Story
Meet Bambi! Bambi is a gorgeous 1 year old spayed female large breed dog that was found as a stray in our county. She was very thin when she arrived to us and needed a lot of TLC. Bambi was very unsure of herself and her surroundings when she first arrived and it took us awhile to figure out her quirks. We are discovering that Bambi is an amazing dog with a silly personality and lots of energy! She has proven that she does well with other large dogs that share her energy level and will need a patient owner to continue her socialization. She prefers to meet dogs off leash as she has shown a bit of frustration when on leash which other dogs have found a bit intimidating. She loves to bound around the play area and will romp around for hours with her playmate but will then also enjoy a nap in the sun. At this time we do not recommend small dogs, cats or small children in Bambi's new home.We believe Bambi may have been an outside dog before coming to us and, due to her size, most likely has some working dog breeding and behavior. She is learning her basic commands and is figuring out the Gentle Leader and Easy Walk harness. She will need an owner that will continue with her training and give her the guidance she needs to excel. She wants to please and loves to receive praise. She is treat motivated and is always eager for her breakfast and dinner! If you are looking for a big, goofy dog that is smart and willing, Bambi might be the right fit for you! Please give us a call or stop by our shelter to meet this amazing girl. She may need a bit of work, but we think she is going to be a wonderful companion.

Story
Hi all, this is my dog Zeus! He’s a 6-7 year old GSD. He was rescued 3 years ago from an unsatisfactory situation from my buddy who worked for police and found him. As much as it does sadden me to put him up for adoption I simply cannot offer him the life that I originally planned to. With my work, lifestyle, and family he has been neglected in the attention department. And he needs and desires the attention. I am going to be extremely thorough with anyone that wants to offer this dog his forever home. Zeus needs an active owner, that can include him in that kind of lifestyle. Walks, jogs, hikes, camps, etc. he deserves that. He loves attention, he loves to be a companion. Truck rides, 4 wheeler rides, he just wants to be apart of it all. He has a big heart, and a lot of attention to give you as well. He really is a wonderful animal, and deserves the best. He does good with other dogs, can play pretty rough until corrected. Better with little dogs than big dogs.

Story
Beautiful Malaa came to us when her family could no longer care for her. She has quickly become a staff favorite and we are so excited to give this girl the opportunity to live a good and happy life. This 5 year old spayed female is learning to trust and feel safe. Malaa is a quiet girl who would love to have a home where she can lay in the grass and go on fun walks. Malaa has found out that she loves to play with toys and she loves to play fetch! We believe that she would prefer to be the only dog in the home and also would prefer a feline free household. Malaa can be a little uncomfortable with some other dogs, so a slow introduction to new furry friends is best. Malaa loves treats and pets and gives the sweetest tail wag when she knows you have something that is for her! Malaa is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and microchipped! She has been given the all clear by our vet and we can't wait to find this girl the home she deserves, come visit Malaa today!
