Luke is a gentle, loving boy with a calm and quiet nature. He enjoys playing catch and is perfectly content entertaining himself with a ball. He’s very attentive, eager to please, and impressively easy to train—he picked up kennel training in just two days. Luke is affectionate and loves to give hugs, always looking to his people for reassurance and connection. He can be timid around other dogs, likely due to past experiences as a stray; when he was found, he had bite marks and a wound on his leg, all of which have since healed. Despite everything he’s been through, Luke’s gratitude for being rescued shines through in everything he does. He’s eager to learn, eager to love, and would make a wonderful companion. Luke does well with cats and children and is ready to find a safe, patient home where he can truly thrive. 💛

Nymera is about 1 year old, weighs 30 pounds, and is a Border Collie mix with a heart as big as her smile. She’s affectionate, intelligent, and social — she loves everyone she meets and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Meet Cici! 💛 This beautiful girl has already been through far more than any dog should. When her former owner was seen kicking her, some kind strangers stepped in to save her. They cared for her the best they could, but after being evicted, they reached out for help—and that’s how sweet Cici landed with us. After everything she’s been through, Cici can be a little unsure at first, but she doesn’t have a single mean bone in her body. Once she realizes you’re safe, she melts into the sweetest, most loving companion. She truly blossoms with kindness and gentle reassurance. Cici is about 2 years old, weighs 25 pounds, and looks like a darling border collie/terrier mix. She’s ready for a home where she’ll finally know what it feels like to be cherished. Animal Profile: Buddy is a 4.5-year-old Doodle (1/2 Border Collie 1/2 Standard Poodle). He was purchased from a breeder prior to his owners having children. Buddy is a friendly but slightly anxious guy who has not adjusted well to having a toddler in the home. His family invested in a 4-week board and train with a local dog trainer in hopes that it would help Buddy feel more comfortable around small toddlers. Buddy completed his training; he has excellent house and leash manners, is house trained, crate trained; and knows the ‘place’ command. Unfortunately he was still too uncomfortable around the kids after training, and his family decided it was best to find him a new home. Buddy has been trained using balanced methods, including e collar for off leash reliability. Buddy does great at doggy daycare, but does have some resource guarding around food and select toys when it comes to other dogs. While he enjoys his dog friends, we think he’d be happiest as an only dog. Buddy has not lived with cats. Buddy is currently in foster care with a balanced trainer, and doing well. Foster Update: coming soon! Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations,  DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Application Review - 12/29/2025 Animal Profile: Bindi is a 11 week old Poodle/Border Collie X (best guess) who will be joining us on Monday 12/15/2025 and is eagerly awaiting her freedom ride to the Pacific Northwest. She is ready to steal hearts, spread joy and find the forever family she deserves. She is great with the 2 big dogs and children in her foster home in Texas . We will post more about here as we get to know her.  Foster Update: Bindi  is the cutest puppy!  She’s also happy, confident, and sweet.  She’s demonstrating excellent house training skills for her age and is reasonably good settling in her crate at night. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is happy to share her toys or food. And she quickly learned how to Sit, Spin, and navigate stairs  What’s not to love?  If you’re looking for a lazy pup, that isn’t Bindhi. She likes to play hard and then crash for a little while… and then resume. It helps if she has cooperative playmates, or some toys and human attention.  A fenced yard is also helpful. She is smart and surprisingly comfortable exploring new things and places.  As she grows up, she’ll need training, exercise, and engagement activities. But if you’re looking for a sweet, adorable, fun pup that will grow into an active mid-sized family member, Bindhi could be a great candidate. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... I am cute, a little chunky and a little silly at times. But i am SERIOUSLY looking for that home. So if you like a chonky diva, I am yours!!!
