Story
Meet Molly (you may remember her as “Rita”) – a gorgeous black Shar-Pei with a heart full of love and just enough wrinkles to prove she’s wise beyond her years. Through some very sad circumstances, Molly has found her way back to Pei People, this time with her brother, Baron, by her side. We promised her that this next chapter will be the one where she finally finds her forever. Molly is a sweet, slightly timid girl who tends to favor women at first—but don’t worry, gentlemen, she just needs a little extra time to warm up. She was deeply attached to her previous mom and is already showing brave progress in bonding with her foster mom. With patience, kindness, and a few snacks, she’ll be your loyal shadow in no time. Like many Shar-Pei, Molly has a few skin issues, but this girl takes it all in stride. She hops right into the shower for her medicated baths like a pro, happily soaking up the extra scratching and lathering—it’s basically spa day in her eyes! Molly may be petite in confidence right now, but her love is enormous. With a gentle hand and a big heart, she’ll reward her forever family with loyalty, snuggles, and a daily dose of Shar-Pei charm.December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Hi, We have decided to give our dog for adoption because we will soon be renting somewhere else and we can’t bring him with us. It breaks our hearts to have to make this decision but we can’t find any other solution. Panchito is 7 years old, loves with all his heart to play ball he is obsess for balls. He still has a lot of energy for his age but also likes to chill on the couch or on his bed. His potty train, and will let you know definitely when he needs to go outside to do his business. He is a very smart, and playful dog, good with kids and other dogs. We pray with all of our heart someone can give him a home full of love just like he deserves it.

Story
Meet Dolce — Sweet by Name, Sweet by Nature     Fostering in Phoenix AZ   Dolce truly lives up to her name — she’s the definition of sweet! This lovely girl has had a bit of a rollercoaster journey and somehow found herself in need of rescue twice. We like to think we’re pretty great at screening adopters, but clearly, Dolce slipped through the cracks — and we’re determined to get it right this time!   She’s wonderful with other dogs and has previously lived with kids. We’re not sure about cats yet, but she’s such a gentle soul we wouldn’t be surprised if she did just fine with a proper introduction. She is amazing with big and small dogs. Her BFFs are a malinois and a shitzu.    Dolce is healthy overall, though she’s working on shedding a few extra pounds (aren’t we all?). She walks nicely on a leash, rides like a champ in the car, and has great house manners. This girl adores her walks and will go for miles if you are up for it! This girl has amazing skills at making you feel safe in your own home! There are zero worries you will ever have anyone in your backyard without this girl letting you know.  Have we mentioned how much she loves water? Zero fear of the pool in fact looks at the pool as her own very large water bowl. She will also jump right in the shower with you if given the opportunity.      Her only “flaw”? She doesn’t have that classic Shar Pei look — but what she lacks in wrinkles, she makes up for in personality and heart.   She’s scheduled for her wellness check and bloodwork soon, but from what we can see, her eyes and ears are in great shape — no entropion and wide open ear canals!   If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion with a dash of sass and a whole lot of sweetness, Dolce might just be your girl  December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Meet Butkus....yep he is definitely not a shar pei. Call it a moment of weakness but seriously how could we let this guy get euthanized over some pretty breed specific medical issues which happen to be right up our alley in the shar pei world. Butkus might be the happiest boy ever. He loves everyone. His tail never stops wagging or what whatever you call that little nub.  Thank God he is cute and sweet because this guy is not the brightest bulb on the tree. So if you are the person who likes your dogs good looking and sweet and not concerned if they never figure out how to sit this is your guy! He loves car rides but so far is not a fan of walking but we are convinced with the help of Bertha he will realize how much he loves it. He is a good sized boy at 58lbs. He was seen by our vet yesterday and like Bertha did have decreased tear production in both eyes. He will need his cherry eyes addressed at time of surgery. His skin is already improved with regular bathing. Fostering in phoenix AZDecember 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Honey (she goes by Dolce, but we have another dog also with that name) came from a home with far too many dogs that overwhelmed the owner. Honey is 43 pounds, is recently spayed and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Honey is being treated for an ear infection, and is on some high quality food and fish oil to clean up her skin. She is a typical female, who can get a little growly around strangers poking and prodding (not a fan of the vet but manageable), but has lived with other dogs and kids with no issues. Her coat is cleaning up slowly with good food and some antibiotics. She came to us with a pretty patchy coat. Honey is the princess, preferring inside to out (she is completely housetrained, but just doesn't want to hang out in the yard otherwise). She is quiet, not a big barker and likes to give kisses and hugs. Honey is fostering in the Indio, California area. If you are looking for a pair, Royce came from the same home.December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Camilla is a gorgeous cream shar-pei mix and this girl landed in the shelter after being abandoned in an RV with other dogs. Cami has lived with other dogs, but we've found she would do best as an only dog or a with neutral or submissive male dogs. She is very good with people, and apparently has seen the world (or maybe US) by car/travel. Camilla is about 4 years old, is spayed and had entropion eyelid surgery and has all her vaccines and a microchip. She is about 45 pounds. She is fostering in the San Francisco area and we will post more as we learn it.December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm
