Story
If you think this fun and goofy girl is a fit for your family, and you've considered the expenses of a giant breed dog, please fill out an application at https://brokenheartsrescue.wixsite.com/mysite/general-6-1 NOT AT ADOPT A PET. MUST BE WITHIN 4HRS OF TWIN FALLS, IDAHO. Sometimes, we will recommend professional training when adopting a certain dog out, both to help them, (AND YOU) learn how to best integrate that dog into your home. Training forms a bond and creates solid communication with you and your new family member. Since coming back, Siri has completed professional training and received her Canine Good Citizenship. She now has a great foundation for her new family to build on. You don't happen upon a great dog. You become great with the dog. Siri is a 1 1/2 year old, 100lb, Great Dane who has been spayed, double cherry eyes fixed, and had gastropexy surgery to prevent her stomach from flipping, which can be common in giant breeds. She is 1000% goofy girl. Though she sounds tough with her deep bark, she is more likely to tuck tail and hide behind you if something is scary. In fact, her recent trip to the vet had her sitting on her foster mom's lap while getting her vaccines. 🤣 Water from a hose is so fun, until the hose turns on her, then it's a mad dash to run away, tripping over her feet as she goes. Siri loves car rides and hopes her new family will take her on many adventures. A lot of experiences are very new to her, but she wants to be by your side doing it together. Siri is a little bit of a drama queen if she wants to do something, like go for a walk and you tell her no. Like every child, she tends to voice her opinion on why life is not fair. I swear she knows what you are saying, and you can almost understand her side of the argument. Siri will need a family committed to keeping up with her training. She is so much better with her new skills and her family needs to know how to help her continue to be the best girl she can be. Her adoption fee is $300 to help cover her medical and training.

Story
MEET KILLUA (Ki-loo-ah, meaning “Son of Lightning”) ⚡️ Killua is a 3-year-old Boxer/Pittie mix that weighs 87 lbs and has been patiently waiting in rescue for nearly two years. It’s time this lovable boy finally finds his forever home—and whoever adopts him is truly hitting the jackpot! Killua is the perfect mix of goofy, affectionate, and old-soul charm. He’ll flash you the biggest smiles, then curl up next to you, gently placing his paw on your hand for affection. He loves chew toys, treats, and car rides (though he sometimes needs a little encouragement to hop in). He’s smart, playful, and full of personality—whether he’s chasing his brother around the yard, going for walks, or snuggling after playtime. Killua would love to be adopted with his brother, Knightwing, but he can also thrive on his own with another playful dog. •Could do well with older, gentle children (but not toddlers—he’s a big guy and might knock them over) •Does best in a home without cats or small animals •Curious on walks, still improving his leash skills •House-trained and enjoys time both indoors and outdoors •A fenced yard would be ideal One sweet moment: during a walk, a young girl offered him a treat—he gently and politely accepted it. That’s Killua’s heart in a nutshell—big, gentle, and full of love.

Story
MEET TONNIE! Tonnie is a 2 year old Australian Kelpie mix looking for her furever home through PAWS Rescue, Inc. Tonnie is a sweet spirit. She loves to play with other dogs or alone with her toys. She enjoys a good walk or playing in the yard. One of her favorite things is to grab a drink as the water flows from the hose. Tonnie can be shy at first and needs someone who will be patient with her. She takes her time getting to know people, but once she feels safe, she's very affectionate. She loves back scratches, belly rubs, and snuggling up to watch TV. She loves treats and has a very soft approach to taking them. She knows the sit command and has good recall (most of the time!!) She's done very well at the dog park and at Club Hound. She seems to enjoy off-leash time with other dogs but has done well with pack walks, too. She hasn't spent a lot of time with my cat but appears to be non-reactive. She does have some visual impairment, which affects her very little. It's almost unnoticeable at home, but she occasionally runs into things if she's in unfamiliar territory. It has been a real pleasure fostering her and watching her blossom. We think she will make someone a great companion. Help our sweet Tonnie find her forever home!

MEET MILO! 🐾 Milo is a 6-year-old Chihuahua/Beagle mix weighing 22 lbs, looking for his forever home through PAWS Rescue Inc. This little guy is as loyal as they come — he just wants to love and be loved in return. His foster mom says if he had a nickname, it would be “Tape,” because he loves to stay close and connected to his person. Milo knows his basic commands like come, stay, and no. He’s both kennel-trained and house-trained and does well with other dogs. He’s still learning that cats are friends, but he’s getting there! Milo is a bit shy at first and may take a few days to bond, but once he trusts you, he’s the sweetest companion. He likes to alert you when someone’s at the door and will bark until he feels comfortable and safe with new visitors. Car rides make him a little nervous, but with patience and reassurance, he’s improving. *Fenced yard required*

Story
🚩ASH NEEDS AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER🚩 PAWS Rescue, Inc. MEET ASH💙 Ash is a young Border Collie mix, about 7 months old, with lots of energy who loves to play. He’s a smart boy who learns quickly, though he can be a little stubborn at times. Ash is crate trained at night and does fairly well in the crate during the day. He is food motivated and making great progress with house training. Because of past trauma and being very underweight when found, he can show some resource guarding, so separate feeding is needed. Ash’s Ideal Foster or Adoptive Home • No cats — he’s curious and likes to chase • Larger dogs are okay; small dogs may be overwhelmed by his energy • Separate feeding required • Loves being with his people and may do playful nipping when excited (typical Border Collie behavior) • Needs an active home with a fenced yard so he has room to run and play. Ash is a fun, energetic pup who will thrive with structure, activity, and love.

Story
🏛️ MEET ATHENA Goddess of Sass, Destroyer of Squeaky Toys 🐾 Are you ready to bow down to royalty? Because Athena isn’t just any dog — she’s a Central Asian Shepherd, two years young, and 100% majestic drama queen. Once found alone in a field, Athena has traded survival mode for diva mode. She’s finally learning what it means to be a dog: humans bring snacks, the TV is a loud and unnecessary invention, and toys need to be conquered. ✨ Athena’s Divine Decrees: • Other dogs? Hard pass. She’s not here to make canine friends — she’s here to reign as your one and only. • A people person (YES!) — Once she trusts you, she’s all in: affectionate, goofy, and full of personality. She’s blossoming with love, trust, and a growing appreciation for providing the fastest death in the west for any squeaker in range. • Big brains & big personality — She’s smart, inquisitive, and always ready to side-eye your life choices. • Pet me. Now. And again. Forever. Once the petting starts, it may never be allowed to stop. She’s not clingy — she’s just enforcing the royal Velcro dog decree. • Mealtime must be fit for Mount Olympus. Despite a life without regular meals, Athena now expects each dish to be prepared with the spirit of Gordon Ramsay himself. Kibble? Acceptable — only when topped with canned chicken, wet food, or whatever meats and veggies her loyal foster chefs can produce. Athena needs a dog-savvy, patient human who can set boundaries, provide structure, and worship her appropriately (treats and compliments encouraged). She's not for the faint of heart, but if you love a dog with opinions, she’ll be your fiercely loyal ride-or-die. 📍 Currently interviewing for her forever human and is accepting applications from worthy mortals. Apply to adopt your queen today. https://airtable.com/shruiSsLG91YgyyJe Athena’s adoption fee is $325 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccines, dewormers and training. Thank you Heather Scott and Geoff for fostering and loving this sweet girl so fiercely. *Fenced yard required *Only animal in the home -Location - Boise ID (2 Training sessions will be provided in Boise by her trainer for the adopter)
