Story
14 month old English Labrador retriever. Purchased from a breeder at 8 weeks old. A very good boy. Has completed basic obedience training and is fully house trained and crate trained. Has a playful personality. Has never shown a sign of aggression, but he has not interacted with another dog since his litter mates. Still working on manners, can jump up to new people out of excitement. Loves walks and car rides. I adore this dog, but my work hours have changed causing him to be crated for 10 hours a day, which isn't fair to him.

Story
Have you ever seen such a handsome dog? This is Silas! Silas was found running as a stray a couple weeks ago and was never reclaimed by his previous humans. We are guessing him to be around 3 years old and he's as healthy as a horse! Silas can be cautious when meeting new people and does best with slow, easy introductions. Based on his reactions to the other dogs, introductions with them will also have to be slow. We think he would do best in a home with older children and needs his boundaries respected. He's an extremely smart dog and has been easy to get into a routine here at the shelter with, so any additional training at home should be a breeze!Due to his past, we would need for Silas to go to a home with a securely fenced yard or someone that's willing to walk him daily. He's a boy that is going to need a fair amount of exercise and something to keep his brain busy if he's to be left home for long periods of time. **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. He weighs 82 lbs**

Story
Introducing Miss Nala!Nala and her sister (Moo, also available for adoption!) were born here at FDHS back in November of 2023 and were adopted out together. Due to no fault of their own, the girls have found themselves back in our care and are looking for their own forever families. Nala can be a little timid with new people but turns into the silliest, most sweet girl once she gets to know you. She's got a very friendly demeanor and would blend in great to most types of homes. She keeps a clean space and is eager to please her humans. This wiggly lovebug is SO ready to meet her forever family and fall in love. **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. She weighs about 66 lbs.**

Story
Meet Miss Moo!This spotted girl was actually born here at FDHS a little over a year ago. Moo and her sister (Nala, also available!) were adopted out together and were unfortunately returned due to no fault of their own. Both girls are still adjusting to the shelter environment and can initially be pretty shy. Once they warm up, they are total cuddlebugs and are very affectionate.Moo is pretty mild-mannered and seems to do well with other animals. As always, we would prefer to do a Meet & Greet with any other dogs in the home. She has done great with kids and would likely make a wonderful addition to most families. She seems to do okay on leash and loves to play out back in the fenced yard.If you think Moo sounds like a good fit for you, get your adoption application in! **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. She weighs about 70 lbs.**

Story
Hello world! My name is Keanu Reeves (the dog version), but you can just call me Keanu! Although I'm not stealing the spotlight on the big screen, I am aiming to steal a spot on your couch!I was recently surrendered due to no fault of my own. I'm a little skinny and my hair is a bit of a wreck but the staff says I'm the most handsome young man! I just need a little extra care to get me to a healthy state. The staff was told that I'm about a year old and am some sort of mixed breed. I've got a lot of that goofy puppy energy to me but don't let that deter you, I've been excellent about keeping a clean space. And believe it or not, but I am actually capable of focusing if you have a yummy treat in your hand. With how happy and sweet I am, everyone thinks I would do completely fine living with kids or other animals. With some attention, training and lots of love everyone says I'm going to be a superstar!
