Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Harper! She is a 2-year-old, 46lb border collie/heeler mix from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Harper is a very sweet dog who is still building her confidence. She will need a patient adopter and a quiet household to come out of her shell. Once she feels comfortable with you, she will bond deeply and wants to follow you everywhere you go. She will make a loyal companion for one lucky family. She is very gentle and takes treats softly. She is very smart and quick to learn which will be great for training. She walks well on leash and likes to stay close to her person but will need a firm grip as she is skittish to loud noises. Due to her being skittish, we are looking for a standalone home with a securely fenced yard outside of the city. Harper is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Dillon! He is a 5-year-old border collie mix who came to us as a stray from CA in search of a better life. Dillon has a good bit of energy and can be bouncy and mouthy. He is a sweet boy who loves people and takes treats gently. He will need some leash work as he loves to bite and play tug with his leash. He is an active boy who will need an active adopter who will keep him both mentally and physically stimulated. He would do best in a home without small children due to his bounciness. He does not appear to know many commands and will need some work on his overall obedience. If you love to run or hike, Dillon would be a great choice for you. Dillon is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Bentley! He is a beautiful 2-year-old Border Collie who came to us from a rural area in CA in search of a better life. Bentley can be a little on the shy side initially but once he warms up, he is an extremely sweet boy. He is a gentle, quiet boy and takes treats ever so gently. He is incredibly attentive and loyal to his person and looks to them for his cues. He knows basic commands and is a quick learner. He walks well on a leash sticking right by your side. He came from a rural area in CA and can be a little skittish with traffic and would do best in a quiet neighborhood, no city or apartment life for him. He does well with other dogs and could do fine with another dog in the home or would also love to be the only dog getting all of the love and attention. Bentley is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and will be neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $550.

Story
Freddie is the funniest, 18mo old 50lb guy! He is very active and much prefers to run and dance versus walking. He twirls when he runs and will leap back and forth in excitement when he knows a treat is coming. We are working on calming behaviors and impulse control, but he just gets so excited about being outside with his pals, it’s hard for him to settle down for at least the first 15 min of playtime. Then he’s more likely to pay attention to training games that teach more manners and commands. He appears to be a border collie / husky mix, with what else, we don’t know. His intelligence suggests this, too. Freddie would be an awesome hiking partner. After a short run, he’s also learning how to walk properly on a leash. Because of an old injury to his front foot when he was a puppy, he is not a candidate for long distance jogging or running. Walking and especially hiking would be the perfect outdoor activities instead. Freddie loves other dogs so lots of doggy play dates are a must, although he doesn’t need another dog in the home. He has not been tested with cats, so no kitties please. He loves children but he’s still learning to be polite so kids must be over 12yrs old. An active home with a fenced yard is required. He does NOT have the herding tendencies like others of his breed type. Freddie is crate trained and almost completely house trained. If he has potty breaks at least every 4-5hrs, he’s doing great with his training

Mimi is a very sweet younger female Great Pyrnese MIx. She was found on the side of the road during a thunder storm, scared and lost. She was brought to us and turned out to be a very sweet sweet girl. We searched for a owner and posted online looking for her owner but no one responsed. So we took her to our local vet and had her vaccinated, spayed, and chipped.   She loves all the other dogs and loves to play.  She is doing well on a leash.  Mimi is currently living in the Texas Hill Country and can be transported to any where in the United States and Canada.  Please inquire about Mimi or fill out our online application. Story
Meet Bada(means sea in Korean) He came to Korean city shelter, suffering from a front leg fracture. He had flies all over the leg, possibly because his wound were inflamed within the bandaged leg. After the rescue, the vet discovered that his bones were misaligned and needed to be realigned, necessitating a surgery. His bones have reattached properly and he became healthy again. Now, Bada is leaping around joyfully. 😊 * Keywords: #Gentle, #Super sociable #Lovespeople * Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 6 * Loves people so much! He is so lovely, always greeting people with a big smile. ❤ * Since he enjoys the time most of being loved, resting next to people, adopting him as a single pet would be preferable. He also enjoys his own time when needed. * Can be rough to other dogs who get too mischievous around him, so needs to watch his behavior! He got into a fight with another dog companion, whom he would sometimes go it to afterwards but his behavior got better after getting trained. *When Bada walks outside, he follows his walker without pulling on his leash! He sometimes stop moving forward if he is made to walk in places he doesn’t particularly enjoy. It will get better quickly if he gets trained under the guardianship of his future foster or forever family. *Can tolerate having ear cleaned, doesn’t make messes, and has no needless barking. *Occasionally, Bada is cautiously barking at outside noises. When his name is called, he stops. *He whimpers because he is not used to having his toenails clipped. With plenty of walking outside, his toenails need to be filed. * Has no car sickness.

