Story

Meet our precious Butterscotch. She is a Riverside Shelter survivor who was in danger of euthanasia due to having a seizure disorder. Butterscotch is a 1 year old Papillion/Corgi Mix and weighs about 12 lbs. She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit. She’s resilient and strong. She currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and where someone is home 24/7. We are currently trying a new treatment for her seizures and are still trying to find the best approach to control them. Butterscotch has both grand mal seizures (seldomly) and focal seizures more frequently. Her forever family will need to be committed to her medicine regimen and also having patience with navigating her challenges. She will do best in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient and will also have the dedication to navigate through her challenges with her. She loves chew toys, she's very treat motivated, and she’s dog and cat friendly. She’s a happy girl with a beautiful spirit. She will bring her new family lots of love and joy. We are excited to help her find her new forever family. Daisy came to us from a Sacramento shelter. She is partially blind, but does hear. Whoever had her before loved her because she is very well behaved and trained to use potty pads. She does well with other does and cats. Loves to be held and hugged. When she's sleeping her tail wags. She's so sweet. ##2020889##

Waffles was found abandoned near some train tracks. He was super friendly and walked I to a friend's garage with no tags or chip. He is approximately 5 years old, 24 pounds, neutered male Cattle Dog/Corgi/Chi mix. Clean bill of health with updated rabies/vaccinations and on flea preventative. Also, got his dental teeth cleaning done. Anxious at first, but warms up quickly. A bit wary with little kids, so 12yrs+ is preferred. Knows basic commands and is easily trainable with treats. Potty trained outdoors, on pee pads, leash trained, and semi crate trained. Unsure how he is with multiple household pets/cats.

🧡 Meet Choco 🧡 🐶 Name: Choco 📏 Weight: 15kg (33 lbs) 🎂 Age: 5 years old ⚥ Gender: Male (neutered) 🏥 Health Condition: No known medical issues 🐾 Breed: Welsh Corgi 🎨 Color: Brown & White 🐾 Rescue Story Choco was rescued in Korea after his former guardian, who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness, was no longer able to care for him and had to surrender him. He was at risk of being sent to a shelter, but thankfully, he was rescued just in time. He spent a month in a foster home in Korea where he did relatively well. Aside from some barking triggered by outdoor noises and needing caution with unfamiliar dogs, he showed no major issues. He was later adopted by a family in Vancouver, living on a nature-friendly island. The family had young children and frequently allowed off-leash activities. However, this environment turned out to be unsuitable for Choco. 💡 What Choco Needs Choco is looking for a family who understands the Welsh Corgi breed and can provide consistent leadership and training. He is intelligent, loyal, and eager to bond, but thrives best in a stable and structured environment. 🏡 Choco’s Ideal Home 👨‍👩 A household with no children 🐕 A home where Choco is the only pet 🏡 A detached house with some space from neighbors due to barking (not suitable for apartments or duplexes) 🌳 A securely fenced yard so Choco can exercise safely even when walks aren’t possible 🌲 A quiet suburban or rural environment is better than a high-stimulation city setting 🕒 A guardian who can dedicate time and effort to consistent training and guidance Choco isn’t the right fit for every home, but for the right person who understands his breed and can offer the guidance he needs, he’ll be a deeply devoted and loving companion.
