Story
Meet Miss Cooper! Miss Cooper is a sheltie mix with a bundle of love and expertise to share. At 13 years old, she has learned a lot of life lessons and has become an expert napper. Cooper’s motto: “Life is short, nap often.” This sweet old lady is looking for a cozy retirement home to call her own. Cooper would love a place where she can snooze throughout the day and enjoy the finer things in life. She is a very chill dog and likes to take things easy. She loves laying in front of a fan on hot summer days. Sometimes you’ll catch her squeaking her favorite piggy toy while you snack, as if she’s asking you to share. Cooper walks well on a leash and also enjoys taking small strolls throughout the neighborhood (at her pace). She is crate trained and potty trained. She also does just fine free roaming the house. Cooper gets along well with other dogs, cats, and does not mind kids. Cooper is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heart-worm negative, and on regular heartworm prevention.Ready to be Cooper’s retirement home? Story
🐾Chewy🐾   🐾Little man Chewy is a 10 year old pug/chihuahua mix that needs a special home. He gets along with other dogs and cats, but is not usually interested in playing with them. He prefers people, especially someone that will become his person. Young children are not recommended. He must be handled respectfully, and on his terms. He will come to you when he wants petted, to get belly rubs, and sit on your lap. 🐾Chewy is on anxiety medication, and will need to continue it to help him stay his happy self. He needs a home that will allow him to live out his life in comfort.    🐾Chewy knows how to use a doggie door. He will crate for treats. He prefers to sleep next to his human. He walks on leash and loves car rides. When on leash, a halter is recommended, pulling on a collar makes him cough. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on yearly heartworm prevention, and is microchipped. He is ready for adoption now!If you are interested in adopting Chewy, please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. Story
Hi Everyone. My name is Puffer....or should I say SuperPuffer!!!I am a 16-17 pound terrier mix and I'm 2.5 years old. My foster mama says that I have super powers...lots of them!Like...I can destroy a stuffy faster than a speeding bullet! I can devour my treats in a blink of an eye! I can almost fly onto your lap to give you lots of love! You don't need xray vision to see the love I have to give! Not only that...I'm super smart! I have excelled at potty training and crate training and walk great on a leash!I'm such a good boy. I love playing with all kinds of toys and chew bones. I'm good with kids and other dogs. I've not been cat tested...but since I'm not that much bigger than your average cat, I'm sure I would try to be friends with them. I do need a doggie companion - after all, what is a superhero without his sidekick! I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on my distemper combo, rabies and bordatella vaccinations, heartworm tested negative and on monthly prevention and dewormed. If you're looking for a superhero dog to call your own...I'm the one!Just head over to www.pawsofadamscounty.com to submit an adoption application.
