Meet Anastasia! 🐾 Anastasia is a petite 7-8 year-old, 9-pound sweetheart looking for a patient, loving home of her own. She is incredibly loyal and affectionate once she knows and trusts you. Anastasia isn’t the kind of girl who gives her heart away immediately—she needs a little time to settle in, decompress, and get comfortable with new people. But once you become her people, you’re in! She bonds deeply and is a wonderfully devoted companion. Anastasia does well with small, older, polite dogs and is great with cats. A quieter home where she can adjust at her own pace would be ideal. She is: Spayed Microchipped Up to date on rabies vaccination Current on heartworm and flea prevention Anastasia does need a dental, which her adopter should plan to address with their veterinarian. And about that haircut! 😊 Anastasia normally has an adorable soft, scruffy coat, approximately 1–1½ inches long. Her very caring foster recently gave her an extra-short summer haircut to help keep her comfortable in the upcoming heat. The short-haired photos were taken July 20, 2026, so her trademark scruffy look will grow back! Anastasia is currently being fostered in the Seattle area. Adoption fee will be returned once proof of follow-up veterinary care is provided. GRAVY 1½ years • Long-Haired Dapple Dachshund/Doxie Mix Stunningly handsome, sweet and cuddly — meet Gravy, part of our Breakfast Club that arrived on Monday. When he first arrived, Gravy seemed like one of the boldest of the bunch. He would come looking for pets but stay just far enough away that he couldn't be caught — something we commonly see with undersocialized dogs or dogs who haven't always been treated kindly. What a difference a safe foster home makes. He’s opening up more every day and now seeks out his foster dad for comfort and cuddles. He runs zoomies with Waffles, loves outside time in the safety of their big fenced yard and has become best friends with Wilson, a Pacific Rim Rescue alum his fosters adopted last year. STRUDEL Dapple Dachshund Mix as sweet as her name and another of our Breakfast Club that arrived this week! Strudel had one of the most dramatic makeovers of the bunch. We actually thought she had tan/brown legs when she arrived. Nope. That was filth. Underneath the severe matting was a darling dapple girl who is definitely a Doxie mix — a little taller than your standard Dachshund, but every bit as long! Her grooming had to be extensive, with latticework-like mats covering her body and her coat shaved nearly to the skin. Understandably, that made an already shy girl a little more cautious about people. She really didn't want to go through THAT again. But Strudel is exploring her foster home — sometimes under and apparently inside the furniture 😂 — and making friends with the resident Doxies and Lab. Give her a little time to settle and you'll discover her other talent: world-class cuddling. 🐾 Shy, sweet & curious 🐾 Gorgeous dapple/merle coloring 🐾 Good with her foster's dogs 🐾 World-class cuddler 🐾 Exploring skills: advanced And because there wasn't much coat left after removing those mats, this sweet girl got herself a little fleece sweater and a couple coats to wear while it grows back. ❤️ Strudel has received her Spay, is current on vaccinations and has been Microchipped as part of her adoption donation. Welcome Mason Jar to CCPAL Rescue. Mason Jar is a 10 week old sweetie. Dachshund/Black Mouth Cur mix is our best guess. He should be a medium sized dog 28 pounds or less. He is sturdy but has really stubby legs. His mom is Pickles and she is also medium sized. He is getting lots of attention at the Rescue and he is social, good with other dogs, good in a crate, learning wee pad manners and is over all a very nice puppy. The kennel staff usually bathe and clip toenails on a regular basis as well. He should be fine with grooming. He has a soft fluffy coat and adorable expressions. He was found as a stray with his mom who is Pickles. He is getting all 3 sets of his puppy vaccinations, neutered and will be neutered soon. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Mason Jar would be fine in a family with children. We like them to be 8 or older. A puppy is always best with someone that is not gone all day everyday. A puppy needs to bond with his humans and to go places to remain and grow up to be a well rounded dog. Mason Jar will also need to finish his puppy training. He would be great in a doggy daycare as he gets time playing off leash with other puppies his size. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Welcome Drummer to CCPAL Rescue. Drummer is an 8-year-old wire-haired Dachshund. He was adopted out by us 4 years ago. He was 4 at the time. He has been loved and bonded deeply to the woman that adopted him. He would love another home with a quieter home that would allow him to get the attention he needs and deserves. He has found himself in need of a new forever home. His owner has been put in hospice and can no longer care for him. The immediate family cannot care for him so we stepped up and will find this precious boy his new forever home. He is trying to adjust to the Rescue again. The treats from our friends in New Jersey helped him today along with all the nice gifts. His owner has been put in hospice and can no longer care for him. They can easily live to be 17 years old. If you love the breed, you know how loyal and bonded these dogs are to their person. They are a single dog person dog. They may love other people but they are loyal to one. He sheds some but not over the top. He is a good weight and his teeth are not too bad for his age. You can tell he was cared for and that he is disoriented with his new arrangement at the Rescue. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. I got baby girl Lola two years ago when she was two months old. She’s always been a sweet gentle doggie. She does bark at new people like a typical chihuahua. She is very cuddly and loves attention. She’s never been an aggressive dog, she is literally all bark no bite. I unfortunately can’t continue to care for her due to moving and my newborn. I’d love for her to have a home where she isn’t always lonely, finding an owner that takes time to play with her and tells her she’s pretty. She also does well in a calm environment, too much excitement gets her started and she will get the zoomies. She’s a very sweet girl, I really want her to go to a good home.
