Story
Hi everyone this is Chibi, he is a 2 year old cattle dog/border collie/aussie Shephard. He is looking for a new home since our current one cannot provide enough stimulation for him to give him a consistent working job throughout the day. He is a very loving dog once he warms up to you and will always be by your side whether you like it or not. We spent alot of time training him so his recall and off leash manners are pretty good. He loves a good car ride whether it's in his crate or sitting in your lap. Baths can make him abit nervous but if youre taking him camping or on a hike he will love it. Chibi would thrive in a house that has a lot of property to run around on and hopefully have other dogs to play with him yet still give him plenty of lazy down time. His best family would be a household of 1-2 people without kids.

Story
Meet Hazel   A Gentle Border Collie Looking for Her Forever Family   Hazel is a sweet, affectionate 2-year-old Border Collie with a calm personality and a heart full of love. She may not have had the easiest start in life, but she’s ready to leave her past behind and find a family to call her own.   Name: Hazel Age: 2 years Breed: Border Collie Sex: Spayed Female Weight: 20 kg (44 lbs) Height: 46 cm (18 in) at the shoulder Color: Black & White   Rescue Story Hazel is Aesop’s mother. She was found at a highway rest stop and brought to a municipal shelter in February, where it was discovered that she was pregnant. She gave birth to Aesop at the shelter, and today her puppy has safely joined her forever family in Vancouver to begin her new life. Now it’s Hazel’s turn to find the loving family she deserves.   Personality   Hazel is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, enjoys being petted, and loves the company of both men and women.   She can easily be picked up by placing an arm under her belly—but instead of being lifted, she’ll often dramatically flop onto her back for belly rubs! Even people she has just met are greeted with a trusting belly-up welcome.   With Other Dogs   Hazel is polite when meeting new dogs and enjoys saying hello, but she doesn’t have much interest in playing with them. She much prefers spending time with people.   If another dog bothers her while she’s relaxing, she’ll let them know she’d rather be left alone by shooing them away. However, she has no aggression and does not start fights. She’s simply an independent, peaceful girl.   Cats   She may curiously watch cats during walks, but she easily follows her handler without reacting. A formal cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Hazel has a low energy level and is happiest lounging nearby and relaxing with her family. She absolutely enjoys going for walks, making her an ideal companion for someone looking for a calm dog who still appreciates daily outdoor adventures.   Walking   Hazel has a mild leash pull but is easy to handle. Like many dogs, she enjoys stopping to sniff and explore her surroundings.   More About Hazel   No food guarding toward people or other dogs Rarely barks Calm and quiet in a crate Mostly potty trained for outdoor elimination   Hazel is a gentle, easygoing girl who asks for very little—just kindness, love, and a soft place to rest. After raising her puppy, it’s finally her time to be someone’s beloved companion. Could that family be yours? Story
Meet Yogi! This wonderful boy has come so far! His story is amazing and we are so proud of him. Yogi was locked in a barn for the first year of his life. He never saw the sun, never touched grass, never got to meet people or other dogs. He was very shut down when he arrived and we have spent many months working with him. Slowly but surely Yogi has come out of his shell. For the past few months he has been fostered by our trainer Melissa and Yogi has made even more leaps and bounds. This boy is so so sweet, so gentle, so kind. You can't help but fall in love with him.  Here is what his trainer/foster has to say about Yogi: Yogi (AKA The Yog-Meister, Yogurt, and Yogis) is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet! At 3yrs of age, Yogi is young and energetic, requiring a fenced yard for his daily "morning run". He loves a good game of tug, works for praise, and finds physical touch to be his preferred love language.  Yogi is as loyal as they come - he puts a lot of trust into his handler and feels the most safe around them. Having been found abandoned in a horse barn, he requires someone who will be patient in guiding him when experiencing the world beyond a horse barn stall.  Yogi will do best with someone who is physically active or can meet his mental & physical needs, including someone who may be interested in participating in dog sports such as Treibball or herding trials.  Yogi co-exists peacefully with our resident dog, a 6yr female mix with moderate energy - they will take turns chasing each other in the yard, play tug, then relax in the living room together.  Yogi has a customized training plan for his walks due to the excitement he feels when cars pass - his innate drive to chase can take over in these moments.  This dear boy will do best in a home without young children. He is still easily startled. A home with a secure yard is a must.  If you’re looking for your new best friend, Yogi would be so happy to share his love with you.  Yogi is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is sponsored by a kind supporter.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Meet Nico! This big, strong boy is the sweetest and gentlest dog you will ever meet. High energy and eager to play, he gets along well with dogs and loves to jump and run with them. He loves food and walks (Well, he loves to take you for a run, haha!) And when he sees you, he gets excited and dances with his front paws. His chubby and hairy appearance makes him so cute, with all the personality of a golden retriever/Labrador, loyal but too clumsy and curious, extroverted and with an insatiable desire to smell everything. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Maui! Maui is a 3-year-old, 40 lb Border Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This beautiful girl is full of charm, heart, and classic herding dog intelligence! Maui is super sweet, loyal, playful, and affectionate. She loves being close to her people and will happily sit right at your feet or cuddle up beside you after a day of adventure. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and truly wants to be someone’s best friend. She does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around, but her favorite thing is being with her humans and included in daily life. Being an active dog, Maui is looking for a home that will give her both physical exercise and mental enrichment. She would thrive with people who enjoy hiking, running, exploring, and continuing her basic obedience and training. She’s smart, eager to engage, and happiest when she has things to do and people to do them with. Maui is ready to find a loving, active home where she can continue to blossom into an incredible adventure companion and loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, intelligent dog to share life’s adventures with, Maui might just be your perfect match! Maui is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed.
