Story
Luci here bashfully telling you a bit about myself. I am a bit shy to start with, but once I realize that all you want to do is love me and you will be patient about it, then I'll be thrilled to purr non-stop and ask you to pet my non-stop! I love to play with stick toys and will do majestic flips while trying to get the stick. This is also because I am fascinated by ballet videos as I pick up pointers from those dancers.Like nearly all kittens, I have my oddities. For example, you can play with my right toes, but not my left ones. If you do, I'll gently remind you that is not allowed. Also, I am very insistent that I keep all paws on the ground, unless I am doing some of those aforementioned majestic flips. For you, this means no picking me up!It would be super nice if my sister, Polly and I can be adopted together. Polly is the braver one and she will quickly show me that all is good as I follow her lead. Ready to adopt both of us? Please fill out the application form and we'll set up a date to meet. Story
Hello, I am Hershey, a sweet and adorable eight-year-old black and white tuxedo DSH girl. I received my name after the Hershey candy bar can you believe that! I was adopted from AWLMC a few years ago and settled right in and life was very good. Unfortunately, my owner became very ill and was unable to care for me so I came back to AWLMC. I am a shy cat who runs when there are loud noises! I will admit little kids scare me as they want to chase me. I love playing with feather toys and toys that move across the floor especially the laser light toy. I am a bit shy when meeting new people and will hide for a while until I am more comfortable. When I am feeling safe, I follow you around, sit next to you and on your lap. If permitted I would love to join you at the dinner table. I love being up high (wait until you see me jump!), and looking out the window from my cat tree (I have one ready to go with me), observing life outside, the birds and squirrels or just curling up in the sun light for a nice cat nap. One of my favorite spots in the house will be the carboard scratching board. I love to scratch it and then lay down for a nap on it. I am also intensely curious about open doors you never know what is inside unless you check it out right? And boxes are another ting of interest. If you want to give me a gentle chin to tail massage, I am your girl. I have the tiniest meow so listen up! I like to sit with you, sleep with you, occupy your lap? Please come see me. You will not be disappointed. I want to go home with you. Please visit our website www.awlmc.org to learn more about this amazing cat and to see other available cats.

Story
Minnie is a Solid Gray 8 YO DSH. Minnie is short for Minerva, the Harry Potter Professor Minerva McGonagll who when she turned herself into a cat they look identical - thus Minnie! She is described and is a beautiful solid gray kitty who is very gentle and forms deep bonds with her humans. Minnie may be a bit shy at first as she sizes up the situation and becomes comfortable. She is very playful when she opens up and is happiest in a calm, predictable home. Minnie would love a single family with possibly older children who can respect her space. Minnie has been known to beat you to your bed at night and loves to cuddle up on our lap and purr her heart out as you are watching TV or trying towork on your computer. Minnie does on occasion get the ZOOMIES and you will know because she is very loud as she zooms around the house! Yes it is true she is missing her front claws, but that was because of an infection. Minnie uses the litter box without fail and does like a good scratching post.  Please visit our website www.awlmc.org to learn more about this amazing cat and to see other available cats.

Story
Hi there, Im Luckysometimes. Other times my luck seems to run out, but I like my name and Im hoping to get lucky again soon. My first family gave me my name because they felt lucky after buying their dream house and then finding a cute little gray tabby girl kitten (me) hiding under the deck! Unfortunately the three little kids in that house were just too loud and scary, so I spent a lot of time hiding from them. No fun for anybody! My second family included a cat that I just could not get along with, so once again Im at AWLMC, waiting for my third try.Now that Im a year and a half old, Im still as cute as everand affectionate and playful and an all-round great cat! I love hanging out with adult humans. Ill rub against your legs, and when you sit down Ill be right there beside you. Sometimes Ill even climb onto your chest for maximum snuggling, and youre welcome to pick me up. You can entertain us both with ribbons or any kind of toy, or if were in the mood for an adventure, you can take me for a short walk on a leash. (So far my walks have just been in the back yard.) I need a home with no small children or other animals; if you focus all your attention on me, Ill do my best to keep you feeling loved and entertained. My paws are crossed, and Im hoping my third home will be the charm. Do you feel lucky? Lets roll the dice and see if weve got a winning combination!  Please visit our website www.awlmc.org to learn more about this amazing cat and to see other available cats.

Story
"Night" in Latin is Noxis thats me! Nox for short -- black like the night sky, except for a white spot on my chest. I was adopted as a kitten and so happy until the human babies came along. Lets just say this 8-year-old boy does not care for little kids. I tolerated the first baby when I was four. But when the second came along a few months ago, it was just too much for me and I showed that I was unhappy. However, I have been the perfect gentleman cat in my foster home which has no children! My foster mom said I am a lively, intelligent, companionable kitty! This is what I hope to find in my new home. First, I love attention, petting and talking with you. If I feel you are ignoring me I will either meow, nudge, or softly tap you with my paw. Windows with a view are an absolute must for my sunbathing and bird watching. While I am not crazy about being picked up and carried around, I love to take naps on your lap. My mom said to warn you that I like to tear and chew on tape, especially shipping tape when attached to a box. So, youll have to keep those out of my reach, or I will swallow the tape! Other than sticky tape, my favorite toys include feathers on a wand, anything with catnip in it, and my treat maze. Well, how about it? Come by so I can try out your lap for napping!
