Story
She’s the kind of cat who believes life is best enjoyed slowly. Long naps in quiet corners, soft blankets, and the occasional stretch in a sunbeam-those are her favorite things. Treats are, of course, a close second, and she’ll happily remind you when it’s time for one. She’s a sensitive soul who prefers calm, predictable environments. Too much noise or sudden activity can make her uneasy, and she’s not comfortable around dogs or young children. New people and constant unexpected visitors can also be overwhelming for her, so she’s looking for a home where things stay peaceful and consistent. What she truly needs is a place where she can be the center of attention- a household with someone patient and understanding, who will give her the time and space to feel safe. In the right environment, she’ll settle in beautifully and show her gentle, loving nature in her own quiet way.If you’re someone who appreciates a calm companion and can offer a stable, low-activity home, she could be the one.

Story
Simcha's owner passed unexpectedly, and he and a second cat needed a new home on short notice. We've homed him for about six months now and are very fond of him, but ultimately he's too expensive for us (I was laid off a year ago now; any cat would be a lot, but he's a senior cat with a couple medications). He also doesn't quite get along with the other younger cat, which can be stressful. He's a real sweetheart, spends most of his days curling up and following sunbeams, though he does like to bother someone for some brushing once in a while. He's a little rickety and seemed quite nervous and solitary when he first moved in, but he's warmed up considerably since we've gotten to know him, especially since we got him to a vet and started managing his arthritis (I don't think he had great care in his previous home). We love him, but it's difficult to fit him into our lives right now, and we'd love to find him a home where he fits perfectly.

Story
UPDATE FROM FOSTER “Grey is starting to settle in at his foster home. Sometimes he sends mixed signals by hissing when someone first enters the room, but he loves being pet. He’s becoming braver, going up to his foster mom and headbutting and rubbing his cheeks against her to ask for pets! He then purrs up a storm. He also enjoys playing with a wand toy from time to time.” Grey – Available for Adoption Grey is a 9-year-old male grey & white cat that prefers to be your one & only. He is very shy, but often comes out when people he is familiar with walk in the room - though doesn’t like to be approached quickly. He likes to be pet, can be picked up (to be moved, not held standing up - though he’ll sit next to people, and occasionally on a lap). He is food motivated, loves cat nip and is very interested in feather toys - though not ones that make noise. Grey along with his sibling Sweet Pea (who neither want to live with each other) were rescued by a good Samaritan after they ran out of a dumpster that was recently delivered to her Quincy home from Chelsea for a construction job. The pair along with a third feral kitten were trapped and vetted by BFF in 2016 and returned to the finder. Due to her recent passing, the pair are now looking for a new home (the 3rd cat is staying with the finder’s daughter.) Grey is approximately 9 years old, neutered and negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in meeting him, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org
