Story
Itsy, Boo, Jelly Bean, Bonbon, Love Bug, Poky, Buggy, Herbie & Royce, innocent and helpless, found themselves abandoned and alone at the local shelter when our rescue team saw their post for help.  Too young to even feed themselves, they relied on the nurturing care of our dedicated bottle feeder foster mom to survive and thrive. These precious little souls slowly grew stronger and more adorable, capturing the hearts of everyone around them. And now, after receiving the love and care they so desperately needed, these sweet companions are finally ready for their forever homes. Our team at Spring Branch Rescue is thrilled to announce that they are now available for adoption to loving families who will continue to provide them with the care and attention they deserve. For those interested in welcoming one of these furry friends into their homes, we are pleased to offer transportation services from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and East Coast every month. And for our Canadian friends, we have a special stop in Bellingham, WA, where you can pick up your new companion. If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes, our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunately Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.  Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue.   Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. To learn more about the adoption process and fees, we invite you to visit our website at www.springbranchrescue.org. We are confident that these little ones will bring endless joy and love to their new families, and we cannot wait to see them find their happily ever after. Adopt, don't shop, and change your life today. ##1987993##

MEET CRAIG - This sweet 10-year-old Doxie-Chi mix was recently rescued from a California shelter, where he was skin and bones. He is not putting some weight on, but it is clear he was previously neglected. Despite this, Craig is a quiet, sweet, easygoing dog who will make a wonderful companion for someone who has a peaceful and quiet home. He deserves to be pampered after all he's been through. Craig weighs about 15 lbs. and is a very easy dog to take care of and spoil. Please email for an application.

Story
Animal Profile: Gus is an adorable, ~12lb dachshund/terrier mix who is estimated to be around 4 years old. He was originally rescued from a high-kill shelter in Bakersfield, CA and arrived in Seattle in January.  Foster Update: Meet Gus! This sweet guy has been quick to steal the heart of everyone he meets. We are guessing he is a dachshund/terrier mix, with the cutest wiry fur along his back. He has been getting settled into his foster home and doing great. His foster mom shares, "Gus is a sweet, well-mannered gentleman with a playful, curious nature. He’s been settling in quickly and is loving exploring every inch of our house and backyard. Gus is potty trained and he is quiet and content in his crate — in fact we’ve barely heard him make a single peep except to howl along with an ambulance on his way home! He’s a little shy with new people but has warmed up to us in just a few days to the point where he’s now asking for pets and is dying to snuggle on the couch (we won’t let him at this time poor guy!). He likes to do zoomies in our basement when it’s playtime but also is great at settling down on a dog bed in my office when I’m working. I think this little guy is going to be a total socialite once he has really settled in and gained some confidence. Oh and he has yet to turn down a single treat and cleans his bowl every meal, so safe to say he is food motivated!" As Gus has continued to settle in, he has shown some excitement on his leash where he will pull or vocalize at passing dogs/people. His foster family has been working with him on his leash manners, and he has shown great improvement. His forever family will need to feel comfortable to continue to keep up good leash manners with Gus. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at Bakersfield in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 01/31/24. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.May 5, 2024, 12:50 am

Story
Animal Profile: Buffalo is an estimated 6 month-old, 20-ish pound male Dachshund mix who was surrendered to the Caddo Parish shelter along with his two siblings, who have since been rescued.  Foster Update: Buffalo definitely has puppy energy! He loves chews, toys and is happy to entertain himself. Buffalo has an adventurous spirit in the yard and he’s quickly learning what’s his and what’s not in true puppy style. He is house trained and he sleeps beautifully through the night in his crate. He will actually put himself in his crate once he is tuckered out from playing. He is a short little fella but he is full steam ahead and he has no problem keeping up with his furry foster siblings in a game of chase. Buffalo’s ideal day is play, nap, eat, repeat! He is really good at following cues from the other dogs in the house so he would do great in a home with another dog or two that like to play and can teach him the ropes, but it’s not required for him. Buffalo will do best with a family with prior dog experience and no really young children because he is slow to warm up to new people but he is getting braver day by day as his fosters help him see that the PNW is not such a scary place and are slowly introducing him to the neighborhood and new adventures.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Caddo Parish animal shelter in Shreveport Louisiana and arrived to Seattle via Tail Lights Rescue Project on March 4, 2024. May 5, 2024, 12:50 am

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Manchego - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Let me introduce you to the...(drum roll) cheese litter! As you know, cheese comes in many different flavors and textures as does these precious puppies. We have Manchego, Asiago, Havarti, Brie, Gouda, Parmesan and Provolone. I'm Manchego... creamy and mild, with a slight tang, I'm around 3 months (DOB 1/17/24) and doing all the things a puppy loves to do... exploring, eating, playing, napping, playing some more and of course snuggling. I'm in the sponge stage of my life where I'm soaking up...everything! I come in at about 15lb and should be a pawsome mediumish size boy when I get myself fully growed up. Perfect for all your action packed adventures!!! I would make a great family addition to just about any home as I do well with people both tall and small and the other foster pups. I haven't met any of those weird smelling creatures y'all call a cat yet but if introduced properly at my tender age I should do fine with them too! I'm in search of a home to call my very own, to have the honor to call you...family!! Won't you please fill out my adoption application?!!
