Story
I've been asked to help find a home for Teddei, an 11.5 year old male Pembroke who has been diagnosed with "moments" of dementia. Here is his caregiver's narrative followed by photos. "Teddei is an 11 1/2 YO tri colored Pembroke corgi. He has been an only dog in the home since he was 8 weeks. He developed onset dementia last fall and its been absolutely heartbreaking. He needs someone to be home with him all the time. Preferably in a quiet environment without kids or other pets. Given his age he doesn’t really care for other dogs or animals. In his old age, he doesn’t get along with other dogs. He just had a vet visit last week and his enzyme levels were low in his liver so he is on liver supplements that he needs to take daily. Other than that, he’s been absolutely healthy. He needs a loving home with lots of human petting and a quiet area to hang. He loves to sit in the sun and go on walks. He has a huge personality and the biggest smile. He loves to be chased and loves a good cow ear to chew on. Occasionally he also enjoys a pup cup or a nice shredded chicken topping on his kibble. He definitely won’t say no to a bully stick chew."

Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Mango :) She was rescued from a high-kill city shelter and was about to be euthanized. However, due to her refusal to be touched by strangers, she underwent a lengthy training program with her foster family and is now doing very well. If you give her enough time and unconditional love, he will become your best friend. • Affinity with -Cats: She is currently doing well with the cats in her temporary home. She is not aggressive towards cats and ignores them. -Dogs: She is currently getting along well with the dogs in her foster home. They usually play well together, but there are times when she is shy. -Adults/Kids: She is shy with people, and is good with people she knows well (she gets treats), but is very cautious with touch. Sudden touch from strangers (adults & kids) can cause her to act defensive (she hasn't bitten yet but acts like she will, or she pees when picked up and held suddenly, or she jumps away), but she will sniff and recognize when approached cautiously. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, in both familiar and new places. Sometimes hesitates to go for a walk in crowded places (but does well in moderate crowds). • Housetrained: She's housebroken and doesn't cause too many problems, but she still chews on wood and plastic items. She goes potty on her pee pad, but much prefers to do her business outdoors. When outdoors, he relieves himself on dirt or grass. • Shedding: Usually, her coat will increase when winter comes. The fur gets stuck to the fabric rather than shedding. • Bathing/Brushing: She takes baths well (though not her favorite). She also likes to be brushed. • Separation Anxiety: She has always lived with other dogs but has no problem when her foster family goes out of town. • Bark or Howl: She barks when she hears strangers outside. She barks when strangers come to visit, but there's no aggression - she doesn't howl. • Carsickness: She gets nervous when riding in the car, so she can get car sick when traveling for long periods. She tolerates it well for about 30 minutes. • Her favorite things are a set routine, family, walks, playing in the park, and her favorite treats (tridles, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cheese, chicken, beef, duck, etc.) • Personality: She is a little timid, cautious, gentle, and good-natured. She loves going for walks with her family, spending time at her favorite park, and just being at home with her family. She also loves walks, parks, and hikes, and at home, she's happy to be in her own space (fluffy or crate) or sit quietly by her family's side.

Story
❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Henry👋 an endearing handsome boy with cute unbalanced ears! Henry was found alone on a street in S. Korea at four months old in July 2021 and taken to a high-risk city shelter. Fortunately, having been rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team, he lived in a crowded private shelter with numerous dogs until July 2023, when he found a foster home. His loving foster family has been taking good care of him since. Henry has learned a lot about how to love and be loved by his people. He is full of charm and can’t wait to show it to his forever family! • Personality: Calm, Curious, Adorable Henry is a calm and independent pup with a strong curiosity! All he needs in the beginning is enough time for him to get himself accustomed to the new environment. He is not a big cuddler, but you can see some of his lovely sides once he warms up to you💕 First of all, his unbalanced ears are absolutely something to adore about him! His energy level is medium-low. He is mostly chill and spends most of his time at home resting. He only gets excited and active when having a walk outside. He is neither a barker nor a destroyer! • Affinity with - Dogs: Generally good with other dogs. He wants to say hi to other dogs on a walk, though he prefers calm friends and tries to ignore barking/hyper dogs. - Cats: No aggression but just excitement & curiosity. - Adults/Kids: Good with adults except loud/aggressive male adults. / He just tries to avoid kids when they approach. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered, pacing with his people without pulling the leash. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly going potty outdoors but he knows how to use pee-pads indoors when necessary. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good and calm • Barks/Howls: Almost none. Just a little bit when strangers come inside the house. • Car Sickness: in training • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Likes/Dislikes: Henry loves being petted, going for walks, and meat! / He doesn’t like big gestures and sudden loud noise, though he is not sensitive to usual residential noise. If you have an open heart and a loving home for Henry, please don't hesitate to apply!

