Story
Meet our precious Butterscotch. She is a Riverside Shelter survivor who was in danger of euthanasia due to having a seizure disorder. Butterscotch is a 1 year old Papillion/Corgi Mix and weighs about 12 lbs. She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit. She’s resilient and strong. She currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and where someone is home 24/7. We are currently trying a new treatment for her seizures and are still trying to find the best approach to control them. Butterscotch has both grand mal seizures (seldomly) and focal seizures more frequently. Her forever family will need to be committed to her medicine regimen and also having patience with navigating her challenges. She will do best in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient and will also have the dedication to navigate through her challenges with her. She loves chew toys, she's very treat motivated, and she’s dog and cat friendly. She’s a happy girl with a beautiful spirit. She will bring her new family lots of love and joy. We are excited to help her find her new forever family. Adoption Interest applications are on our website www.jointhescars.org under “forms.” We thank you in advance for your interest in adopting one of our heroes and for your patience through the process. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Victor❤️ 💙 Victor's News Account: @jjamooong._ 1.) Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, dental scaling completed, and completely recovered from heartworm. * Due to a small fracture in her right molars and tartar buildup, special care is taken to brush her teeth. * To help improve her walking posture, she wears a CoBan wrap during walks. * Her paw pads are weak, so you have to bandage them or mind her step when going for a walk. 2.) Rescue Story * Victor was rescued by an Adogs volunteer while she was tied up tightly in a gravel lot. When found, she had clearly been neglected for a long time — food that had gone bad was piled next to her, and she looked frightened. But as soon as she felt safe, she wagged her tail and approached. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Might bark briefly when strangers visit, but this has improved recently. Wags her tail and asks for petting when she meets strangers during walks. Even acts cute if children come up to her and cuddles her, as long as they don’t approach suddenly and in an aggressive manner. With familiar people, she happily flops over for belly rubs. Loves cuddling close to people. If you come home, she will hurry out to welcome you warmly. * With Dogs: Gets along well with her foster family’s dog and even sleeps beside them. Previously, she got overstimulated when seeing other dogs on walks but through training, she now calms down quickly and focuses on treats. Growls at first when she meets a dog at a dog friendly cafe, but stays still when they keep their distance. Is possessive of toys and sometimes tries to threaten other dogs when they play with her toy. Is getting training to fix this behaviour. Has become a lot less possessive over food. * With Cats: Although she growls at cats on walks, she stops quickly and passes by if you tell her to go. * Separation Anxiety: Experiences anxiety when left alone, barking and scratching at the door. Does not feel separation anxiety when with other dogs or strangers though. * Potty Training: Is very good with using pee pads. However, she remembers the first spot it was placed, so consistency in pad location is key. Prefers to go outside if possible and marks with her pee only when outside. Used to eat her poop, but doesn’t anymore. * Hygiene: Does excellently with baths and toothbrushing and enjoys brushing. Does not like having her ears cleaned, so mouths at her foster parent’s hand as a warning without biting. Is very afraid of nail clipping, so it’s mostly handled through walks. * Walks: Gets aggressive when birds or cats pass by. On days when she’s feeling irritated, she lunges with overstimulation and doesn't calm down when she sees other dogs. But on good days, she immediately refocuses on her guardian upon being called. Tends to pull on the leash hard only when other dogs are around. * Car Sickness: No motion sickness during a two-hour drive, but gets anxious when separated in the car. Tries to sit on your lap in such situation. If she’s tired, she will sleep on her cushion. * Biting: May bite defensively if you push her sideways, get close to her face, try to pick her up, or try to clean her ears. Be careful and take your time when you approach her. * Barking: Doesn’t bark even at strangers outside the door as long as they don’t ring the doorbell. Barks briefly when family returns to home. Also barks at times if new people suddenly stand up or make loud noises in the home. * Tricks: Understands the commands such as 'Sit down', 'Lie down', 'Turn', 'Nose', 'V', 'Paw', 'Wait', and 'Kiss'!

Story
Oso was rescued from the San Pedro Harbor Animal Shelter, San Pedro, CA on 7/17/25. He was surrendered to the shelter by his owner of six years. Oso was in the front yard with the gate open when a child ran down the street pass the open gate. Oso ran after him but came back and there was no bite incident or anything. However, the landlord saw this and told thr owner he had to give up the dog. Oso and owner were reluntantly crushed. Too bad they didn't try to board him and then get another apt. He is in foster care with my rescue and has been with me for two weeks as of 7/17.25. At first he was very aloof and scared. He does suffer from separation anxiety so needs a home where he is not left alone all day but now after two weeks he is doing okay with me going out. He has never been crated and is 100% housebroken and plays with stuffed toys and tennis balls. He is okay with small dogs, both sexes but not large dogs. Not been around cats. He needs a home without children or visiting grandchildren. He fetches and chases tennis balls. He has never been crated and sleeps in a doggie bed or pad. After two weeks in his foster home, heis getting to be quite affectonate and loves to be petted. He is good at the groomer's and his teeth are in excellent condition. He is current on all his shots and neutered. The owner filled out a very extensive and thorough owner interview/surrender info sheet. He is very afraid of fireworks. He did spent time with a poodle and chihuahua. He barks at people until he goes used to them but is not aggressive but needs time to decompress which is what he has done for the last 2 weeks in his foster home. Better photos coming.

Story
Hi, I’m TAQUITO! But you can call me ‘Quito, ToTo, T-T, or cutie patootie with a lil bootie. If you need a lil spunk and a lil spice in your life, I’m your dude! I’m a 4-5 year old, 17 lb boy from South Korea. I had a rough start to life, but am so ready to put the past behind me and start fresh with my furever family! I’m silly, spunky and OBVIOUSLY adorable - what’s not to love? Sometimes black dogs like me get overlooked, but I’m hoping my pawfect match will see this post and give me a chance at a new, happy life. I do great with other dogs and I adore humans. I love walks and treats and I promise I’ll be a very good boy who gives you all the love and snuggles. Samson’s Sanctuary rescued me (and 4 other pups) from living chained up outside of a factory in South Korea where we were neglected and physically abused. As soon as I was safe, they took me to the vet where I was diagnosed with heartworm - but luckily I got treatment right away and am now as healthy as can be! I took my freedom flight to LA and am loving life in my first ever foster home, but I'd love to find my FUREVER home! I’ve watched my three sisters get adopted, I'm hoping my turn will come soon! APPLY TO ADOPT ME TODAY! You won’t regret it!
