Story
If you love outdoor adventures Wallace is the dog for you. This 2–3-year-old Boxer/Hound sweetheart is an active boy– he loves hiking on the trails, running in the snow, splashing in the water – it’s all good with him. He walks well on leash, and actually loves to lead the way, which is really sweet. Oh, and he loves riding in the car, especially if its for a pup cup! At 77 pounds Wallace is a big guy but is as gentle and affectionate as could be. He is very intelligent, a good learner and has a strong desire to please his people. He loves to play but also settles down easily. And while he sleeps through the night on his bed, he would always prefer to share yours if given the chance. Wallace is currently in foster, where he is doing great, but he is waiting eagerly to find his forever home. He is looking for an experienced owner to guide him and be his best friend. He would do best in a home with adults or older kids who can manage his size and energy, and while he plays well with other dogs, should be the only dog in the home. Also on his wish list... a yard where he can explore and stretch his legs! In return for all of that he promises to give back with loads of love and lots of loyalty. Kindhearted Wallace just can't wait to find that forever family who will appreciate how truly special he is! Could it be you? Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Hi there! I’m Willa! I’m looking for a home of my own in time for the holidays! I’m a sweet and playful 3-4-year-old boxer mix, weighing in at a lovable 60 pounds.  I’m super, super friendly, and I love playing with other dogs, but would probably do best in a home as the only pup. I was patiently waiting at a shelter in Tennessee, but it’s gotten crowded because of all the dogs displaced by Hurricane Helene. I came in a stray, and nobody has come for me, so now I'm thrilled that I was lucky enough to come to NJ and find you! I am currently living with a foster family with older kids and I love them, but its not a forever kind of thing and I'm still on the hunt for my fur-ever. I'm looking for a very patient and low energy quiet home, as I can sometime get anxious (especially when being outside with new and loud noises - I'm still learning the ropes!) I'd also thrive in a home with a yard to run free in but prefer to hang inside mostly. I recently learned how fun toys and balls can be. And then there's the nightly couch cuddle I can't resist. I do great in the crate when my family is not home and at night. I also know some basic manners like sit, paw and leave it. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a new best friend, please consider adopting me. When you bring me home, you’ll also make space for other dogs who are still waiting for help. You can apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application. I can’t wait to meet you! Let’s make room for more friends in need.If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! U.S. shelter and adoption estimates 2012 3,500—Number of animal shelters •  6-8 million—Number of cats and dogs entering shelters each year 25 percent—Percentage of purebred dogs in shelters •  3-4 million—Number cats and dogs adopted from shelters each year 2.7 million—Number of adoptable cats and dogs euthanized in shelters each year 25% of dogs in shelters are pure bred - that's 1 in 4! Story
*Name: Brady *Age: 3 years old *Current Weight: 60 lbs. *Adoption fee: $475  Meet Brady — Our Lovable Hot Mess Turned Miracle Potato! Brady is living proof that love (and a few good meals) can work absolute miracles. When we first rescued him, he was literally moments from death — skin and bones, too weak to stand, with a sparkle in his eyes that refused to fade. Fast forward, and today he’s a plump little potato who has fully embraced life, love, and the art of mischief! At about 3 years old, Brady has the perfect mix of goofy puppy energy and sweet old-soul charm. He’s a stocky, solid boy who lays like a frog, loves everyone he meets, and proudly holds the title of Counter Surfing for Carbs Champion of the Year. He’s the kind of dog who can make you laugh one minute and melt your heart the next. Brady adores cuddles, belly rubs, and kisses — lots and lots of kisses. He wants to be near his people, whether that means lounging on the couch, keeping you company in the kitchen (especially if snacks are involved), or rolling over for attention. He’s silly, affectionate, and just the right amount of ridiculous. After everything he’s been through, Brady deserves the best — a forever home that will cherish him, laugh at his antics, and keep the treat jar well-stocked. He’s social, loving, and ready to make every day brighter for the lucky family who welcomes him home. If you’re looking for a big-hearted boy who’s equal parts snuggler and comedian, Brady’s your guy. From starving to thriving, he’s a reminder that sometimes the “hot messes” are the ones who bring the most joy.
