Story
Meet Donette: Your Wrinkly Walking Companion! Looking for a leash-walking superstar with adorable rolls for days? Say hello to Donette, a charming shar-pei who's ready to trot into your heart! This spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated lady has mastered the art of the neighborhood stroll—though fair warning, she's got some serious prey drive when it comes to cats on the run! What Makes Donette Special: • __Perfect Leash Manners__ (after the initial excitement wears off!) • __Crate Trained Pro__ – sleeps like a dream and eats her meals politely in her den • __Gentle Treat Taker__ with zero food aggression • __Easy-Going for Grooming__ – ears, paws, tail? No problem! • __Dog-Friendly__ (with proper introductions) and currently living harmoniously with other pups. She much prefers the calmer dogs in the home and avoids the rambunctious puppish dogs (so annoying!) Donette's Dream Home: This sweet girl thrives in a calm, adult-only household where she can decompress and build confidence at her own pace. She's still learning that toys are fun and would love a patient family who understands that unpredictable movements and loud noises make her nervous (hence no small kids). Give her space around her head, and she'll reward you with loyalty and companionship! __Ideal Match:__ Adults or older kids only, no small children, cat-free home, patient dog lovers who appreciate a work-in-progress with tons of potential! She is probably a one person dog. Ready to give Donette the peaceful, loving home she deserves? She's waiting to meet you! She is fostering in Southern California (San Bernadino county).December 27, 2025, 7:39 am

Story
Darlene was surrendered to the shelter when her owners could no longer care for her. She was living with 2 other dogs and is good with new dogs. Darlene lived with kids and is housetrained, affectionate and well-mannered. Darlene will bark at strangers and sounds the alarms for deliveries. She is 49 pounds, and we are working on cleaning up some skin issues (high quality food and fish oil, with an exam scheduled at vet). She is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She is fostering in southern Riverside County, Calif.January 14, 2026, 8:13 pm

Story
Meet Turbo – Your Future Best Friend! Turbo is an 8-month-old cream-colored Shar Pei mix with the softest coat and the sweetest soul. At around 50 pounds, this lovable pup is still just a baby at heart – playful, social, and full of goofy charm. He absolutely adores other dogs and kids, and he’ll thrive in a home with canine buddies to play and cuddle with. This is the dog that will love your kids as much as you do! He will be there to cuddle with them on their toughest day! He would love to be on the sideline cheering when they score their first goal or home run  of the season.   Turbo’s previous owner cared deeply about him and made the tough decision to surrender him so he could get the eye care he needs. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and more than ready to meet his forever family.   &#226&#156&#168 Special Needs, Special Pup: Turbo has a condition called Corneal Endothelial Dystrophy, which causes cloudiness in the eyes as certain cells slowly die off over time. While there’s no cure and his vision may gradually decline, his current vision is still good, and daily eye drops (about $20/month) can help slow the progression. The condition is not painful, and he’s a happy, active boy – just needs a little extra love and care!   Turbo is currently fostering in Riverside, CA, and he’s looking for a family who’ll see how amazing he is – eye drops and all. Could that be you?   Great with dogs Great with kids Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped &#239&#184&#143 Needs daily eyedrops (non-painful condition)   Apply to meet Turbo – because this sweet, squishy boy is ready to run straight into your heart!  December 1, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Katie. I own a professional dog training company and am helping a surrendered client find the right long-term home. Azula is a 1-year-old Siberian Husky–Staffy mix with a big heart and an easy-going, affectionate personality. She is playful, smart, social, and loves being part of the family. She enjoys activity and learning but also knows how to settle and relax.Azula loves other dogs and puppies and is very friendly. Because she’s young and enthusiastic, she can sometimes have pushy boundaries, so she does best with guidance during play. She has also been great with my 3-year-old daughter and has shown appropriate, gentle behavior around children.Azula has already experienced two homes due to personal emergencies, through no fault of her own. She deserves stability and a lifelong commitment. A rehoming fee, references, a home check, and a return-to-me contract are required to ensure her safety. If you believe you may be a good match, please reach out!!!

Story
Dexter is about 9 years old, very friendly and howls when it's time to eat and go on a walk. That's when he really comes alive. Dexter was relinquished to our rescue by his prior owner. Dexter walks 2 miles/day, but is a couch potato the rest of the day. He gets along with other dogs, cats and humans. He loves his treats, and knows commands like sit, give me your paw, come, lie down. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, deflead. If you would like to meet him in La Mesa, feel free to email us.

Story
Montana is a gorgeous, midsized Heeler mix who is the smartest pup this side of the Mississippi. She is ridiculously loyal to her people and gets the full body wiggles when you walk in that door. She is currently being fostered with several other dogs and is the welcoming committee. She is absolutely wonderful with all dogs. She is not alpha nor submissive, she is just fun and even the grumpiest of dogs end up playing with her. She would love an active home that offers regular walks, hikes or beach days. She is house trained and listens intently. She has gone through obedience training. She also loves to snuggle and chill on those rainy days.
