🍳🥞 Meet Denny’s & Frisch’s! 🐾Two amazing pups named after restaurant icons that most of us grew up with and loved—and we think these two will provide that same kind of warmth, comfort, and happiness! ❤️Denny’s (female) and Frisch’s (male) came to us through our Pawsitive Planned Parenthood Program, which helps prevent unwanted litters by getting mom spayed. And yes—Mom is getting spayed! 🎉We were told these adorable little guys are a mix of Chihuahua, Dachshund, and Rat Terrier, and at around 9 weeks old, they’re currently just 5–6 pounds. They are:🐾 Fun🐾 Playful🐾 A little yappy🐾 Absolutely ADORABLEThese boys are still young enough to have plenty of puppy mischief ahead of them, so their new families should be ready for all the fun (and occasional chaos!) that comes with puppyhood.Denny’s and Frisch’s can leave with their families on a foster-to-adopt agreement until their spay/neuter appointments on September 11.🚨 The September 11 surgery date is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adopters must commit to having their puppy altered on this date.Adoption Fee: $300Their adoption fee includes:✔️ Spay/neuter✔️ Age-appropriate vaccines✔️ Flea & tick preventative✔️ Dewormer✔️ Microchip🐶 Our dog adoption process is simple: First come, first meet, first adopt! No applications or appointments are required.Come meet Denny’s and Frisch’s and see if one of these little restaurant icons is the perfect addition to your family! ❤️🐾🕛 **Hours:**Monday-Thursday: 12 PM – 7 PMFriday: 12 PM - 5 PMSaturday: 11 AM – 3 PMPlease arrive at least 30 minutes before closing to allow enough time to complete the adoption process. 💕We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. Hi, I'm Shirley and I'm an older lady looking for a comfy place to call home! I have a brother, Cooper, who I am bonded to--meaning I need to go home with him. He's my favorite thing in the whole world. We don't have too much energy and love just lounging around together. I know how to sit and will stand for a treat! If we sound like a perfect pair for you, come to SICSA and meet us for yourself! This pet is available through SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center, located at 8172 Washington Church Road, Washington Township, OH 45458. We are open Monday through Saturday from 12pm-7pm. Story
Do you want a small dog companion but NOT a lap dog? Do you want a dog who will run from you rather than towards you? Do you want a dog who prefers the company of other dogs over you? Well then I have got the perfect dog for you!! Please give a warm welcome to Clementine! In all seriousness, she is an adorable little girl. Clementine came to Hart in June 2021 and has been in the same foster home ever since. She with so many others was rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee. To this day, she still exhibits nervousness around people. For this reason, she is looking for a very special adopter. The adopter will need to be very patient with her and give her ample time to show her brand of affection. While she still runs from me if I try to approach her to pet her, she does make her way over to me at bedtime for lovings. She will even sleep in bed with me and give me some sweet kisses. But when it’s time to get up, she darts away again. I truly can’t explain it but I have learned to accept it. Clementine does great with her doggy friends. She is most comfortable with other dogs. The ideal adopter will have another dog in the home that will groom and “mother” her. She loves having a dog around that she can curl up with!! Also, since she is hard to catch, a fenced in yard would be best for her. Due to the fact that Clementine can be a challenge to catch and she does not come when called, any meet/greets will have to be done at the adopter’s home and only within 25 miles of the Northern Kentucky area. PS Guard your socks. She loves socks (haha)

Story
Hi, I am Rosie and I am super shy. I am about 6 years old, have been with HART since June 2021 and am looking for a home to call my own. I came from a hoarding situation where over 150 doggies just like me were living together in a small house. My ideal space will either be with one of my friends (King is extra snuggly) or in a home with a dog about my size to hang around. I am a pretty easy going gal and am not territorial about my food, toys or treats. I don't mind cats but a doggie friend is a must for me. I am happiest if I get to roam around a yard with a fence as I have rarely been on a leash and just don't like it. I think I could learn to love humans and their attention but I will need time and patience as I am just learning what it is like to be loved. Think you might be the family for me? Please fill out an adoption application NOW at rescueahart.org as I have been waiting way too long for a place to call my own!

Story
Meet Louis! Louis was found as a stray in Joliet, Illinois. He is 2.5 years old and is a big guy at 21 pounds! If you look up Velcro dog in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of Louis. He LOVES his person with all his heart. While he connects best with men, the nice lady who also lives in the house is OK (but Daddy is his favorite!). Louis would do best with someone who is retired or works at home. He loves to go for walks and likes exploring. He is also happy hanging out in our fenced yard and relaxing. Louis is a cuddling sweetheart that just wants to be by your side and get lots of petting. He is house trained and crate trained (although he sometimes cries while in his crate, he sits or lays down for most of the time he is crated). Louis is completely vetted and up to date on vaccinations. He has been neutered. He is heartworm negative and takes monthly heartworm prevention. Louis’ adoption donation is $300. Louis is available for adoption in the midwest region, which is comprised of: OH, KY, IL, MI, WI. If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below. To submit an application go here: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/ An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled. Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative. Reference checks and a home visit are required so MW dogs can only be adopted in OH/KY/IL/MI/WI.

Story
Meet Alice! Alice is a female chihuahua mix weighing in at 7 pounds. She is on the search for her fur-ever home! Alice was born in September 2019 which makes her just over 6 years old now. Poor Alice was not treated well prior to coming into rescue. It is believed she was used as a breeder dog at a backyard breeder. She has come a long way since being with her foster family. Alice needs to be treated like the queen she is- she deserves the finest things in life! She is a fun-loving little gal, but has to live life on her terms. A few things to know about Alice: she really is not fond of other dogs, unless they are little and leave her alone, but even then, she can be cranky with them. That being said, it has been determined that Alice should be the only dog in her new home. She will need an adult only home, no kids at all. Alice also needs time to get to know new people- all of her vets talked to her first, walked around the room so Alice could go to know them, then they would pick her up and she was okay with that. Alice doesn’t like people sticking their face in her face. She should be in a home without children but is good with adults who know how to handle her and be respectful. Alice is a good eater and not fussy when it comes to food. She likes car rides- her foster family has a seat that they buckle her into but it sits on the console in the middle of both adults and Alice really seems to love that! Due to her arthritis, she should go to a home without steps; she can’t go up stairs on her own. Her foster family has a ramp but most of the time they carry her outside to go potty and carry her back inside. She should be carried or have a stroller, as she should not walk that much, except for going potty and around the yard. As she gets older, she will need more care as she will develop severe arthritis, so maybe pain meds, anti inflammatories, maybe a cart; for now, she can get around and at the times she cannot, her foster parents carry her and/or use a stroller. Will you be the one to give a gal who hasn’t had a good start to life the best possible life from this point on? Alice’s adoption donation is $300. She is available for adoption in the midwest region, which is comprised of: OH, KY, IL, MI, WI. If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below.
