Sadie looks to be a boxer mix who was found tied up outside in Texas. She was brought to the local shelter and is currently staying in an outdoor kennel. She suffered from a bad skin infection and once we saw pictures of her, we arranged for her to be taken to a vet to try to provide some relief. After a month of treatments we are happy to say that her skin is healthy now, and her fur has fully grown back and looks wonderful! Unfortunately this poor girl is still in the shelter as we have no available fosters in TX that can take her in. We will continue trying to find her a temporary foster home, but better yet, we are hoping to find her a forever home in the NJ area. Sadie is estimated to be 18 months old and she weighs 40 pounds. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. If adopted, she will be brought to the NJ area on our next transport. Personality: very friendly and happy girl Good with: people, and dogs. Has not been young child or cat tested yet. Our veterinary partner estimates that Spanky is 8 years old at the time of intake in April 2022. Spanky's life was on hold while he languished in a kill shelter with a large tumor on his back. As soon as we found out about Spanky, we pulled him out and sent him to our veterinary partner where the tumor was removed. He is doing great now with his foster and is ready for a forever home! Spanky is good with people and other dogs. He is very sweet, loving, and alert. He loves peanut butter, toys, and spending time in the sun. He takes a toy to bed with him each night. He also enjoys running around the yard. This boy is super sweet and friendly, and his tail never stops wagging! He deserves to live the rest of his life in a happy, loving home. June will need a home with no children or other pets. She has had 2 incidents with other dogs. June is a very affectionate and playful dog. She loves every human she meets and her favorite spot is on a lap or cuddling with her favorite people. June loves walks and requires a medium amount of exercise/enrichment each day, but will spend the rest of her time relaxing on the couch. She is food motivated and ahs worked with a trainer on most basic commands. Some of her other favorite activities include playing tug, fetch, laying under blankets, and following her humans around the house. June has worked with a trainer on leash walking and is generally well behaved, though she will pull occasionally when excited. June has lived in an apartment setting for two years so she does not require a yard. However, if there is a yard available it should be fenced in. June should not be off leash outside unless she is in a fenced in area given that she is very curious/will explore and is still working on her recall. She is crate trained and very comfortable staying in her crate, though in new places she might have an adjustment period.
