Story
Darling Darby is now almost 4 mo old and he’s ready for his own, forever home. He currently weighs about 9lbs and he should be approx 14lbs when he’s full grown. Darby is a very social, silly boy that will run up to everyone he meets and immediately rolls on his back for a belly rub. He is very gentle, too, so he’d be a great addition to a home with school age kids. Darby loves to play and wrestle with his siblings and he gets along great with his foster siblings so another playful, small dog in the home is required. He gets along great with the kitties, too. Darby is a little insecure while he’s learning to walk on a leash, but he’s a very smart boy that is figuring it out quickly. He loves to run around the yard and explore, and he’s not yet fully potty trained so a fenced yard would be best. Because he’s still too young to be neutered, his surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption.  If you would like to meet this adorable little pup please email k9cabbie@gmail.com and include your phone number.December 11, 2024, 11:40 am

Story
Cute as can be Miles is approx 6 mo old and he weighs just a little over 9lbs. He should be about 12lbs when full grown. He is a very friendly, silly as can be boy that is ready for his forever home. He loves all people, including children so a socially active home would be ideal. He is also wonderful with dogs and cats so another small, friendly dog in the home would be great, too. Milo is a very curious boy so outside exploring, hiking and playtime is a must. A fenced yard would be best. He is also very smart and is learning his manners quickly. He is not fully potty trained but with just a little more help, he’ll have it down in no time. He is doing great with his crate training. Because he’s still such a young puppy, he should not be alone for longer than 4/5hr intervals. He is a quiet boy so with a little training, he’d be a great office dog companion. If you would like to meet little Miles please email k9cabbie@gmail.com and include your phone number.December 11, 2024, 12:46 pm

Story
Meet Cheez! Little Cheez is a lovely pup, perhaps a mix of Dachshund and Lab? We're not sure but boy is he cute! Cheez is an adorable playful puppy that is ready to explore the world around him. He loves playing with toys, fetching balls, and sitting for treats. He calms down easily in his crate or playpen and is great with the resident dog at his foster home. He’s learning how to walk on a leash and is starting to get on a potty schedule.  &#226&#128&#139Cheez will be vaccinated, chipped and dewormed. He will be neutered between 8-12 months at our cost. His adoption fee is $525.   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Baboo (full name Baboushka) is 9 years old as of November 11, 2023. He was rescued from a county pound in 2016 and has lived in California, Peru, Idaho, and Washington! He is a well-traveled dog, and loves to go for car rides, walks and stroller trips. Baboo has IVDD, which started when he was 4 years old. He went into immediate surgery, 24 hours after symptoms developed and spent 9 months in rehab and therapy until he started to walk again. I spent the next three years slowly working with him to get him to where he is today! He can go on short trots, long, slow-paced walks, do some mild wrestling and live happily and painlessly thanks to a lot of hard work and patience on his part. He has come so far, has a big heart and is looking for his perfect cuddly family! He cannot jump or be overly active, due to having 3 herniated discs removed, and 2 remaining on his spine. He is looking for a forever home, preferably where he can be the only dog.

Story
Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video. https://youtu.be/eMLzAJO7uxM

Story
Welcome Bristol to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Bristol is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed dog. She is a small girl at about 7 pounds. She is a little under weight and her fosters will giving her good nutrition. She just had a litter of pups and we are posting them now. Bristol will be spayed soon and will be able to be the center of her family’s life soon. We could not be happier for Bristol. She is very sweet. She is learning the leash, doggie door, crate, car rides and working on potty training. The fosters believe she may have lived outside in her first home in life. She deserves to be a part of the family and get showered with love. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her small size. She is going to be loyal to her person and usually they pick one to be their person. She likes to be held and sit in your lap. She isn’t too energetic and a small condo sized yard would be sufficient. If she goes to a colder climate she would need a good coat as she was cold today in Texas and it was only 70 degrees. She is good with cats and lives with a large dog. She is a wonderful mother dog and will make a wonderful family companion. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200 if she is transported with the local transporter.
