Story
Bentley is a great dog. Very loyal. Bentley would do best in a single dog family as he does not get along with other male dogs. Bentley gets a long well with female dogs as well as cats. Bentley will need groomed every 6-8 weeks as he does have the curly poodle hair. We have to rehome Bentley because he does not get along with our other male dogs whom we have had since birth. We got Bentley when he was 4 months old. I do have the contract from the breeder with date of birth and purchase date.

Story
Callie is a 5 year old Pomsky. She is a beautiful red merle color with blue eyes. She weighs 25 lbs but needs to lose a little weight. We rescued her from the Mercer County Pound and she's now in foster care doing well. She loves other dogs and housetrained. Callie tends to love women and is a bit shy of men. She gets along great with all kids though. Callie has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention. If you'd like to adopt Callie when she's ready for adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.aplmercer.com. Adoption fee is $300

Lacy

Beagle

Female, Young
Celina, OH
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We adopted Lacy from a shelter in July 2025 - they thought she was about a year and full grown, some sort of beagle mix. She was much smaller and a little shy, and shadowed our senior dog wherever she went. When she went to get spayed and shots, the vet said she was not a year and was going to get much larger (and oh boy, they were right). As Lacy has grown, she has become an out-going, loving, high-energy giant. She adores people and attention, loves chewies and toys, goes crazy for the dog park to play with other dogs. But she does not like to share with other dogs at home. Lacy gets very jealous of our senior dog, Luna, and will growl and bark at Luna whenever she tries to come close to "Lacy's" chewies or people. Lacy is looking for an indoor home where she will be the only dog, get lots of love, lots of chewies, and have a human to cuddle and sleep with.

Story
Harley and her mother were abandoned with a friend of my aunt who couldn't take care of them long term. We took Harley not understanding how active she would be. We have two other dogs that she gets along with well. However, she needs a more active household. She is very loving and cuddly. She likes to jump, climb and chew. She does not like to share her toys.

Grace is a gentle and shy shepherd mix who is still finding her footing in the shelter environment. She’s a sensitive soul who feels nervous around new people and unfamiliar surroundings, so she’s taking her time to adjust. Grace is learning to trust again and would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and loved. This special girl needs someone who understands that building trust takes time and who is willing to give her the gentle care and reassurance she deserves. With kindness and patience,Grace will slowly open her heart and show you the loyal, loving companion she truly is!The shelter can be reached at 937-498-7201 to schedule a time to meet. Or please feel free to come in during business hours. The shelter is open Monday-Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9am-1pm. Open kennel hours are Monday-Friday 12-4 and Saturday by appointment.
