovey dog that will want human attention all the time. Keira will do best in an adult only home that is patient in building her trust and ok with her being aloof and doing her own thing at times. She is well mannered and does great hanging out in a fenced yard with her dog friends. She is super active and loves to run around in her current large play yard with other dogs. Keira will thrive in a home with a large fenced yard outside of the city. She is not an apartment/condo/townhome dog. Keira requires at least one other dog around her size in the home, and herding breed experience. She would thrive in a more rural setting with a large fenced yard. Keira is UTD on shots, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Chad! Chad is a 5-year-old, 50 lb Australian Cattle Dog/Aussie mix (with a little Border Collie and German Shepherd in there too!) who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This handsome, fluffy boy is full of personality, has been a volunteer and staff favorite since being in our care, and is ready to find his perfect match! Chad is sweet, loving, and an absolute character. He’s goofy, silly, and full of life ~ always ready to make you smile. He loves belly rubs, will happily flop over for attention, and is a total “leaner” who enjoys being close to his people. As a working breed mix, Chad is smart, driven, and always thinking. He thrives when he has a job to do and will need a home that understands how to keep both his mind and body engaged. He loves to learn and would do great with continued training, enrichment, and an active lifestyle filled with adventures like hiking, running, and exploring. Chad came from a more rural environment and would do best in a home outside of the city, where things are less overwhelming and more in line with what he’s used to. He can become overstimulated in busy environments, which can lead to some reactivity, but he has already made great progress with structure and consistency. He can do well with other dogs but would likely do best with a female dog companion or as an only dog with continued socialization. Because of his energy and sensitivity to overstimulation, he is not a fit for homes with cats or young children. Chad will thrive with an experienced adopter who understands working or herding breeds and is committed to providing structure, leadership, and outlets for his energy and intelligence. Chad would love to find a family or person who will embrace his goofy personality, work with his brilliant mind, and give him the active, fulfilling life he craves. If you’re experienced, active, and ready for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Chad might just be your guy! Chad is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.
