Hi. Um. Hello. It’s me. Cruz. Okay don’t panic. I know I’m a big guy. Like… very big. But inside? I’m approximately 73% marshmallow and 27%… actually, scratch that. The noodle is retiring. I’ve been working on myself.See, I’ve recently upgraded to this thing called “foster life,” and let me tell you… I am THRIVING. Turns out when I’m in a cozy home and not the hustle and bustle of shelter life, I don’t feel nervous at all. I settled in super fast, like I’ve been there forever. Even when I was at the shelter, I was already getting braver every day… but in a home? Oh buddy. Full Cruz Mode™ has entered the chat and it is here to stay.And guess what Full Cruz Mode™ includes? PLAY. I love to play. I love going for walks, I love going on hikes, I love doing activities where I can stretch these long, majestic legs and pretend I’m a young athlete again. Yes, yes, I may technically be a “senior,” but I would like to formally dispute that label. I have spunk. I have zest. I have “let’s go on another walk” energy. There is so much life left in this big ol’ body.When I’m not out exploring the world, I am… how do I put this… completely and utterly obsessed with my person. I follow my foster mom everywhere like a very large, very devoted shadow. Bathroom? I’m there. Kitchen? Obviously. Sitting down for five seconds? Perfect, I’ll just gently (read: heavily) lean into you. I even share her bed at night, because personal space is more of a suggestion, really. I am a cuddler. A snuggler. A professional lover boy.I’m still the same sweet, soulful gentleman at heart. I just needed the right environment to show it. Especially an environment without young, loud children (they really spook me the most!) I’d love a home that enjoys getting out for walks or hikes, but also appreciates a good couch cuddle session after. Someone who wants a loyal sidekick, a gentle shadow, a big goofy best friend who will love them with his whole entire being.So if you’re looking for a dog who has blossomed into the perfect mix of adventure buddy and cuddle bug… hi. Yes. That’s me. I’m Cruz. I will be visiting PetSmart Dougall on Thursday March 26th, come meet me!
