Lucy

Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Linwood, KS
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lucy is incredibly smart. She loves hard. Give the biggest hugs. She will even jump into your arms and be held like a baby. LOVES to play fetch. She could do that for hours. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and roll over. Not a very good walking dog. She plays very good with kids and most other dogs. She is the friendliest dog when you take her to dog play places. BUT she is very ornery. If she doesn’t want to listen she won’t listen. Since she has been outdoor kenneled for so long she is itching for freedom. Unfortunately due to our living situation and close quarters we cannot keep Lucy. We have all her paperwork. She is fine to stay with us for a while she is just having to be kept kenneled and not let out to run around or play as much as we know she deserves. Her smarts get her in trouble but if someone has time to spend with her she with be the most sweet loyal dog.

Unfortunately, we are looking to rehome Stetson. He is a one year old poodle husky mix. He has high energy, and lots of love. Does not shed. He is good with other dogs and kids. Comes vaccinated, and microchipped. Pickup is in Lawrence KS. The reason for rehoming is that we don’t have enough room to let him run around. Please reach out with any questions.

Story
Due to medical reasons I need to rehomed my beautiful, loving Gizmo. It breaks my heart but he deserves someone that can walk with and let him play outside in a yard. He needs some training with walking with a leash. He pulls a lot because he just wants to run and enjoy the outdoors. He is the biggest lover I have ever been around. Loves to cuddle Please help me find him a good loving home.

Story
"Trooper" had been a stray and we got him from the shelter. He was anxious and nervous at first, a bit scared and would slink away... but quickly warmed up and has been so loving and such a wonderful addition to the family. He's nearly 3 years old.Unfortunately, we're having to move to a smaller home and large dogs are not allowed. Housing is limited in Lawrence and we've not been able to find an alternative.Dad has had allergies to him as well, so the very difficult decision has been made to find Trooper a new home. So, he needs a good one. He's very loving, wants to be with you (at least near you) as much as he can. With a stern voice, he'll get down... but without, he'll try to sneak up onto your lap (like he thinks he's a small dog). He does have some fears of strange things like boxes and suitcases (I think that from his time as a stray), he'll bark and slinks away.He is house trained, walks well on a leash, loves his kennel, knows sit/lay (never really tried to teach him more).

Story
Hello! This is Seth a 1 /12 year old border collie mix. He is house trained, walks on leash, he is EXCELLENT with other dogs. Genuinely one of my favorite things about Seth is I never have had to worry about him being the problem with another dog. He seriously makes friends with anyone and everyone he possibly can. But all of that to say he really is the nicest boy ever. If you have a cat, no problem Seth can be best friends with a trash can. If you are looking for a family dog your kids can play with all summer, this is the guy for you. If you are retired and like to go on walks or enjoy the outdoors, this is the guy for you. If you are looking for a friend for your dog, look no further this is your guy. All Seth requires is more time or space than me and my partner have to offer right now.

Story
Adopted this sweet girl from the Humane when she was still a pup, was a stray most of her puppyhood. Fee is flexible I just really want to make sure she goes to a good and loving home. She's about 4 now and truly is as sweet as can be and snuggly to boot! Great with kids and other dogs. Has a tendency to escape fences and needs a lot of supervision. She's pretty attached to our other dog and I hate to break them up but we just do not have the ability to meet all her needs anymore. I'd say she's high need but fairly low energy, very loving and gentle. We'd be happy to provide her kennel and bedding and some toys she loves as well. I want her to be in a good home and wish I could do what she needs but with a baby in the house now we just aren't meeting her needs.
