HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPOR SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Sprout! Sprout is a 4-year-old, 20 lb Dachshund/Spaniel mix with the sweetest personality and the most lovable little quirks. He’s an incredibly loving, gentle boy who loves belly rubs and will happily roll onto his back to ask for them! Sprout came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA and can be a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, his affectionate and playful side shines. He does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with ~ though he can be a tiny bit bossy at times. He walks well on leash and loves going on walks and outings with his people. With his soft black coat and an adorable white “sock” on one front paws, Sprout is as cute as he is sweet! He would love a home that will take him on adventures, give him plenty of playtime, and most importantly ~ shower him with snuggles. Sprout is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
