Story
Smokey will be 5 years old in February and is a great mix of playful and relaxed. She still enjoys running around and playing fetch, but she’s past the nonstop puppy stage and settles well in the home. She loves being around people and is happiest relaxing in the same room with you or sleeping on the couch. She has grown up alongside my daughter and has done very well with her and other kids she’s been around. Smokey is gentle, affectionate, and has never hurt a person or another animal. She prefers people and would thrive as the only dog, where she can get all the attention. She has been around cats that keep to themselves without issues. Smokey does fine when left home and has never been destructive. She’s a pretty quiet dog overall and may bark a little if someone walks by outside, but it’s minimal. She’s an affectionate, people-oriented dog who enjoys being close to her people and relaxing nearby.

Story
I rescued sweet Cassius from the streets at 4 months old. Even though I rescued to her from a bad situation I have not been able to give her the social interaction and the exercise she needs as my schedule is just too hectic. I really want her to have a home where she has more exercise and hopefully other dogs with which to interact. I have no reason to think she is not good with other dogs or kids and the like but at the same time I cannot say for sure that she is because she has had such limited interaction with other animals and no interaction with children. As sweet as she is its hard to imagine she would be a problem for any living thing on Earth.

Story
Lifehouse has a redheaded lady looking to adopt a human of her own. Pearl is an 11 year old Lab/Retriever mix. She may be considered a senior because of her age, but she sure doesn't know it! Her foster home reports that Pearl is completely house trained. She loves going for walks or hikes and can chase the felt off of a tennis ball. This gal is much more active than she appears. Although she is active, she also appreciates a good nap and sleeps through the night consistently. She is 35 pounds of love, waiting to find a human to enjoy life with. Do you need to be adopted? Reach out to Lifehouse to schedule a meet and greet! Pearl is waiting for YOU. Our adoption fee helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! Story
Little Stevie Ray sure does get around amazingly well for being blind. His foster mom reports that he uses his nose as a guide and can find everything! He loves to play, take naps, and cuddle. He even prefers being carried around like a baby. Stevie gets along great with other dogs and would love to have a friend. He is not fully house trained, but can use belly bands while roaming freely in the house. His foster has him in a dog playpen at night to give him room to move incase of accidents. Stevie needs a home with humans that are patient with him. It will take a few days for him to get comfortable and house training is not always fun. He loves to roll around in the grass and stinky dirt, so be prepared for bathing too! He sleeps all night but usually between 7-8 am he barks to be taken out. After that he is content to go back and lay down. We know there is someone out there for Stevie Ray. He is just waiting until that special person finds him and can see him as the precious little gem that he is! He is nine years old and weighs around eight pounds. Story
Charlie has a sweet comedic quality about him. He came in with Clyde and was a bit embarrassed because unlike Clyde, Charlie wanted all of the attention and lovin' upfront! Charlie has recently been learning some manners while at Lifehouse. Luckily he is very treat motivated, which makes training fairly easy! Charlie is a 1 1/2 year old male hound mix that weighs around 65 pounds. Our adoption fee helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home!
