Story
Sheila is friendly, cuddly, funny and loves belly rubs. She is a relaxed dog. She gets along with everyone. Never has bit anyone. She has a microchip. She pees on a green grass pad I will send with new owner. She uses it and it is easy to clean, check out picture I took in gallery. She loves to sleep when the sun goes down. She loves having a little blanket to sleep on. I made her bed under my bed and she loves it. She gets complimented every where we go. She loves doggie parks and car rides. She is a silly dog. You will love her.I just want a home where she will be loved. She is good with all families, single owners and elderly.

Story
Pongo was left with me to watch him for an afternoon. The person never returned. Unfortunately I am unable to house him any longer in my small one bedroom condo. He's very sweet and is good with all people, children, cats and dogs. He is very smart, knows a few tricks like shake and lay down, etc. He is house broken on a pad if left all day. He loves his walk! He would really be a good match with any family, single person, or senior looking for companionship.

Story
Meet Alpine, an 18mo old AKC registered purebred white GSD. He has been with our family since he was 12wks old and loves running and playing with our young kids. He loves playing fetch, swimming, playing tug of war with a rope, being taught new commands, and patrolling our property. He would be perfect for someone with a place that needs to be protected and has plenty of space to run. He is good with other dogs and has not experienced cats that we know of. He is healthy and weighs 80 lbs, gaining a few pounds each month as he continues to grow. He has a lot of anxiety and requires a lot of patience and understanding. We are not in a rush to find another home for him and instead we want to have time to make sure he finds a family that will be the best fit for him. He would do well with a family who is able to be fully present with him. We are a military family and it's difficult to travel with his needs.

Daisy

American Pit Bull Terrier Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Daisy is almost 2 years old and is a very happy and energetic girl. She loves people and is very curious. She hasn't had a lot of time around kids, but she has been fine with them when she was with them. She loves the dog park, but would rather be with the humans than the other dogs. She is not aggressive; she just loves attention from people. We got Daisy from the Humane Society of San Diego when she was about 8 weeks old. She had a severe head injury when she was only about 2 weeks old, and she has some neurological effects from that injury. Her front legs are a little uncoordinated and not as strong as her back legs, so jumping up onto things can be difficult for her. She goes upstairs just fine, but she needs to take her time going back down. Her condition does not slow her down or impede her at all; she loves to play and run around! She does stumble a lot, but she has adapted wonderfully. Daisy needs a home where she can get a lot of time and attention from her humans.

Story
Sandi is a 7-year-old terrier mix that we adopted from Baja Dog Rescue in 2019. She is spayed, professionally trained, and very loyal to her people. She loves spending time outside, chasing lizards in the backyard, and these days is just as happy relaxing in the sun taking naps.Sandi is protective and territorial, so she does bark at strangers or activity around the house, but she responds well to her training and commands. She is great with other dogs but would do best in a home with adults or older children who understand dogs and boundaries. We want to be fully transparent that Sandi is anxious around small children. We believe she may have experienced abuse before we adopted her. She has shown aggressive behavior toward little kids in the past, although she has never bitten anyone. Because of this, we believe the safest and best fit for her would be a home without young children.

Story
Shima is a 3 year old male Shiba Inu, adopted from the Humane Society. He will need an active owner who is experienced in owning dogs. Shima loves to explore outside, he goes on runs with me and plenty of walks. The most he’s ran is 3 miles! If you would like a running partner, Shima is ready!A quirky trait of his is he will avoid any type of floor material that isn’t normal pavement I.e. manhole covers. Shima has improved tremendously with his leash manners and is easy to walk now. He does currently live with a dog, but I would recommend him going to a single dog household. It took him up to a year to live peacefully with the dog. That being said, he still needs work when seeing dogs on walks. He’s still a work in progress but he’s almost there! Shima at home LOVES to cuddle his person. He sleeps curled up next to me, he will lay down on my lap for pets, he does amazing with grooming. He is such an amazing dog!