Meet Happy💜 Happy lived neglected within a fenced area of junkyard. The person who reported Happy to us was feeding Happy for a year and when the junkyard went bankrupt, the owner left and abandoned Happy. Please be Happy’s miracle and become his forever family. 🙏🏻 * He has a Jindo face with short legs just like a corgi. He is adorable and sunny. 🥰 * He's wary at first, but once he opens up, he is sweet and asks for pets. 😊 * Not very interested in the other dog friends at ADOGS Center! He only takes his own treats and doesn’t pay much attention to other dogs. He does well all around! * He has a good appetite and eats very fast. He needs help with eating slowly because he might choke and cough when he eats too fast. * He does not bark when other dogs bark 👍🏻

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet Victor🩷 Victor was discovered in a field of pebbles, tied with an ill-fitted collar and rescued by a Adogs volunteer. When she was rescued, she appeared terrified, surrounded by rotting food that had accumulated over time. However, she was rapidly turned around and showed signs of relief and tail-wagging as she warmed up. Is doing well with the foster family who is giving lots of care and affection. * Interaction with People : Absolutely loves people! Is a bit wary of strangers when she meets them outdoors but approaches and smells them as well as enjoys petting. Is so fond of being touched that she immediately lies down and exposes her tummy when the foster family touches her. Is wary and barks once at the doorstep when strangers visit the home, but is fine once they come in. Displays her interest by checking the location of the guest after hiding herself.  * Interaction with Dogs: Seems not to have many happy memories with other dogs, and not to like them. Gets along well with other dogs who she encounters at the puppy kindergarten. Gets tight with her fur standing on end, assumes a defensive stance when she encounters other dogs ehile walking. Is receiving training in desensitization gradually by rapidly backing away when she encounters a dog. * Interaction with Cat: Tends to be excited, growl and chase after cats who she may encounter during walks. Caution is necessary. * Separation Anxiety: When left alone, she appears nervous. Occasionally howls or makes pee mistakes when left alone. Is getting training with space separation and is improving gradually. Is ok as long as she has at least one family member present at home.  * Potty Training: Is so smart that she can use the potty pads even in a new environment. Is adept at indoor potty but prefers going outside to do potty. * Hygiene: Likes baths and enjoys being brushed! Fears having her ears cleaned so much that she needs to wear a neck collar during the ear cleansing. Is scared of toenail clippings and much walking would help her nails trimmed naturally. * Walks: Is a super skillful walker who can walk at a controlled pace. Is a perceptive dog that walks slowly with her foster mom and runs with her foster sister. Tends to pull on the leash when other dogs, cats, or birds passes by or feels urgent calling of nature. * Car Sickness: Is good at getting into cars, but once the car starts moving, she gets slightly nervous and feels a bit car sick. Gets anxious in the car when she is away from people and wants to go up on the legs. *Shedding: There is fur shedding during the molting season. * Mastered 'Sit, Lie Down, Turn around, Paw, Wait, House, Kiss, Cool, Nose, and Come Here' – a true pro in following commands! 😎 * Rarely barks! Even when she does infrequently, she stops barking when she is told to sit. * Has a gluttony tendency and must be fed separately when with other dogs. * Occasionally nips with a hope to stay more when the foster father gets her out of his bedroom. Occasionally nips defensively with scare when he has toenail clipped.  * Comes even from a distance when you call her while slightly bending your kneels. **Health Condition** - Completed heartworm treatment. 💙 Foster's Instagram : @victor_victorydog

Story
Meet Volt⚡️ Volt was found at Korean city shelter, where he had lived for a long time without a chance for rescue due to lack of space. When his health began to deteriorate rapidly with significant weight loss, he was urgently rescued. * Interaction with People: Volt is initially shy but allows gentle touches. Once he warms up, he becomes very affectionate, always staying close and wagging his tail enthusiastically in the mornings. Although getting comfortable with strangers takes him some time, a slow and steady approach helps him open up. * Interaction with Dogs: Calmly approaches dogs of similar or smaller size. May become intimidated by larger dogs and avoid them. They can be jealous, so careful supervision is needed around other dogs. * Interaction with Cats: He is slightly fearful of cats, so careful interaction is necessary, but he does not show aggression. * Separation Anxiety: Very attached to people; tends to howl and bark for about 20-30 minutes after family members leave but is currently undergoing training to manage this behavior. He can stay quiet if kept at a distance from strangers. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty. Rarely makes a mistake indoor. * Hygiene: He enjoys being brushed and tends to doze off during grooming sessions. He cooperates well during baths. He is not used to tooth brushing but is currently getting accustomed to having his mouth handled. * Walking: The dog enjoys walks but can pull on the leash when excited or encountering large dogs, sometimes barking if frightened. * Car Sickness: Initially restless but settles down and can fall asleep after a while. * Intelligent Volt can perform tricks like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'wait,' 'give paw,' and 'hello'! * Possessive over toys, may bark if other dogs approach while he's playing, requiring attention to manage his behavior. **Health Status: Finished heartworm treatment(needs to be rechecked on January 2025)

Story
Liam came in as a stray to the San Pedro Harbor Shelter on 5/22. He was not claimed and only myself showed up on 5/30 when he became avl for adoption. He's been to 2 vets and is now ship shape. He had a dental at a specialist dog dentist on 8/23 and since he had serious peridontal disease, he also had a good # of his teeth extracted. He's only 4 years old so we don't know why he had this peridontal issue so young. He will be available for meet/greet at Entradero Park., 5500 Towers St. in Torrance once a completed pre adopt ap is submitted. Send for one. He is sweet natured and good with my small senior dogs. He will need some obedience training as he pulls on a leash but he is crate trained and housetrained. He rides well in a car and takes treats gently in his mouth. He is a Cardigan Corgi thus the blue Merle and a Pembroke Corgi cross. He is a tri with blue merle. He has beautiful blue eyes. Loves to be brushed. He weighs 34 lbs. and is available to adopt for people with prior corgi or corgi mix ownership or herding dog experience. Adoption is limited to Culver City down thru all the beach areas and Palos Verdes, the southbay and Long Beach. I do not place corgis with families that have young children or grandchildren under the age of 15. First meet and greet once an application is completed and reviewed which would include a home ck after the meet/greet can be arranged as early as the weekend following Labor Day.
