Hi I am Buddy,I have been told that I am a beautiful dog with my long coat and big brown eyes, but they could be just joking with me!Even though I am over a year old I still like to play like a puppy. I live with a lot of dogs right now. I would love to be the leader of the pack, but I know that I need to wait my turn. I live with cats too, I like to chase them so we can play but they are not happy to do that.I learn something every day, so I am pretty good with basic commands especially if it leads to a treat. I like to walk on a leash, but I pull sometimes when I see something interesting. I am very affectionate and want to give kisses to everyone. I have not lived with kids and frankly, they kind of scare me. But toys are my thing, I love them all.I spend most of my days outside so you may need to work with me for potty breaks. Once I know where to go, I will go there every time.I haven’t been to the beach yet, but I think I would love it. Story

Phoenix is the silliest boy! This 18 mo old, 50lb boy loves to spend his days running around with his friends and twirling and dancing for treats when it’s time to come inside. He is very friendly and enjoys meeting new people so a socially active home would be ideal. He also is wonderful with dogs of all sizes so he’d love to have a playmate in the home, but it’s not required. He is an active boy so if he does not have another dog to run and wrestle with, his people will need to make sure he has plenty of activity every day. And then he’s ready to settle down and cuddle. Although Phoenix does need more training, he is a very smart boy and learns quickly. He is extremely food motivated so lots of training games will be fun. One of his front feet was injured when he was a young puppy so no concrete running for this boy. But lots of walking and hiking would be great! He is fully crate trained and with just a little more help to understand the routine, he’ll be fully house trained in no time. He must have a 5ft or higher securely fenced yard. He has not been tested with cats so no kitties please. Kids must be over 10yrs old. Kip’s favorite activities include lounging together with belly rubs (don't stop please), playing tug and frisbee at home and in the yard (he will absolutely let you win if it means you'll play another round), and showing off his impressive training skills (A+ student). Kip is a homebody at heart and prefers the comfort of familiar surroundings. He’s not a fan of trips or new places and might bark at strangers, but that just means he loves being with his family the most! He gets along well with other dogs and cats, though he might need a little time to warm up. Kip is super gentle with kids but would thrive in a calm and quiet household. Goose is an adorable 6 month old male pup who came to us from Yakima. He's a Border Collie Cattle Dog mix, so if you love the herding breeds, Goose might be the perfect pup for you. He sleeps and eats in his crate and is fully potty trained. Right now he's being fostered in a home with older dogs and doing great, even though they don't have the play energy he does. :) Goose gets very attached to his person and loves to be with that person, but goes into his crate with ease when breaks are needed. His herding instinct can come out around small humans and their quick movements, so he will probably do best in a home with teens and without cats. He is super playful and fun in a fenced back yard, and he is learning how to enjoy walks. All the big city noises take some getting used to, but with a patient, loving adopter, we have no doubt that Goose will be a great companion and family member who will love going on outdoor adventures. Welcome Houdini to CCPAL foster program. Houdini is a young male that is 5 months old. He is 50% Border Collie and the other is Terrier. He has the coat and temperament of the Border Collie. He should be 45 pounds full grown. He currently is about 25 pounds. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is attentive and knows sit, shake a paw and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. Houdini is not the most dominant of the 3 pack. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Houdini. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 600. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older.
