Story
When you get a call about a Scottish Terrier mix puppy needing a home, your ears perk right up — and honestly, ours perked up just like Baby Girl’s adorable little Scottie ears do now. This breed is rarely found in rescue, and this tiny dynamo is truly something special. Born on 10/31, she’s the daughter of a black Scottish Terrier dad and a mom said to be a Maltese, though you’ll be hard-pressed to find any Maltese influence in her looks. What you see is pure terrier confidence wrapped in a wiry little body. At just 8 pounds, she is compact, sturdy, and built like a tiny athlete — short legs, stocky frame, and strong as can be. We expect she’ll mature to around 15–18 pounds, but don’t let her size fool you. Baby Girl carries herself like she’s three times that weight. She fears nothing, especially not big dogs, and approaches life with bold curiosity and enthusiasm.   This girl is wicked smart. She’s already doing well with pee pads and understands going outside to potty. She’s learning leash walking — not her favorite activity yet — but with her intelligence and love of treats, she’ll master it in no time. She is very treat motivated, which makes training both fun and productive. In fact, she needs someone excited about channeling her bright little mind. Couch potatoes need not apply; this is a pup who wants to explore the neighborhood, meet people, and make you the most popular house on the block. At bedtime, her personality softens into pure sweetness. She loves sleeping in bed and will climb right up onto your pillow, settling in like your personal little “night hat.” She adores shaggy dog beds and has a hilarious habit of collecting unattended shoes and proudly storing them in her bed like trophies. When she plays with the Brussels Griffon in her foster home, she is dramatic and vocal — all noise and playful mouth, no biting — sounding like a 35-pound dog trapped in a tiny body. She’s fast, athletic, and would happily chase squirrels all day long, so early recall training will be important.   Her wiry coat may change in shading as she grows, but her confidence and spark are here to stay. Baby Girl is not just a puppy — she’s a personality, a conversation starter, and a whole lot of fun packed into a small, sturdy frame. If you’re ready for laughter, energy, and a smart little terrier spirit in your life, contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. She is ready to go and ready to claim her forever home.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 19, 2026, 12:17 am

Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.happy, handsome gentleman ISO his humans! WRIGLEY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Wrigley       Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd mix Best Guess for Age:  4 years as of February 2026       SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:  71 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Rural shelter - needs a forever home in the DC area to escape!   All about Wrigley:   Wrigley is a Very Good Boy who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, to know where he belongs. He is well out of the puppy yips and in his prime as an adult, and he's a great dog! This is what shelter staff say about him:'Wrigley is our gentle giant! Everyone who has met him has loved his 70+ pounds of happiness and attentiveness to humans. (People see him; people smile at him.) He was found as a stray on a country road, ribs protruding, with almost no meat on his bones. Despite very clearly not being fed properly, he always took food/treats gently from our hands.   Since being found, Wrigley has gained some much-needed weight and is quite the handsome fella! He always has a sunny personality and often seems to be smiling with his soft eyes. He enjoys going for leisurely strolls and frolicking in the yard. And balls! Wrigley has been very respectful with other dogs and plays well. Some dogs have been intimidated by his size and he tried to invite them to play with play bows. He will also invite your attention by laying a big paw on you.   Wrigley definitely loves being in your lap - so he's hoping for a home with an extra comfy sofa big enough for both of you!  Or, you can snuggle with him on his bed! This super-sized stunning boy is truly someone's dream dog.'   What do you say? Is he the one you see by your side? *Woof* I`m in a foster home. To meet me reach out to my foster caregiver at urbancaninetraining@gmail.comMabel and Dipper are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.Take home these sweethearts for a reduced adoption fee.Mabel and Dipper are the twins from the series Gravity Falls, and our canine counterparts are just as tightly bonded as these two. Just like the human twin, pup Mabel is a little energy bundle. Her tail can wag so fast when she is happy to see you that all you see is a blur! And happy that girl is very often! Dipper is a little more settled and curious, although his tail is a little wag machine as well. Mostly these two are happy little pups that cherish their human company and are always oh so happy to embark on walks together with their people and then some snuggle time. They went on a field trip recently and here are some highlights: `These are two of the friendliest dogs ever! They certainly have never met a stranger. They`re happy to see and greet and share their love with everyone they find, including kids, on walks. They jumped right into and out of my car and were so happy to go anywhere and do anything as long as they have each other. They are learning to `sit`. Dipper seems to be getting it, and Mabel is still learning-- they should do great with a little training and a little time/patience. They also totally ignored my 19-year-old cat (who I didn`t initially notice was in the rooms where they spent most of their time).`Their cute little faces have stolen many hearts here already. Is yours next?
