Story
The Corgis have a new fluffy friend who could be your knight in shining armor! Buddy is 25 lbs of pure joy. At about 4-5 months old, he uses the doggie door and is house trained. He is a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly when he knows there are cookies. He’s a sweet, curious and well behaved puppy. He’s doing well on the leash and comes when called and rewarded. Buddy has not been tested with cats or kids, but a respectful older child should be fine as well as a dog savvy cat. We do anticipate Buddy to be on the bigger side as an adult dog so a fenced in yard is preferred. Buddy’s dna results say he’s Boxer mixed with Australian Shepherd and Border Collie.  If you’re interested in meeting Buddy the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Buddy’s adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.April 29, 2024, 11:29 am

Story
Looking for a super sweet smart girl who loves all the people she meets? That’s Nixie! 5 years old, good with kids, mellow in the house, and pre-loaded with commands like sit, lay down, shake, and roll over - this sweet girl is eager to learn! We think she may have been a working dog, since she loves to help in the yard, but hasn’t fully learned how to walk on a leash. She gets so excited to go for walks she can’t contain herself! She is definitely the top dog, and prefers pup friends who will let her be the boss. Nixie’s ideal home will have outdoor space for her to chase squirrels and play her favorite game of fetch. An active owner who doesn’t mind some leash training would be great. Nixie has all the makings of an exceptional companion. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
Hi, I'm Mina! I'm an 9-year-old pit bull mix, weighing in at 50 lbs. I'm pretty mellow and love (I mean LOVE) sunbathing. I have lived with kids and am very friendly with people, but prefer to be your only pet as I am not too sure about other dogs. I know how to use the dog door, love to be outside, and love to bury myself under the blankets. I know sit, shake, wait and down. I can be left alone, uncrated, without getting into any mischief. I take treats gently and sleep through the night. I think toys are kinda cool, but haven't quite figured out how to play with them yet. I'm very cuddly and can't wait to find a fur-ever home!   ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
Hi, my name is Rockwell! I am a 5 year old Lab/Boxer mix. Whew! Glad I got that introduction out of the way. I can be a bit shy when introducing myself, but I always make fast friends with nice people. Any chance you're a nice person looking for a new best friend? Bonus points if you're a shy, nice person. We could bond over our similarities! We could also bond over one of the best things known to dog-kind... belly rubs! Fun fact: belly rubs are great for the dog (of course!) but also boost the mood of the human giving them. What a miracle! I'm a smart boy, so I make a point of knowing these kinds of things. Speaking of being smart, I love keeping my brain busy by playing puzzles and learning new tricks. I'm also smart enough to have great house manners which, naturally, means I am potty trained. In addition to mental exercise, I love to stay fit by running and rolling (you might think of it as "ROCKing and rolling!) around the yard, going for walks (I love walks!) and playing with my personal favorite invention of all time, tennis balls!    One of my favorite things (aside from those amazing belly rubs) is cuddling. Since summer is almost over in Colorado, wouldn't it be great to have a snuggle buddy during the upcoming cold weather months? I've been told I'm a fantastic cuddler- you could even call me a cuddle bug! More than anything, I'm an overall great companion and absolutely adore being with my people. When I'm not cuddling with my people or playing brain games, you can often find me relaxing in my crate. Car rides are a blast for me, so if you enjoy the open roads, we'd make a great pair! Please apply to meet me at hobocare.org! Story
Hi, I'm Elsa!  I'm an 8 year old boxer girl that would love the opportunity to win you over. I can be a little shy on first meeting, but I quickly overcome my shyness and will be putty in your hands! I love spending time with my humans and can't wait to find a family of my own. I'm a very good girl - am potty trained, crate trained, and know LOTS of obedience cues! I always come when called, know sit, down, shake, crate, cookie, and more! I walk well on leash and while I prefer to be the only dog in the home, I don't make a fuss when passing dogs out on a walk. I'm a quiet companion and rarely bark or get overly excited. I do love to play and stuffed toys are my very favorite to play with. I'm good at knowing which toys are mine and don't ever chew on furniture or shoes. I've lived with kids and enjoy their company too!  ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Story
I’m Frito, a 2 year old male Boxer.  I am quite playful and a touch goofy, can be vocal when wired/tired, like going for car rides but sometimes reactive, potty trained, a good walker tho new things (noises mostly) can startle me, strong prey drive, can take a bit to warm up to strangers, and love treat dispensing toys. I may do best in a quiet home with no kids.  ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN**********If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
