Story
Scruff alert! Look at our cutie pie, Brandy. She’s a fine girl who is a super loyal 6-year-old, 19-lb. Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Brandy came to us under-socialized (happens to the best of us, TBH), and she has learned so much from her foster parents. She is smart and eager to please her people. In a short time, she’s discovered playing with toys and getting so many treats for doing what her people ask. Now, her favorite things to do are play, go for walks, snuggle on your lap and to be told she’s a good girl. Aww, of course she is! She picks up on things quickly, especially if there are treats involved. Brandy sits on command to wait for other dogs to walk by without reacting. And now that she’s caught on to the routine, she runs right upstairs and pops into her crate at bedtime too. If her darling face isn’t enough to make you smile, wait until you see her unmatched “wiggle-butt welcome home dance!” You’ve never been so happy to get home from the grocery store. Brandy is ready to keep living the good life and to come learn the routine at your house. She is house trained and crate trained – though she’s great around the house and doesn’t need to be crated when you’re away. She’ll be a lap dog, a strolling dog and a constant, scruffy companion. We wouldn’t be surprised if it takes Brandy a few days to get accustomed to her new people. If you stock up on both treats and patience, we have no doubt she’ll settle into your home as happily as she has in her foster home. Brandy is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $225. Apply to adopt her at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
🐱🐈🐱Cat-friendly 🐱🐈🐱 What if your house could be warmer without adjusting the thermostat or paying more for utilities? It can! That empty lap of yours is awaiting a cozy opportunity – a furry, friendly one. Bandit is a 9-year-old Rat Terrier mix who weighs 11 pounds, and he would love to be on your lap all the time. Whether you are working or unwinding at the end of the day, Bandit is all in. He’s a friendly gentleman who minds his manners around the house and gets along well with people, other dogs and cats. He’d love a laid-back environment so he can do his best napping and hanging out. He’ll work hard at keeping that dog bed from floating away and occupying those couch cushions – hey, someone has to do it, right? He’d like a little walk each day, and he does fine on the leash. You can both reward yourselves afterwards with a cuddly rest together. You’ll be living the dream! At night, Bandit sleeps nicely in bed with his person. He is house- and crate-trained and should live in a home without young children. Bandit is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $225. Apply to adopt this good guy at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
“Kippy has a calm, gentle presence that draws you in. She doesn’t demand attention — she offers herself, and that kind of love is hard to forget. That quiet trust is what makes her so special.” – Foster Mom. Miss Kippy is a 2-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing 50 pounds. She has the most stunning brindle coat and those perky ears, gah! Under all that beauty is a gentle, observant, and quietly affectionate lady. Kippy gets along with every dog she meets, both male and female. Kippy has met confident barn cats and showed curiosity without aggression or chasing. Because the cats did not run, we cannot say for sure how she would respond to a fearful or fast-moving cat. Continued supervision and slow introductions would be necessary in a home with cats. Kip is calm, patient, and comfortable around kids. Miss Kippy enjoys food-based enrichment such as Kongs filled with peanut butter and bully sticks. She is always up for a walk and time outside, but does not require high levels of exercise. This smart gal is house-trained and can be trusted to sleep on her dog bed at night. Kip knows “sit,” and can easily learn many more commands. Kippy is learning that the world can be safe. She is still gaining confidence in new environments. She would be best suited for a home that values calm energy and patience over fast expectations. A consistent routine, gentle guidance, and positive reinforcement will help her continue to build confidence. Kippy will come to you spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. If you feel you and Kip would make a good match, head over to PawsitiveTailsKC.org and fill out an adoption application. Approved applicants will be contacted to set up a meet-and-greet. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

He is a year and a half old, energetic, and very sweet. He is a great family dog who is already potty trained and does well around other dogs and children. Brownie loves playing with his toys and chewing on bones. He is highly adventurous and curious, and he especially loves to go for walks and runs. While he listens well, he still needs some further training to continue his progress.
