Story
Murphy is a sweet 9-year-old mixed breed whom we adopted as a rescue puppy. She's been a wonderful companion and brings a lot of joy to our home. Now that we're retired, we're spending more time traveling, exploring the US by van. Unfortunately, Murphy isn't comfortable with van travel, so we're looking for a loving home where she'll receive plenty of affection, long walks, and outdoor adventures. Murphy adores being around people and children, and once she gets to know you, she's loyal and loving. She thrives in a peaceful setting and would be happiest as the only dog in the household, soaking up undivided attention and lots of cuddles. She prefers female companionship and can be hesitant with unknown men. She's healthy, weighs about 40 pounds, walks well on a leash, crate-trained, and is housebroken. Murphy would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys nature walks and hikes. We are committed to finding Murphy a family who will provide the loving home she deserves.

Story
Even though the weather is cold outside, Sunshine is still shining! This gorgeous 6 month old spayed female pup just arrived to our shelter and is so excited to find her home in the mountains. Sunshine loves EVERYONE and is very willing to please, although sometimes it can be hard to sit still for this energetic gal! Our friends at Rescued Pets Movement in New Mexico, where Sunshine came from told us: `She arrived as an unclaimed stray, but you would never know it with how confidently and lovingly she greets the world. Sunshine is a total social butterfly who adores other dogs and loves to play, chase, and share joyful moments with her canine friends. Tennis balls are her love language and fetch is her favorite game. If there is a yard involved, Sunshine is already smiling. She is food motivated, knows some basic obedience, walks well on leash, and appears to be potty trained, making her an easy and wonderful companion. Staff can’t get enough of her because she is such a very good girl with a playful heart and a gentle soul.Sunshine would thrive in a home with other dogs where she can play, learn, and shine even brighter. She is affectionate, fun loving, and always ready to be your new sidekick. Life really is better when you let a little Sunshine in.If you are looking for a dog who will bring smiles to your face, warm your heart, and brighten your world every single day, Sunshine is ready to be your new best friend. All she needs is a chance to glow. ??💛🐶`Sunshine is already spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed! This girl is going to be the ultimate mountain dog and we can`t wait to see what life has in store for her!

Story
Meet Ashleigh!Ashleigh is a stunning 2 year old bully breed-type mix who’s ready to find a family she can finally call her own! Sweet Ashleigh was adopted from our shelter a few months ago, but has recently returned when her new home was just not the right fit for her. Ashleigh first arrived at our shelter as a shy, shut down, and unsure stray; but with patience, compassion, and consistent love, she really opened up to our staff and volunteers and we saw a young pup who needed time and patience to teach a nervous girl that there really is some good in the world. Ashleigh has a gentle spirit and so much affection to give. Once she feels safe with you, she’ll happily share her soft snuggles, wagging tail, and even the occasional burst of playful zoomies! This girl loves her toys and is happy to play by herself (but would much rather play with you!) She’s done incredibly well with other dogs here at the shelter and may truly thrive with a friendly, confident canine companion to help guide her and keep her company. Miss Ashleigh will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. She does experience separation anxiety, so she’s looking for an experienced, patient home that can help her continue building confidence and feeling secure. A calm environment, possibly with another well-mannered friendly dog or a loving human who works from home, would be wonderful for her! At this time, because she can be anxious and easily overwhelmed, we think a home without young children would be the best fit for her. If you believe that the most meaningful relationships grow from understanding and gentle reassurance, Ashleigh might be the perfect match for you. Come meet this special girl and see just how rewarding it is to help a shy pup shine!Ashleigh is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines — she’s all set and waiting for her perfect forever home, we know her humans are out there waiting for her!

Story
Hi I’m Gertie! I’m a 9-year-old spayed female Dachshund mix weighing around 20lbs. I was found in Loveland as a stray, and when no one came looking for me there, the nice lady who found me brought me up to Frisco to find a new loving home. I am a very sweet and social gal who enjoys the company of dogs and people! I would describe myself as easy-going, I enjoy easy strolls through the neighborhood and just being included in what is going on. Please come and meet me, I know you will fall in love and give me a wonderful home!
