Story
Meet Pochi! According to his foster family, Pochi is the sweetest puppy ever. He is so affectionate and friendly and isn`t afraid to rain kisses upon everyone he meets. He`s young so he`s still discovering how the world works; for example, he doesn`t know how to use stairs yet, but he`s learning. He`s very smart and a fast learner. It only took him one day to figure out how to sit! He is in the middle of potty training and he`s getting better every day! He has been friendly with other dogs and loves to play. And he`s very friendly with people!Adopting a puppy is great fun, but puppies require a LOT of dedicated time for training and socialization, including exposure to many different situations. This means puppy classes, lots of daily exercise, playtime, attention, and ongoing training will be essential, as this dog will be energetic and playful for many years to come. Puppies can`t be left unattended for more than a couple of hours at a time in the first several months. A household or guardian who is ready to take on the challenges of housetraining, grooming, and making sure their new family member becomes a well-adjusted canine citizen is necessary. Please do some research on bringing up puppies before submitting an application for adoption.***Please also do some research into herding breeds and border collies to see if they may be the right fit for you- these beautiful and highly intelligent dogs have the need for exercise, both physical and mental!***The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. **HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal’s location. (If you cannot see the animal’s location, please view the pet’s profile through our website: https://www.seattle.gov/animal-shelter/find-an-animal/adopt)From the Dog Kennels/Kennel Group I/Kennel Group Q (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm Saturday

We encourage all prospective adopter to do their own evaluation.Hi, I'm Ozzy, a playful and energetic Border Collie/Husky mix looking for my forever home! I just turned 1 in December 2023 and am already neutered. I'd love a home where I can have a job to do, plenty of space to run, and maybe even some farm life to explore. Here's a little about me:I love to play, swim, and hang out with other dogs (the dog park is my favorite!).I'm good with cats, kids, and even a Guinea pig-though I mostly leave him alone.I'm learning to coexist with goats, sheep, horses, and chickens, but I sometimes need a little reminder not to chase the feathered ones.I'm still working on potty training, but with a consistent schedule, I'll get there!Chew toys are my best friend since I'm still learning what's okay to nibble on.Oh, and I'm a talker-so if you like chatty dogs, I'm your guy!I'm currently in Bremerton, WA, but my human Kristen is happy to travel a bit to help me meet the perfect match. If you think I might be the right fit for your family, please reach out. I can't wait to meet you! ❤️ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Age: 1yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Born on September 26, 2024. Received a couple of shots and needs one more by the previous “owner” but he never documented to me what they were. (I could probably find out). I have owned Blu for over a week. I adopted him, but with living in a condo and not being able to take care of him while I go to work, it is not a good environment for a puppy. He is a great dog who is super smart. Learns superfast. He just needs a home where he can be loved and taught how to be house trained properly. He is doing better with me but it is hard when I have to leave him by himself. It isn’t fair to him. I want someone who will love and take care of him. He truly deserves it.

Story
Sadie is currently in foster care at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Sadie is 1 1/2 to 2 years old (January 16) and is possibly a Border Collie/Lab mix. -At the shelter since Summer 2023 with no interest. -Used to be shy and timid....now she is well socialized and loves to get all of your attention and she's not afraid to ask for it! -Energetic breed who would love a nice yard to run in and a family to love on. -35 pounds. -Gets along with other dogs! -She would love someone to snuggle up with on the couch! -She can walk on a leash, but it does need some work. -She would love kids to run around the yard with! -Video of Sadie: https://youtube.com/shorts/ecTw12Lo6DU?feature=share Even though she is in video with her sister, Scarlet, they do not need to be adopted together. I did get them mixed up in the video; Sadie is all black on face, Scarlet has white on nose. Sadie is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test (January 14th), and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $550 total, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost.
