Story
Meet Indy – The Spirited Little Kelpie with a Big Heart At just 3 years old and around 40 pounds, Indy may be small in size, but she’s bursting with personality, intelligence, and love. This Kelpie–Cattle Dog mix is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate — a lively companion who adores her people and thrives on interaction. Indy is currently in private training to help fine-tune her manners and work on her prey drive, and she’s making wonderful progress. She’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and food-motivated, which makes training sessions a joy. This sweet girl loves: Running the fence line and chatting with the neighbor dogs through the knotholes (she’s a social butterfly!). Helping in the garden, where she proudly “hunts” grasshoppers and voles — it’s her version of pest control! Watching out the window while you’re away, then greeting you like it’s been years, even if you just took the trash out. Playing with kids — she adores them and has a fun, gentle energy that matches well with families. Indy is well-behaved in the home, even when left alone, and though she isn’t crate-trained, she doesn’t need to be. She’s doing great with her basic commands and is learning better leash manners — a gentle over-the-nose leash helps her walk beautifully. She enjoys playing with other dogs but can be selective, so slow, proper introductions are key. Due to her background and instincts, she should avoid German Shepherds, as that’s one breed she doesn’t get along with well. Indy’s Ideal Home: A family with children or active adults who love to engage with their dog A secure fenced yard to explore and play Possibly a compatible dog companion (with good intros!) Someone patient and consistent who will continue her positive training Her Story Before rescue, Indy was a working ranch dog who’d fallen on hard times. Injured and pregnant, she was left to fend for herself outdoors through harsh winter conditions. She was found having dug a hole in the frozen ground to shelter her seven pups — Pearl, Opal, Jade, Arrow, River, Ash, and Archer — keeping them warm until help arrived. Her strength and devotion saved them all. Now, safe and healed, Indy is thriving in her foster home in Kimberly, Idaho, and is so ready for her forever family. Her foster loves her dearly and is even sponsoring 50% of her adoption fee to help her find the perfect match. DESPERATE PLEA – END-OF-LIFE FOSTER OR ADOPTION NEEDED FOR TROY & TARYN We are urgently searching for a compassionate foster or adopter willing to open their heart and home to two senior dogs who may be nearing the end of their lives and deserve comfort, dignity, and love after unimaginable neglect. Troy and Taryn were found living in substandard conditions, suffering from severe malnutrition and starvation. Their bodies show the toll of prolonged neglect. One of them, Troy, had a stomach full of socks—so many that he was passing them for over a week, a heartbreaking sign of extreme hunger and desperation. Both dogs are elderly pit bull–type mixes, estimated to be 12 and 13 years old. Despite everything they’ve endured, they are friendly, loving, and deeply human-oriented. However, due to their history and age, they have understandable resource guarding and must be the only pets in the home. They should not be placed with other animals. They are currently still hospitalized at the veterinary clinic, receiving ongoing treatment. One or both may be suffering liver damage as a result of prolonged dehydration and starvation. Their future is uncertain—but what is certain is that they should not spend whatever time they have left in a kennel or hospital run. About the dogs: Taryn – Black and white, approximately 13 years old (the elder) Troy – Brown, approximately 12 years old (the one who ingested the socks) Both are affectionate, people-loving seniors Must be only pets due to age and resource guarding Ideal for a quiet, stable home willing to provide comfort care This is not a “fix them” situation. This is a plea for kindness, compassion, and a soft place to land. Whether it’s weeks or months, Troy and Taryn deserve to feel safe, warm, and loved. If you can open your home for foster or adoption, please apply immediately at: www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.net If you cannot help directly, please share. The right person is out there—and these two cannot wait.

Story
ADOPTION PLEA – RICHIE RICH FOUND IN RICHFIELD A BORDER COLLIE PUP NEEDS A SAFE HOME This young border collie puppy is alive today because a volunteer stepped in just in time. A rancher in Richfield posted that a puppy had been found chasing horses and was in danger of being shot. One of our volunteers immediately intervened and secured him before something irreversible happened. He is now safe and currently in a foster home. About him: Name: Richie Rich Approximately 9 months old Male, not yet neutered Has received his first vaccination Timid and shy, but gentle Gets along very well with other dogs Will need a patient, understanding home to continue building confidence This is a young dog who has already learned that the world can be dangerous. He is not bold or pushy—he is quiet, sensitive, and still learning to trust. With the right adopter, he has the potential to become a loyal, devoted companion. A home familiar with herding breeds or willing to give him time, structure, and reassurance would be ideal. To apply for adoption, please submit an application at: www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.net If you cannot adopt, please share his story so we can help him find the safe future he deserves.

These resilient girls have clearly been through a lot, and now they’re searching for a loving foster or forever home where they can stay together and feel safe again. These girls are: Bonded and inseparable Loyal, playful, and curious Small, scruffy, and full of personality Cautious at first, but warm up with time and love They’ll need a little patience and a gentle hand as they adjust, but once settled, they’ll reward you with double the love and twice the joy. Story
Meet Ryder – The Smart, Snuggly Scholar with a Heart of Gold Ryder is a one-of-a-kind mix — part Australian Kelpie, American Bully, and a splash of Cattle Dog — and somehow, all heart. At about 1.5 years old, he’s a handsome, athletic boy with the intelligence of a herding breed and the loyalty of a Bully. Though he’s larger than most of his lineage, he’s as gentle as they come and loves nothing more than being close to his people. When Ryder first came into rescue, he was a bit unsure of himself. He had always looked to his older housemates for cues on how to act, drawing comfort from their calm confidence. Being out on his own was intimidating. But through private training sessions at Saragold, Ryder has blossomed — and now, he looks to his handler for guidance with focus and trust. At his most recent adoption event, Ryder was the picture of composure — a true gentleman, walking beautifully on leash, greeting other dogs with excitement and good manners, and showing everyone just how far he’s come. Ryder’s Highlights: Excellent leash manners – heels perfectly and stays attentive to his person Fully housebroken and crate trained – uses the doggy door like a pro Treat-motivated and fast learner – mastered “touch” and “place” by watching others Calm, affectionate, and people-focused – a real cuddler who loves being close Great with other dogs and even cats, sharing toys and space with ease Playful but thoughtful – loves fetch, squeaky toys, and even watching Lassie and Pup Academy! Loves water, though he’s more of a splash artist than a swimmer — he’ll stick his whole face in the kiddie pool just for fun! Ryder doesn’t resource guard, has a wonderful temperament, and learns quickly by observing. His confidence has grown tremendously — he’s now relaxed, affectionate, and eager to please. Because of his Bully side, Ryder is mainly an indoor dog, as these breeds are sensitive to temperature extremes. Ryder’s foster is very attached to him and wants to see him continue to thrive in a home that will cultivate his intelligence, continue his training, and give him the love and consistency he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and goofy best friend who’s come into his own and just wants to share life by your side, Ryder is your guy.
