Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.    All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       March 7, 2026, 12:07 pm

Story
Meet Fables — a gentle soul with a story worth telling. Fables came to us after being found on HWY A-12, bravely wandering alongside two younger puppies who looked to her for guidance. Even in the toughest moments, she stayed patient and protective. Since arriving at the ranch, she’s shown us exactly who she is: a quiet hero with a heart full of love. This sweet girl gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a soft spot for playful pups. With people, she starts off a little shy — but once she trusts you, she blossoms. Fables just needs someone willing to move at her pace, offer kindness, and show her she’s finally safe. Her absolute favorite thing in the world? Walks. The moment you pick up the leash, she lights up, wagging her whole body with joy. Out on the trail, she becomes her best self: confident, curious, and genuinely happy. Fables is a medium-energy rescue dog who would thrive with a patient, understanding handler who can help her continue to build confidence. She’s the type of dog who will reward your compassion tenfold — with loyalty, gratitude, and those full-body wags that make every day brighter. If Fables sounds like the kind of dog you’d love to welcome into your heart and home, give the ranch a call today. She’s ready for her next chapter… she just needs someone willing to turn the page with her. Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog.
