Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Your New Little Sidekick! 🐾❤️ This handsome little guy is a 5-year-old, 12-pound Chiweenie with a personality that is WAY bigger than his tiny body! 🌭🐶 He's a total character and has a wonderfully comical personality that will keep you laughing. He loves his people deeply and, once you're his person, he's all about being by your side. And when the day is done, his favorite place is probably curled up next to you for a good snuggle. 🥰 Don't let his small size fool you—this boy LOVES his walks! He's happiest when he's out exploring the world with his favorite person, so he'd make a great little walking buddy. He's also crate trained and does well with other dogs. Now, he does have a little bit of a "Who are you and why are you at my house?!" reaction when meeting new people. 😂 He can be barky with strangers, so he'll do best with someone who understands that some little dogs need a little time to warm up and feel comfortable. Once you're in his circle, though, you've got a loyal little buddy who loves his people. If you're looking for a funny, affectionate, walk-loving, snuggly little companion with a big personality packed into 12 pounds, this Chiweenie might be your perfect match! ❤️ Apply to adopt him at haydudeequine.org! 🐾

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Mikey! Mikey is a 1-year-old, 15 lb Dachshund/Spaniel mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. He’s now looking for a very special home that can give him the time, patience, and understanding he needs to thrive. Mikey is a shy, sensitive boy who can be skittish in new situations and around new people. He is considered a flight risk, so he will need a calm, secure home committed to keeping him safe while he learns to trust and settle in. He’s looking for a quiet, predictable environment—ideally outside of the busy city—where he can decompress, build confidence, and establish a steady routine. Because of his sensitive nature, Mikey will need an adult-only home with adopters who have experience working with shy or fearful dogs. Having another well-adjusted, confident dog in the home would be a huge benefit for Mikey. He takes comfort in other dogs and would love a buddy to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. While he may be reserved at first, once Mikey forms a bond and feels safe, he shows his true colors—sweet, cuddly, and deeply loving with his people. He just needs time, patience, and a gentle approach to get there. Mikey has not been tested with cats. Mikey is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Croissant! Croissant is an 8-year-old, 16 lb Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a big personality. This charming little guy is looking for a forever home where he can enjoy life’s simple pleasures—walks, cuddles, and spending time with his favorite people. Croissant is a sweet, outgoing companion who loves getting out for walks and being included in his family’s daily adventures. He’s happiest when he’s close to his people and would love nothing more than a home where he can be someone’s loyal little sidekick. Croissant has done well with other dogs, though he can sometimes be a bit bossy or grouchy. He generally gets along well with canine companions who respect his space and personality, but he could also be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the attention for himself. This little guy can be vocal, so we’re looking for a standalone home rather than an apartment or condo. He’ll thrive in a home that appreciates his quirky personality and gives him plenty of love and companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal, lovable little dog with plenty of character, Croissant is ready to become your devoted best friend. He can’t wait to find a family to call his very own! Croissant is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Lena! Lena is a 1-year-old, 19 lb Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This girl is an absolute charmer! She is happy, sweet, spunky, goofy, loving, cuddly, and always ready for some fun! Lena is a social, outgoing girl who loves both people and other dogs. She has done well with her canine friends and would love to have another young, playful, energetic dog in her forever home who can keep up with her and be her full-time playmate. She could also do well as an only dog as long as her family is committed to keeping her well-socialized and giving her plenty of opportunities to interact with other dogs. With her people, Lena is basically a professional cuddler. She loves being close, climbing into your lap, and rolling over for belly rubs. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing and would make an amazing little sidekick. Lena is looking for an active, outgoing family who wants to take their dog places and make her part of the adventure. Walks, hikes, outings, exploring new places, and all the fun everyday adventures are exactly what this girl is looking for. She has plenty of energy and would love a family who can give her an engaging lifestyle that keeps both her body and her social butterfly personality happy. Lena has not been tested with cats. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, adventurous dog who will happily go from belly rubs to adventures and back again, Lena may be your perfect match! Lena is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $550.

Story
HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPOR SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey-a! I’m Mario. I may be a little guy, but I’ve got a big heart, lots of love to give, and I’m very ready for my happily ever after. I came to rescue from a crowded shelter where I was running out of time, but thankfully I got my second chance. I’m a super friendly boy who loves meeting people. New friends? Amazing. Familiar faces? Even better! I’m always happy to see you and usually come with a wagging tail and cheerful little smile. I really just enjoy being part of the fun and close to my people. I also get along with other dogs and currently share my kennel area with 3 other dogs. I do especially well with female dogs, though, because I can sometimes get a little bossy with other boys. What can I say? I like to think I’m in charge sometimes. But overall, I’m still a very good boy and do just fine with proper introductions and respectful dog friends. I’m not sure how I do with cats or young kids yet, but I’ve shown everyone here what a sweet, happy companion I can be. I’m neutered, 4dx negative, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. I'm also current on proheart 12 and bravecto, so I’m all set and ready to start my next adventure with a family of my own. All I need now is someone to love me forever. Adoption fee: $300 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org Mario is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 21, 2026, 4:09 pm