Meet Jjanggu💜 He came to Korean city shelter in the hot summer in August. He appeared as if someone took good care of him but abandoned him there. Whenever people passed by, he'd ask for love with a "Please~" gesture.😢 Jjanggu is eagerly waiting for a loving, furever family so that he's never lonely again. * Separation anxiety: Can play and rest alone, tends to have a no separation anxiety. *Potty-training: Tries not to have a potty indoor by waiting and prefers 100% outside potty! * Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 8 * Affectionate towards his foster family and rely on main protector! Enjoys being loved 🥰 * Approach strangers well, but he barks when he sees someone wearing black clothes at night. * Loves dog friends! Since he play style is a bit rough, it would be nice if you could teach him how to play together 🙂 * Curious but timid. It takes time to adapt, but learns quickly! * Has an energetic personality! He always greet with a sunny smile ☺️ * Rides elevators well and waits patiently. * Rides cars well without getting car sick! He try to approach people, so he needs to be watched over. * Favorites: Doggy pals, treats, and people. 💙 Health issues : heartworm treatment completed (Will retest in June, 2024)

Story
Taylor is a handsome 2-year-old cattle dog mix who came to the Northwest after being rescued in Bakersfield, CA. He’s adjusted well and now enjoys all that indoor-living has to offer. Although he is known to somberly gaze into your soul with his big amber eyes and protruding bottom “lashes,” you have never seen a dog more joyful at mealtimes! He jumps straight up in the air, leaping forward and back, tail wagging and a big smile on his face. It would be an understatement to say he was “food motivated.” Taylor also loves walks, hikes and running through open fields and can be extremely playful when he’s in the mood. He walks pretty well on a leash, especially with a Wonder Walker. Despite being young, his exercise needs are modest, especially for a herding breed. He mostly avoids and ignores other dogs unless he feels protective. He has been known to growl and display cattle dog nipping behavior towards other dogs if he feels threatened. It seems like he had some bad experiences when living on the street and he can be reactive at times. With training, this can improve, helped along by his intelligence and love of food! Other than his outdoor time, he’s content to sleep on the sofa (and the bed if permitted) and nap in his crate. He loves snuggling with his humans towards whom he’s extremely devoted. He can be shy at first with people he does not know and does not like being petted by hands reaching over his head. But pretty soon he warms up and will curl up next to you contentedly. He loves stuffies and treat-filled toys. Taylor is crate-trained and housebroken. He’s well-behaved in the house and does not destroy things or chew. He responds well to mild verbal correction and seems to want to please. Once he feels comfortable, he can be left alone in the house and car. He’s been through an obedience class and has learned some commands including sit, down, wait, off, up. His recall is getting better all the time. Taylor would probably do best being an only dog or with another submissive dog. He is not a good fit for homes with small children as he can come barreling through at full speed with little awareness of his body in space. He can be kinda clutzy and has very mild nerve damage on his right rear leg which the vet says needs no intervention. It does make him look funny when he’s running, though. Overall, Taylor has a lot of love to give and receive. He’s been through the school of hard knocks and seems grateful for the food, shelter, kindness and love shown to him. Taylor is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Butch! He is a sweet, fun, active, 12-week-old Queensland Heeler puppy who came to us from CA with his mom and two other siblings. He is an active boy and will need an adopter who is committed to keeping him active. Since he is still a puppy, he will need a forever home that has an area to frequently take him out for potty breaks and will be committed to obedience training and everything that a puppy needs. He loves other dogs and would love to be in a home with another dog to help show him the ropes as he grows up, or a home that has other dogs in their friend/family circle for him to socialize with. We would love to see him go to a home with a fenced yard, no apartments or city life for him. He is UTD on vaccinations and will be microchipped and neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $500.
