Story
I adopted Jimbo from the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter back in 2017. My girlfriend and I, at that time, wanted another dog to accompany our other small breed dog when we're not at home. Jimbo is now 10 years old and will be turning 11 in August 28. He is a very sweet dog and the only down side is that he has separation anxiety, and it makes it very difficult to leave him at home all alone, especially with my busy work schedule. He was never a picky eater but he has become so lately. I have tried different types of food and he eats little to none of them. I am also currently facing financial struggles so I can't even afford to take him to a vet to have him checked. I really do not want surrender him back to an animal shelter, but if there's no other option I might have to. I am hoping there will be another dog lover out there who is able to take him in.

Story
Meet our precious Butterscotch. She is a Riverside Shelter survivor who was in danger of euthanasia due to having a seizure disorder. Butterscotch is a 1 year old Papillion/Corgi Mix and weighs about 12 lbs. She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit. She’s resilient and strong. She currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and where someone is home 24/7. We are currently trying a new treatment for her seizures and are still trying to find the best approach to control them. Butterscotch has both grand mal seizures (seldomly) and focal seizures more frequently. Her forever family will need to be committed to her medicine regimen and also having patience with navigating her challenges. She will do best in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient and will also have the dedication to navigate through her challenges with her. She loves chew toys, she's very treat motivated, and she’s dog and cat friendly. She’s a happy girl with a beautiful spirit. She will bring her new family lots of love and joy. We are excited to help her find her new forever family. Adoption Interest applications are on our website www.jointhescars.org under “forms.” We thank you in advance for your interest in adopting one of our heroes and for your patience through the process. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Victor❤️ 💙 Victor's News Account: @jjamooong._ 1.) Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped and completely recovered from heartworm. * Due to a small fracture in her right molars and tartar buildup, special care is taken to brush her teeth. 2.) Rescue Story * Victor was rescued by an Adogs volunteer while she was tied up tightly in a gravel lot. When found, she had clearly been neglected for a long time — food that had gone bad was piled next to her, and she looked frightened. But as soon as she felt safe, she wagged her tail and approached. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Might bark briefly when strangers visit, but this has improved recently. Wags her tail and asks for petting when she meets strangers during walks. Acts cute and flops down comfortably when being petted by familiar people. Loves cuddling close to people. If you come home, she will hurry out to welcome you warmly. Is reactive with people who are running towards her, but she quickly stops if you tell her no. * With Dogs: Gets along well with her foster family’s dog. Previously, she got overstimulated when seeing other dogs on walks but through training, she now calms down quickly and focuses on treats. Growls at first when she meets a dog at a dog friendly cafe, but stays still when they keep their distance. Is possessive of toys and sometimes tries to threaten other dogs when they play with her toy. Is getting training to fix this behaviour. * With Cats: Although she growls at cats on walks, she stops quickly and passes by if you tell her to go. * Separation Anxiety: Experiences anxiety when left alone, barking and scratching at the door. Does not feel separation anxiety when with other dogs or strangers though. * Potty Training: Is very good with using pee pads. However, she remembers the first spot it was placed, so consistency in pad location is key. Prefers to go outside if possible and marks with her pee only when outside. * Hygiene: Does excellently with baths and toothbrushing, and enjoys brushing. Does not like having her ears cleaned, so mouths at her foster parent’s hand as a warning without biting. Is very afraid of nail clipping, so it’s mostly handled through walks. * Walks: Gets aggressive when birds or cats pass by. On days when she’s feeling irritated, she lunges with overstimulation and doesn't calm down when she sees other dogs. But on good days, she immediately refocuses on her guardian upon being called. Tends to pull on the leash hard only when other dogs are around or if she’s in a rush to potty. Is reluctant to go for walks on dark or cold days. * Car Sickness: No motion sickness during a two-hour drive. * Caution is required as there may be defensive (warning) biting if she is suddenly pushed to the side, if someone puts their face too close, if picked up abruptly, or during ear cleaning. * Doesn’t bark even at strangers outside the door as long as they don’t ring the doorbell. Barks briefly when family returns to home. * Loves food very much. While this used to lead to some sensitivity (resource guarding) around other dogs in the house, this behavior has improved significantly. * Understands commands such as 'Sit down', 'Lie down', 'Turn', 'Nose', 'V', 'Paw', 'Wait', and 'Kiss'!

Story
Oso was rescued from the San Pedro Harbor Animal Shelter after his owner surrendered him due to landlord conflicts. He is housetrained and enjoys reclining in a doggie bed or recliner. He is food motivated and good with small dogs. Not cat tested. He is not good with small children or large dogs. Best in an adult home but very congenial with small dogs. He could use some basic obedience training to walk gentling on a leash. He enjoys toys. He would definitely due best in an adult home with no visiting grandkids. Adults would be fine. Travels well in a car.

Story
Leah is a purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi with an undocked natural tail. She was rescued from the San Pedro Harbor Shelter recently after her owner surrendered and two other dogs as they were moving. She has had a litter of pups but is now spayed, current on all shots, microchipped and has had flea control shot and worming. She is an active dog enjoying playing ball with her human or by herself. She is crate trained and is good with most dogs her size or smaller. Not cat tested. Being active she would be good with well-behaved children 11 and up or in an adult home that is savvy with the corgi or herding breed. She knows how to sit, would benefit from a basic park obedience class and enjoys walks. She has been to a private vet and had blood and fecal work done and is in good health.
