Story
Luna is the rescues longest resident. As a young puppy Luna was sent to a board n train where harsh methods were used and her trust in humans was completely destroyed. She was flown down to us from a shelter in San Jose in the hopes we could work with her and get her to the point of being able to safely be adopted out. Luna has definitely been a labor of love but she is ready for a home of her own now. She has perfect house manners and is completely house broken. She walks beautifully on a leash and participates in our pack walks where she solicits love and attention from everyone. On the homefront she can be protective but she is a corso, and this is to be expected. She’s been fostered with both dogs and cats and with proper introductions would easily be able to live with other pets. She’s never had an altercation with any animal. She really needs a home with someone who understands the breed and loves cuddling with their pup as she’s a huge cuddler.

Story
Blazin' straight into your heart! Hey guys! I am Blaze and yep I am shining bright! I am3 years old, 39 lbs,  a male neutered Lab-Cattledog mix. I came from Los Adoptables in Mexico and I know I am about to find my pawfect family here! I am fully bathroom trained and good with crate led into it gently with a leash. And then I settle down quickly! I still get a bit leash reactive on walks but I have come a LONG WAY with redirection and treats and positive reinforcement. I am a sweet boy who is super friendly! I am just brimming with affection and get so cuddly with my people and my foster doggie sibling. I love to play and once tuckered out, it's time for our cute snuggles. I can have quite a bit of energy and playfulness. I really do love being with dogs and thrive with them. I rarely bark and love being a quiet lil shadow to people. I am a no-no about cats. I would rather be in an adults and teens only home to have calmness and my space. I am skittish with sudden noises and a mellow home would be nice. I would just fit right in into any active home where I can have a lot of fun and infinite cuddles with belly rubs. I would be my best with doggie siblings, playing with them and getting my energy out, but I can fly solo with playdates too. I can be left alone at home, but I do need 2 hours of exercise(mental/physical) to thrive. If you think we would shine brighter than the sun together, we must meet up! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##1733854##

Story
Age: 9 years old Gender: Male Breed: Shih Tzu mix Weight: 26 lbs Personality: Yuki is wary of strangers but will warm up to people with a bit of chicken and patience on the human's side. Yuki is a mellow guy who loves to nap next to you and lounge in the sun. Yuki is content to sleep the day away near his person but is also up for playing with stuffed animals and fetching! Yuki does well on leash but is quick to warn you that strangers are nearby. He has some barrier frustration, but is generally very easy going once he has warmed up to you. He loves going for car rides and is a great passenger, although drive thru cashiers may be startled at his sudden alerting. Yuki does well with other dogs. He is polite enough to leave old grumpy dogs alone but will play with young energetic pups. He does not resource guard his person, but does show some food guarding tendencies. It would be safest to feed separately. Needs a home with no children or older children who will treat him with respect and give him space as needed. If you have some chicken and just two days of patience, you will be rewarded with so much love. Yuki is an easy dog, he is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He is generally a gentle, mellow guy with great house manners. He has a case of stranger danger, but can be redirected when he is reacting. Yuki loves hanging out with his human, but does well when left alone. He will sleep until you return and greet you wholeheartedly. Yuki takes a little bit to warm up to his person, but once you earn his trust, you will find that no one else will look at you with as much love in their eyes as Yuki.  Education: Good with bathroom and leash training Favorite Activities: Napping, cuddling, chewing tags and eyeballs off stuffed animals, fetch, sun bathing. He's also extremely dog friendly Looking for: A sweet person or family who can give him space, be patient with him and respect/ advocate for his boundaries while he learns to trust humans. Ideally older and respectful kids are ok, and so are dogs. He is currently taking Prozac (~$5-10 for a month's supply, depending on market value and where purchased) to successfully help manage his anxiety around new people.  Adoption Fee: $ 350 ##1592807##
