FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Maui! Maui is a 3-year-old, 40 lb Border Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This beautiful girl is full of charm, heart, and classic herding dog intelligence! Maui is super sweet, loyal, playful, and affectionate. She loves being close to her people and will happily sit right at your feet or cuddle up beside you after a day of adventure. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and truly wants to be someone’s best friend. She does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around, but her favorite thing is being with her humans and included in daily life. Being an active dog, Maui is looking for a home that will give her both physical exercise and mental enrichment. She would thrive with people who enjoy hiking, running, exploring, and continuing her basic obedience and training. She’s smart, eager to engage, and happiest when she has things to do and people to do them with. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Nanook! Nanook is a 6-year-old, 48 lb Border Collie/McNab who came to us from an overcrowded shelter. This handsome boy is sweet, smart, and friendly, with a balance of maturity and adventure! Nanook enjoys spending time with both people and other dogs and has a happy, affectionate personality. As a herder, he’s intelligent and eager to engage with his people, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a dog to share it with. He loves getting out for daily walks, hikes, and exploring the outdoors. Nanook is still working on his leash manners and can be a strong walker at times, especially if he spots a squirrel or bunny that catches his attention. He’ll benefit from a confident handler who can continue reinforcing good leash skills and provide him with regular exercise and mental enrichment. Having come from a more rural environment, Nanook would likely be happiest in a home outside the hustle and bustle of the city, where he can enjoy peaceful walks, open spaces, and a more relaxed pace of life. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent companion who is ready for walks, adventures, and plenty of quality time with his people, Nanook could be the perfect addition to your family. He’s ready to trade shelter life for a forever home where he can continue to thrive! Nanook is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Zydeco! Zydeco is a 1-year-old, 40 lb Border Collie/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This handsome boy is sweet, goofy, spunky, and absolutely full of energy! He’s an athletic young dog who is ready to find a family that can keep up with him and help him become the best version of himself. Zydeco is incredibly smart and can go a long way with the right training. He’s eager to learn and would thrive with someone who enjoys working with their dog and is ready to continue building his obedience, impulse control, and manners. He walks well on leash overall, although he can be strong when something exciting catches his attention—especially squirrels! He can also still be mouthy and barky when excited, so he’ll need a confident handler who understands energetic, working-type dogs and is willing to put in the time and consistency he needs. This boy is looking for an active lifestyle. Hiking, running, long walks, outdoor adventures, training sessions, and plenty of mental enrichment would all be right up Zydeco’s alley. He needs a home that will keep both his body and his brain busy and give him appropriate outlets for all that young-dog energy. Zydeco does well with other dogs and loves to play, although he can be a bit bossy with his canine friends. He would love a well-matched dog in the home who can keep up with him, provide a playmate, and help him continue developing his social skills. His future family should be committed to keeping him well-socialized and helping him learn appropriate ways to interact with the world around him. Zydeco is a lot of fun, but he is also a young, high-energy dog who will need structure, consistency, exercise, and continued training. In the right hands, we think this smart, athletic boy has tons of potential! If you’re looking for an adventure buddy who is ready to learn, explore, play, and keep you on your toes, Zydeco might just be your guy! Zydeco is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Bosco! He is a ~4 yo, 60lb, Border Collie/Akita mix. (Our best guess to his breeds, but he could have other breeds as well!) Bosco came to us from CA, in search of his forever family. While we are still getting to know Bosco, so far, he has been is a loving and sweet boy. He has been friendly to all people he meets, and enjoys affection! He is smart and loves treats, which makes training fun and engaging. Overall, he is a happy boy that will enjoy a family that is active with him, spoils him with love, and can continue basic training to help him grow into the best dog he can be! Bosco is active and loves going for walks and being outdoors, he would make a great adventure companion! We are still getting to know Bosco’s behavior with other dogs. He has done well with some dogs (usually calmer females), but some high energy/dominant males can make him a little nervous. He will do great in a home that can continue to help him decompress, as the kennel environment can greatly affect stress and how dogs interact with other dogs. Bosco can be an escape artist, and should have a secure yard in his forever home, and while getting to know him, should not be left outdoors alone. He just wants to be with his people! Who can blame him? Bosco is UTD on shots, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Requires: -Herding breed experienced home -Large fenced yard outside the city -Another playful dog in the home her size or larger Keira is a 2 year old, 50lb Border Collie who is looking for her perfect home. She takes a while to trust, but is loyal to her people once she does. Keira is fearful of people and does not easily trust. She can be skittish and is a flight risk if not contained properly. She will build trust with her people after a period of time spent together and trust building, but she is not a ‘people’ dog with new people. She is definitely a dog's dog. She prefers to be with her dog friends and spends her days out in a play yard with 5-7 other dogs. Keira will need a home that understands and is ok with the fact she is not a super lovey dog that will want human attention all the time. Keira will do best in an adult only home that is patient in building her trust and ok with her being aloof and doing her own thing at times. She is well mannered and does great hanging out in a fenced yard with her dog friends. She is super active and loves to run around in her current large play yard with other dogs. Keira will thrive in a home with a large fenced yard outside of the city. She is not an apartment/condo/townhome dog. Keira requires at least one other dog around her size in the home, and herding breed experience. She would thrive in a more rural setting with a large fenced yard. Keira is UTD on shots, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Chad! Chad is a 5-year-old, 50 lb Australian Cattle Dog/Aussie mix (with a little Border Collie and German Shepherd in there too!) who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This handsome, fluffy boy is full of personality, has been a volunteer and staff favorite since being in our care, and is ready to find his perfect match! Chad is sweet, loving, and an absolute character. He’s goofy, silly, and full of life ~ always ready to make you smile. He loves belly rubs, will happily flop over for attention, and is a total “leaner” who enjoys being close to his people. As a working breed mix, Chad is smart, driven, and always thinking. He thrives when he has a job to do and will need a home that understands how to keep both his mind and body engaged. He loves to learn and would do great with continued training, enrichment, and an active lifestyle filled with adventures like hiking, running, and exploring. Chad came from a more rural environment and would do best in a home outside of the city, where things are less overwhelming and more in line with what he’s used to. He can become overstimulated in busy environments, which can lead to some reactivity, but he has already made great progress with structure and consistency. He can do well with other dogs but would likely do best with a female dog companion or as an only dog with continued socialization. Because of his energy and sensitivity to overstimulation, he is not a fit for homes with cats or young children. Chad will thrive with an experienced adopter who understands working or herding breeds and is committed to providing structure, leadership, and outlets for his energy and intelligence. Chad would love to find a family or person who will embrace his goofy personality, work with his brilliant mind, and give him the active, fulfilling life he craves. If you’re experienced, active, and ready for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Chad might just be your guy! Chad is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

