Story

Mateo is approximately 4 years old. He came to us for board and train in April 2025. He then went back to his owner and became a farm dog. He lived in the barn and was good around the livestock. The owner decided he did not have enough for the dog to do, so he asked for our help to rehome him. Mateo is trained in basic obedience and is remote collar trained if you choose to use one. He is kennel trained and house broken. He is a high energy GSD and needs a good amount of work. He will be a great dog for someone who has the time to put in. He has been around cats and other dogs with no issues, but would prefer a single dog home. Because of his energy, we are not keen on him going to a house with young children. We are offering free lessons to his adopter until the relationship is established.

Hi there! I’m Oakley and I’m ready to find my perfect forever home! I may be the perfect specimen, if I do say so myself. I’m an adult dog, so I’m past the puppy-crazies but I am still plenty active! I love to go on walks and hang out with my favorite people (well, that’s really any people, of any size!) At the end of the day though, I love to cuddle up on the couch and just rest. I would prefer to be the only dog in the home, so I can absolutely soak up your affection. My other favorite thing is…you guessed it! Snacks! Well, hi there! My names Spartacus! I am an older guy but like all good things, I only get better with age! I like to think I have perfected the art of balancing fun with relaxation. These days, you will usually find me soaking up the sunshine in the play yard or curled up on my favorite fluffy bed for a well-earned nap. I still enjoy going out for walks and exploring, but I'm just as happy spending a quiet afternoon lounging by your side. I can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but don't worry, it does not take much to win me over. A few treats, some good ear scratches, and we'll be best friends. (Trust me, treats are the way to my heart.) One of my best features is my expressive little "eyebrows." They give me the funniest, slightly puzzled look that makes everyone smile. I am a smart guy, too! I already know "sit" and "shake," walk nicely on a leash, and would love to keep learning with a family of my own. I have lived with other dogs before, and if you have one at home, I would love to meet them first to make sure we are a good match. I would do best in a home without cats. If you are looking for a loyal companion who is past the puppy stage, enjoys life's simple pleasures, and still has plenty of love to share, I think we'd make a pretty great team. Hi, I'm Rum! I may be a little older but don't let that fool you, I still have plenty of pep in my step! I'm a true gentle giant: a big, goofy guy with an even bigger heart. I may not always realize just how big I am, but my sweet personality and happy-go-lucky attitude make me easy to love. I like to think I'm the best of both worlds. I'm past the puppy stage, so you won't have to keep up with endless puppy antics, but I'm still an active guy who loves to play, go on adventures, and indulge in the occasional zoomies. When playtime is over, I'm more than happy to curl up for a nap or lean in for some cuddles. I am great on a leash, know a few basic commands, and would love a family that's excited to keep teaching me new things (especially if treats are involved!). If you already have a dog at home, I'd love to meet them first to make sure we'll be good friends. Cats are a little too exciting for me, so I'd do best in a cat-free home.
