Story
Meet Penelope Penelope is a sweet foxhound/collie mix about a year old and roughly 55 lbs. She requires a secure fence and any walk should be on a leash. She is very affectionate and great for someone who runs/walks daily. She is smart and would be very easily trained with a little effort. She would do well in a house with older children. Penelope doesn't bark much and her coat is low maintenance with little shedding. Can you open your heart to this sweet girl? Our rescue organization adopts within the following states: Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. A fully fenced yard is required to be considered for adoption (no underground fencing). All our dogs are spayed/neutered and have been fully vetted and are current on vaccinations. Story
FEMALE ADOPTER ONLY*** Buddy is a lover.....if you are a female he will give you his heart.....Want a fellow that's housetrained? He's got it covered. This fellow can snuggle up to you and make you really smile.... He's not pushy about it....He just has a great way with the ladies... He's also voice trained....so when you talk to him, its as though he really understands. Buddy will develop a bond like no other. He's okay being alone for several hours and never tears up anything or soils his surroundings. He is not a barker either....though he does whine some when youre on the other side of the door. He does great with female dogs as companions too ( small like him) but he'd rather not have to negotiate a toy with a male dog....Buddy is gentle and sweet until another dog growls at him, then he will defend himself. He may not be good with other farm animals is his one drawback...he watches them closely through the fence...but right now the roo has a fence between them...so youd never know how it would go....... He's a type of dog that really becomes your soulmate...Want to meet this special fellow? Complete and enter an application,...we will contact you and schedule a meet n greet. https://www.kentuckydachshundrescue.com/adoption-process

Story
If youre looking for a puppy who keeps life exciting, Balto is your guy! This handsome white pittie mix is equal parts curious, playful, and full-speed-ahead energy. His foster family says hes basically the Energizer Bunny in puppy form always ready for the next adventure, game of chase, or zoomie session in the yard. Balto LOVES other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy who enjoys roughhousing and playtime as much as he does. When hes not zooming around, youll usually find him hard at work destroying his beloved stuffies (seriously they dont stand a chance). He isnt the clingy, always-in-your-lap type of puppy, but he does have an affectionate side and enjoys love on his own terms. Balto is also super food motivated, which should make future training a lot of fun! So far, he already understands potty, kennel, no, and off. Speaking of potty this smart boy is doing awesome with house training and is nearly there! He settles beautifully in his kennel, sleeps through the night, and keeps his crate clean. His foster mom says most accidents happen when humans underestimate his impressive water intake Balto seems convinced he could drink the Nile dry. Baltos ideal home will be ready for all the fun (and chaos) that comes with an active puppy and stocked with plenty of durable chew toys. In return, youll get endless entertainment, puppy antics, and one very lovable sidekick. Balto has completed his vet care (neuter, vaccines, microchip) and cannot wait to meet you! His adoption fee is $300. If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP! A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the foster-to-adopt period. Story
Her name is Artemis. She has all of her early shots, including rabies, and is spayed. She's really anxious but really sweet and if you let her will not leave your side. She has the capacity to get along with other animals. I have seen it. BUT, she needs time to adjust to them. The reason why she is being listed is I want her to go to a good home where she can hopefully get the time she needs to learn better behavioral issues. She is not doing bad things all the time but goes through bouts of getting out (She will literally jump over the back fence if she feels like it. Even with direct supervision), and has other bad habits that over the past couple years have become a bit much for myself and the people I live with. The vast majority of the time she is absolutely a great dog and I have relented rehoming her but she is going to end up getting hurt and I can't be the one to come home to that. She has a lot of energy as well and has never been aggressive with kids but keep her calm.

Story
When we rescued our sweet Winifred (Winnie Bea) never thought 6mon later we'd be forced to find her a new home! Her past is unknown other than she was prob on her own&had litter of pups@one time. She came to us with a "happy tail" so we've not crate trained her fearing she could make it worse requiring surgery& its greatly improved. Shes 81lbs now, She's not potty trained but goes on pads indoors.*if she had a big fenced in yard2feel secure she'd prob be potty-trained cause she pees outdoors on a leash but wethink a fence would reallyhelp her feel safe. Shes got food allergies&frequent ear infections/skin issues if not followed. Needs a patient family willing to keep training&love her like we do.(knows Sit, Paw)Shes reactive to sounds, but once she sees its safe shes good. Loves2play, toys, chew, other dogs&hanging out on couch with her family. Needs home with no small kids only cause she doesnt realize her size. Small dog selective-incident w/neighbors dog only reason shes being rehomd

Story
Waylon is a 3ish year old, 60ish-pound professional best friend with a specialty in making himself at home wherever he goes. This social guy genuinely seems to believe that everyone is his friend. Calm dogs? Friends. Hyper dogs? Friends. Cats? Friends. Kids? Friends. Adults? Obviously friends. Waylon is equal-opportunity when it comes to making new buddies. Hes also got a wonderfully goofy personality. When Waylon decides its time to come see you, he doesnt simply walk overhe gallops. And when the zoomies hit, youd better stand back because this big boy has places to be and absolutely no brakes. Once the excitement wears off, Waylon is perfectly happy to settle in and hang out with his people. He is potty trained and crate trained and even walks well on a leash so hes already got some important household manners mastered. And then theres the sploot. That sploot is spectacular! It may be his greatest asset. See for yourself in the photos! Waylon is the kind of dog who is easy to love: friendly, playful, affectionate, and wonderfully silly. He is hanging with us for a little as we get to know him better but he'll be looking for a forever family soon who will appreciate his big personality, his big heart, and his occasionally questionable decision to attempt to knock you down like a bowling pin during his zoomies! Waylon has completed his veterinary care (neuter, vaccines, microchip). His adoption fee is $250. If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP! A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period.
