Story
Leo is the younger brother to Max (Maximus who also has a profile here on Adopt-a-pet) and I would prefer they go to a new home together. Leo needs a home where we can get a lot of exercise as he can sometimes be a little high strung. But he is very smart and very sweet and with a little more work on obedience, would be an exceptional companion. Leo is a hug frisbee fan, he will chase it all day if allowed. He and his brother also play well together. The only time he snipes at Max is if he invades his sleeping space. Fair warning he is a total bed hug and likes to steal your warm spot as soon as you leave it. But he is a big snuggler and will hug you with his body.

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Border collie enthusiasts, meet Nico💙, a stunning 3-year-old floofer boy who deserves a second chance at a happy life💞. Despite being abandoned by his family at the shelter, he demonstrated remarkable resilience and courage. As he warmed up to his new surroundings, his loving personality shone through, making him an ideal candidate for adoption. However, due to overcrowding, he was unfortunately placed on the shelter euthanasia list. Refusing to give up on him, we intervened and saved his life, knowing that he would thrive with a loving family. Nico is a sweet soul, weighing 38 pounds, a petite boy with big personality and tons of energy making him a great companion for a breed savvy family or someone’s sidekick, who truly appreciate who he is. He may have been left to his our own devices in his previous home and figured out the technique to entertain himself to fixate the herding, such as showing off his “stick technique”. Lol. We also discovered the fun boy loves chasing water when sprinklers are on, never gets tired! We recommend a family with older children. Although Nico is strong willed, he craves human attention😻, and is eager to form meaningful bonds. Nico's captivating chocolate brown eyes and black and white fluffy coat make him a true standout. This incredible boy has been neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines. He’s ready to shower his body love and affection💕 on a deserving family. He is available for foster care, adoption, or foster-to-adopt. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome Nico into your life and experience the joy of loving and being loved unconditionally. Submit your application today and get ready to fall in love with this remarkable boy!🥰 Currently residing in Southern California, Nico is eager to bring inspiration and joy to a family in northern states like Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or any other continental location, provided a suitable family is willing to open their hearts💕 and home 🏡 to him.

Story
Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Meet Nico! This big, strong boy is the sweetest and gentlest dog you will ever meet. High energy and eager to play, he gets along well with dogs and loves to jump and run with them. He loves food and walks (Well, he loves to take you for a run, haha!) And when he sees you, he gets excited and dances with his front paws. His chubby and hairy appearance makes him so cute, with all the personality of a golden retriever/Labrador, loyal but too clumsy and curious, extroverted and with an insatiable desire to smell everything. Story
Archie is a 3 year old Australian cattle dog mix. He has lots of different breeds in him. We rescued him from a shelter in California 2.5 years ago. Archie is very leash reactive towards other dogs and will need to be the only dog in a home. He has a bite record x1. My husband and I feel that Archie needs to go to a home where they can really focus on his behavior and hopefully work with a trainer to help his behavior. He has become more leash aggressive as he has gotten older and he is more resource aggressive at times. He has become too much for us to handle. Other than his behavior issues he is the sweetest cuddliest boy. He loves balls and he will thrive in a big yard where he can run around all day.

Story
Nebula, a truly beautiful dog. While her past holds some hardship – she was found living on the streets with her seven puppies – her spirit shines through. Nebula is a sweet and beautiful girl, possessing a gentle nature that will blossom with the right amount of patience and understanding. Nebula's intelligence is evident in her quick grasp of commands. She's already house-trained and crate-trained, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt. She enjoys walks immensely, exhibiting a calm and easy-going temperament. What Nebula truly desires is a loving home where she can finally feel safe and secure. While her street life has made her initially cautious around new people, once she builds trust, her playful puppy-like energy resurfaces. It's a beautiful transformation to witness. We believe Nebula would thrive in a quiet and patient home, ideally with someone experienced in working with dogs who have experienced trauma. With the right care, she'll become the most loyal and loving companion imaginable. If you're interested in learning more about Nebula and potentially offering her a loving forever home, please don't hesitate to contact us. $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.