He loves food and walks (Well, he loves to take you for a run, haha!) And when he sees you, he gets excited and dances with his front paws. His chubby and hairy appearance makes him so cute, with all the personality of a golden retriever/Labrador, loyal but too clumsy and curious, extroverted and with an insatiable desire to smell everything. Story
Luna is 6 years old and is a great dog. She's extremely smart, goofy, and is a great walker on and off leash. It's been a while but she's crate trained. We're looking to rehome because despite training for the last year she has been really anxious since our toddler started crawling. She isn't happy and her living situation is not fair for her because there's nothing we can remove from the situation to improve if for her. We made the very hard decision to let her go to a family with older kids. We have another dog that is a senior, and Luna has been attached to her since we brought her home as a puppy. That said, when we've been at the dog park she's neutral with other dogs as long as they don't try to get physical with her. We haven't introduced her face to face with other dogs since we don't have other people in our lives with other dogs. She is not aggressive but she has become reactive since her anxiety started. I'm convinced once she can relax again and be happy that'll go away.

Story
Kylo is seriously the best dog ever. He’s got an amazingly chill temperament for an Aussie and is really chill. He’s great on walks and I walk him off leash most of the time. Loves outdoors, hikes, water etc. (he is pretty lazy and gets pretty pooped after like 3 miles). He’s generally great with other dogs when he meets them and has only been aggressive with other dogs around his food. (He will growl trying to protect it). We unfortunately have to rehome him because of our toddler. He just plays too rough with kids and we can’t risk him hurting her, other small kids, or future kids we will have. He tends to “heard” small kids which is his instinct, but that sometimes involves nipping at their ankles. I probably would not recommend him to anyone with young kids. Besides that he’s literally the perfect dog. We are SO sad to even be considering this but feel we have to.

This handsome young pup is as smart as he is sweet and is looking for an active family that will help him reach his incredible potential. Ty is a happy, affectionate boy who loves being with his people. He’s super cuddly, playful, and has a submissive, easygoing nature with other dogs. He’s done well with canine companions and would love another friendly dog in the home to be his playmate and adventure buddy. He could also thrive as an only dog, provided his family is committed to keeping him well-socialized and giving him plenty of opportunities to interact with the world around him. Ty is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and highly motivated to work with his handler. He loves learning new things and will do well in a home that enjoys training and keeping him mentally engaged. He would be an excellent candidate for continued obedience, agility, trick training, or any activity that allows him to use both his brain and his body. Ty is also an active young dog who will do best with a family that enjoys daily walks, hikes, adventures, and an outgoing lifestyle. He’s looking for people who will make him part of the action and continue building his confidence and skills through positive experiences. Ty has not yet been tested with cats. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and fun-loving companion who’s eager to learn and ready to be your sidekick on every adventure, Ty is ready to meet you! Ty is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
