Story
12-11-25 Maggy is a cute, chubby spayed female who had a life for years with a family who decided to up and throw her out. She was taken in by a veterinarian on the island they live on, and she became one of his favorites! She is spayed, up to date on shots and tested for diseases and parasites. She was thought to be 4-5 years old but upon examination by my vet here, looking at her teeth, he presumes her to be not over 3 years old. Maggy is lovely and sweet, wants a lap to lay on and purr and purr. We think she'd make a great only cat for an older person in a quiet setting. PLEASE EMAIL US FOR AN APPLICATION~!

Story
Lucy – Available for Adoption Lucy was one of Joni’s cats. BFF needs to find purr’fect homes for all of Joni’s cats. She was named after one of Joni’s best friends. Lucy is a quiet cat that keeps to herself. In Joni’s words from 2024: “Black cats are awesome but I never had a desire for owning one. Of course doing rescue I've had many black cats and kittens. Love them all but my favorite has always been orange or tabbies. Well at night I sleep with 2 black cats on my bed and one on my bedside table that wants to get on the bed. How the hell did this happen? This is my Lucy Lu. Named after a very wonderful friend of mine who was frightened to death of cats. She too was black and beautiful. She passed away a few years ago about the time I rescued Lucy as a feral kitten and after socializing I couldn't let her go. My friend Lucy would be so proud to know I named my beauty after her. Lucy gets along well with everyone. She doesn't like to be picked up. Only bothers me at night when she flops her big ass self on top of me in bed demanding I pet her. Since Jojo has been gone, she loved Jojo, she at night in bed with us would groom him. Now she has become my new stalker. Nowhere as bad as my Jojo but she now craves more attention. Took over his spot on the table swatting my backside as I'm at the sink. I love this gorgeous black cat. Always have. I sometimes walk around house singing Lucy Lu I love you.” Lucy is approximately 6 years old, spayed, negative for FeLV and FIV and will be up-to-date on her vaccinations. Story
Grey – Available for Adoption Grey is a 9-year-old male grey & white cat that prefers to be your one & only. He is very shy, but often comes out when people he is familiar with walk in the room - though doesn’t like to be approached quickly. He likes to be pet, can be picked up (to be moved, not held standing up - though he’ll sit next to people, and occasionally on a lap). He is food motivated, loves cat nip and is very interested in feather toys - though not ones that make noise. Grey along with his sibling Sweet Pea (who neither want to live with each other) were rescued by a good Samaritan after they ran out of a dumpster that was recently delivered to her Quincy home from Chelsea for a construction job. The pair along with a third feral kitten were trapped and vetted by BFF in 2016 and returned to the finder. Due to her recent passing, the pair are now looking for a new home (the 3rd cat is staying with the finder’s daughter.) Grey is approximately 9 years old, neutered and negative for FeLV and FIV. Story
Oakley & Splinter – Soon to Be Available for Adoption Oakley and Splinter are two sisters from different misters. They were found together in a lumberyard, giving them their wood-inspired names, which also make them sound like 90’s skater girls. The two keep each other endlessly entertained by staging dramatic play battles. They can often be found cuddling, too. Oakley is about one month younger than Splinter. She’s a gray tuxedo who is as sweet as can be. Oakley loves curling up into a perfect circle on soft blankets, playing with her wand toy and ball tower, and purring like a monster truck at the mere mention of food. She’d do anything for a Klondike bar—sorry, a Churu—including climb into your lap and push her sister out of the way, paw straight to the face. Oakley is shy but starting to warm up to her foster parents. She rubs on their legs when it’s time for food, and she spends most afternoons sleeping atop a futon while her foster mom works. She very happily accepts pets and scritches if they’re accompanied by a treat. Splinter is a tabby with a white chest and face, with adorable freckles on her cheeks. She came to her foster home a little spicy but has since mellowed out quite a lot, although she’s more timid than her sister is. Her preferred method of communication is hissing: that’s how she tells you that you’re in her space, you startled her, or you are NOT being fast enough with the food, dang it! Splinter loves a Churu, playtime with her wand toy and her spring, pouncing on digital rats, and hiding out in blanket forts she makes herself. Oakley (approximately 3.5 months old) & Splinter (approximately 5 months old) are scheduled to be fixed and vetted. If you are interested in meeting them, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org
