Hi, I’m Annie Mae! I’m a total rockstar — a social butterfly with higher energy who would happily run all day if you let me. I’m crazy smart and could easily be trained for agility, sports, or even service work. I’m potty trained, leash trained, dog friendly, and great with kids. I LOVE balls and playtime, and I thrive when I have a job or activity to keep my mind busy. If you want an energetic, intelligent, and playful companion who will keep you on your toes, I’m the one! Before coming here, I had quite the journey. I arrived with eight puppies and was severely malnourished, having clearly put everything she had into caring for her babies. The man who brought me in handled me roughly, but despite that, I have remained incredibly sweet, affectionate, and trusting. My resilience and loving nature really shine through, and I’m ready for a future where I get to be cared for just as much as I care for others. I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo! Oreo is a 3-year-old male Border Collie/Jindo mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was scheduled for euthanasia. Sadly, and for unknown reasons, before finding himself abandoned and alone at the shelter, his teeth had been deliberately ground down. Amazingly and despite this, he remains a lively, energetic, and otherwise healthy dog who is remarkably intelligent, craves human interaction, and is very loyal to his guardian. Oreo has the exceptional intelligence typical of Border Collies, fully understanding various commands such as "sit," "wait," and "house." He is also deeply loyal to his guardian and has a strong capacity for forming deep bonds typical of the Jindo breed. He is truly a remarkable dog who has the capacity to grow into an even more amazing companion through continued obedience training and by establishing a trusting relationship with his guardian. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He is also very social and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has a habit of jumping when excited, which requires caution when a person is interacting with him in a low position. With consistent training, this behavior can be corrected. Being highly energetic, Oreo possesses excellent jumping ability. At the training center, he has been known to leap over fences—not out of a desire to escape, but due to his curiosity and strong attachment to his guardian. In fact, he has demonstrated behavior where he jumps over a fence when he hears his guardian's voice outside, only to return shortly after. For this reason, families with yards should ensure proper supervision, and a high-fenced environment may be more suitable. He’s very attentive, eager to please, and impressively easy to train—he picked up kennel training in just two days. Luke is affectionate and loves to give hugs, always looking to his people for reassurance and connection. He can be timid around other dogs, likely due to past experiences as a stray; when he was found, he had bite marks and a wound on his leg, all of which have since healed. Despite everything he’s been through, Luke’s gratitude for being rescued shines through in everything he does. He’s eager to learn, eager to love, and would make a wonderful companion. Meet our miracle dog Amelia! "Airport" Amelia had been reported as a stray at SeaTac airport mid-December, from parking garages to the cargo plane area — somehow managing to survive completely uninjured in one of the busiest, most dangerous places imaginable, and despite many efforts to save her she remained on the loose. Thanks to James Branson of 3Retrievers (yes, the same James who recently helped us search for Greer!) she was saved. James had limited access at the airport and was looking for help, which fortunately, we had! Thanks to one of our adopters, we were able to put James in touch with the right people to get access to more areas, and James was able to trap Amelia. Amelia was not microchipped and had no collar or ID, so she was seen at RASKC, has been released from stray hold, and is ready for her forever home! Amelia will need a patient adopter who is willing to allow for decompression while being extremely cautious as to her being a "flight" risk (Yes, pun intended!). Amelia will be adopted with a tracking collar provided by the rescue, and will be sharing her adoption donation with James and 3Retrievers. Amelia has been Microchipped, Spayed and Vaccinated included in her adoption donation. Amelia will be adopted to a home with a secure fenced yard of at least 6' in height.

Sadie is currently at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Sadie is 2 1/2 years old (December 1) and is possibly a Border Collie/Lab mix. -Come into the local shelter in Summer 2023 as a small puppy. Transferred to our rescue on June 7th -Just went through heartworm treatment and tested negative as of December 9th! -Used to be shy and timid....now she is well socialized and loves to get all of your attention and she's not afraid to ask for it! -Energetic breed who would love a nice yard to run in and a family to love on. -35-40 pounds. -Gets along with other dogs. Would do best in a home with another dog to play with. Does like to be the "alpha" with some females (never aggressive). Panda is a very playful dog. She is the sort of dog that doesn’t let other dogs play. She is smart and eager to please. A lot of work has gone into rehabilitating her after she was abused as a puppy. She is crate trained. The reason that she has to find a home where she can be the only pet is because she doesn’t listen to boundaries that the other pets in the house lay down, and there is concern for that leading to injuries.

Since being rescued he is filling out nicely, had a dental and his hair is growing back well. He is a cutie! Gage has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is feeling soo much better. He is ready for his forever home. Approx 2years old, 36lbs. Gage is crate trained, potty trained and good with confident dogs on a case by case basis. cats not recommended since he is a herding breed. Gage loves to play fetch and would love to have a big backyard. Very trainable. Would likely do well in dog sports. He also loves a full body cuddle on the couch. Apply today to meet Gage, herding breed experience preferred but not required. All adult dogs are given a 2 week trial adoption with potential adopters. To insure its a good fit for pup and people.
