Adoption Fee by donationJax is 3 years old. He's a very handsome fella who loves to play with other dogs and LIVES for fetch.  He is potty and kennel trained and does well going in the car too! He is a very friendly, happy boy.  He lived with older kiddos and has done okay with his fosters too! As long as they are old enough to be respectful of his boundaries he could absolutely live with kids.     Jax loves attention. He would benefit from a country home so he can play fetch anytime he can talk you into it! Adoption Fee $200Leo has a tough story that unfortunately we will never have access to every chapter to. He is a 4-5 year old Cane Corso mix. We think. He was in Wichita on the euthanasia list for heartworms. He received treatment last spring and is heartworm NEGATIVE!! He was found as a stray last February and his owner did not reclaim him. Leo has exhibited a fair amount of fear reactivity. He bonds hard with the right person but he needs a routine. Change can be upsetting for anyone but it seems to hit a sensitive guy like this harder than usual. He needs to know what to expect. Leo NEEDS to be able to trust that you know better than he does. If you're uncertain, he is too. Leo is big on the communication scale. He is extremely expressive with his body language, eyes, ears, face, noises. He's giving us a lot of hints that people who hold things up in his direction are scary. People that corner him are very scary. I can't say I blame him obviously but it's been a long road to get to know him and gather information. Leo is looking for a specific stubborn, strong willed, kind, understanding person with no kids or animals. He has been indifferent towards many animals but within the home he is very protective of his things. He loves car rides, couch lounging and to sun bathe in the backyard. Adoption fee $160Peta is 1-2 years old. Not really sure what her past looked like but she was not in very good condition when she arrived. Now her hair is all grown back and she is doing great! So far this is what we have learned! She loves women, is intimidated and scared around men and children at first. She does learn to trust with time! She absolutely needs another dog or 3 in the home. She is currently being fostered in a pack of 3 and she LOVES playtime. She is a ball full of fun and learning so well how to lay down and chill as well! She is very smart and can learn anything you want her to! She does have a little separation anxiety, so sleeping in the bedroom even in a kennel is a must, and kenneling when her people are gone is suggested. Adoption fee $200 Athena proves how different dogs can act pending environmental or health changes. Athena loves to use her nose, she LOVES her people / family. She's made it clear shes not a "city" dog. She does far better in less traffic / less chaotic situations. She can also climb a tree or two. Athena has done great with me, my dad and my two sons. She has been fine with all of our barn cats. After an adjustment, she's done fine with dogs through neighboring fence lines as well. She has played well with two other dogs at separate times. Athena loves her treat puzzles and snuffle bowls. She loves having a routine and boundaries. She gets SO excited to see me and does the boot scoot zoomie across the yard.   Athena loves me so much that if I leave the yard with her in it, she climbs out. I would love to find her an understanding home without big dog park, visitor, leash walk expectations. She's completely content in her home and her backyard. Athena is ready for a foster or adopter!
