Story
Meet Hankyul🩵 He spent a long time in Korean city shelter due to being very timid and wary of people😭 We took him to the training center and he learned a life with people there! Now he's waiting for his forever family in foster home. * Separation Anxiety: None * Potty Training: No accident at all 100% 💟 Personality and Characteristics * Keywords: #Loves people, #Energetic, #Timid * Energy Level (1~10): Lv.5 * He generally gets along well with other dogs but shows discomfort towards dogs who come at him too actively and boldly.🥲 * He is timid in nature so will be cautious of strangers but with time, he becomes affectionate and lively! * His fear of people has lessened a lot, and he will follow people to sniff them. He might growl softly at people who give him excessive attention. * He tries to run away if he comes across a group of men…🥲 but once he passes them, he calms down quickly. * He doesn’t nag you to play and will sleep in his own space. He will still roll over with affection when you make eye contact! 💗 * Sensitive to noises & tends to get startled at loud noises. * He rarely barks inside the house even when he’s having fun or gets excited! He only barked outside noise one time. He barks at other pups, but if there is a door or fence, he barks less. * When he sees another dog, he tends to charge at them and bark. He’s also going through training to stop chasing street cats! * He loves his walks!🥰 When going out for a walk, his excitement level tends to be high, and with consistent training, he now rarely pulls. * Has some shedding. * Gets car sick. * Mastered Sit & Down✨ * Likes: Meat treats, walks, running around, pats on his butt.

Story
Meet Victor💜 She was found tied with a tight collar in a pebble field. Upon rescue, she appeared frightened, surrounded by accumulated food, but quickly warmed up, showing signs of relief and wagging her tail. * Separation Anxiety: Still quite anxious when left alone for extended periods, resulting in whining and occasionally tearing wallpaper or mats 😭 * Housebroken: Prefers outdoor potty. * She hasn't met other dogs many times so she's a little shy. With calm friends, she slowly greets by sniffing, but for those who approach aggressively, she expresses with a growl. * Absolutely loves people! During greetings, she lies down and eagerly leans on people, seeking cuddles all over 🥰 * Extensively affectionate towards strangers outdoors, but indoors with unfamiliar faces, she's initially a bit apprehensive. Once familiar, she becomes an adorable sweetheart! * Initially pulls on the leash during walks but gradually syncs pace. Tends to chase after cats, so caution is necessary. * Rarely barks! When unfamiliar people enter the house, she quietly 'woofs' (who's there!) without continuous barking. * Has no issues with car rides! 😊 * Enjoys baths! 🫧 Loves it when thoroughly scrubbed during shampooing. * Loves eating, making training possible with kibble! * Feels a bit apprehensive during ear cleaning/nail trimming. * Sheds only during shedding seasons. * Special Skills: Mastered 'Paw, Sit, Lie Down, Wait, House, Cool, Kiss, Nose' – a true pro in commands! 😎 * Favorites: Familiar people, head pats, fruits, running, cuddling 💙 Foster's Instagram: @imbo_victor_

Story
Cashew is a lovely, 3-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is ready to brighten up your home with his gentle presence. Cashew is a bit cautious at first with new people, especially men, but warms up beautifully. He walks well on a leash and is fully house trained. He is mostly quiet! He’ll let you know if someone is at the door, but he does NOT bark excessively which is a rare gift in a small dog like this. Cashew is social with other dogs and would like to have friends or a small housemate he could play chase with. And OH, what a snuggle-bunny! He thoroughly enjoys belly rubs, being sung to, and generally being with his people. Cashew was surrendered by his previous owner along with 5 other small dogs. He would be an excellent addition to your loving home. Story
This sweet, gentle, loving senior needs a forever home!! His human Dad passed away and Charlie has nowhere to go. We can change that only IF you open your heart and home. What we know about Charlie: 10-12 years old 22 pounds (overweight) Walks great on leash Friendly, shy Gets along with dogs (with proper introductions) Chases cats Kids 12+ older Potty training is a work in progress Talker Male / female home Charlie lived most of his life indoors, fed people food, led an inactive/isolated lifestyle and had not seen a vet in many years. Charlie's wellness exam, senior blood panel and urinalysis were positive with no concerns and will need a dental within the year. We would LOVE to change all of this so while he's being temporarily cared for, we have instructed the guardians to begin his weight loss with a healthy diet and incorporate daily gentle walks. Charlie is eating a high quality diet with added senior supplements. The home and lifestyle we are striving for is as follows: - Retired, work from home - Active walkers, quiet lifestyle, adventures outside of the home - Single family residence with secure fenced yard - Rural setting (he is not a city boy) - Another small dog similar in age/energy and activity level - No cats - Experience and breed specific knowledge. - Follows positive force free training guidelines Locations we adopt: Washington State, Oregon, British Columbia Please connect with us via email: hearts4doxies

Story
Welcome Ginger to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3-year old Dachshund/Beagle. She is good with other dogs. She has been in off-leash play groups with dogs bigger than she is and she does great. She is a hound and will scent off. She needs a fenced yard and not underground type fencing. She was playing games today when we were trying to leash her but she is a foodie and will work for treats. She has a nice sturdy long body. This will allow her to be a good walking companion. She would be best in a Ranch style home with fewer stairs. The longer body dogs do best if they don’t have to climb lots of stairs and keep their weight in check. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and is ready for her forever home. She is crated at the Rescue and she does fine in a crate. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would like someone familiar with the Doxie breed as we can see the Doxie personality in this little girl. Doxie’s bond deeply and usually pick one person in the family to be their person. We would expect her to do this in her new home as well. A smaller yard would be fine for this girl and only a moderately active family would be fine. She won’t need tons of exercise to be happy. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washingto, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
